I don't have a family, but my first fixer upper home. I haven't found anything yet that I can't get into it. I have the moon and tunes package which is great around town and on the road. The car is comfortable on long trips and my mileage is 29 city and 33 highway. I think that's because my average speed is 85 MPH on the highway. Love this car!

Nice Little American Rice Burner

I bought the Vibe solely because it is a re-badged Toyota Matrix, and it has not let me down. The gas mileage average is about 20/26 (city/hwy)on 93 octane (even though the manual recommends 87, I get better mileage on 93). The ride quality is comfortable, especially on the highway, but There are minor creaks and rattles emanating from the rear of the car when driving over potholes or expansion joints. The engine is a bit sluggish, for my taste, but a K & N air filter and a cool air scoop have added some welcome ponies to my stable (I couldn't get the GT because Pontiac does not offer it with an automatic, and I am not the only driver in my household).

Eco-friendly & Reliable

Compares well to Forester, which has poor MPG and $3+k more. Matrix less visually appealing; Toyota misled on low-cost financing; couldn't get ABS & SAB combo; forced to take standard options. After 6k miles, Vibe runs well, gets exc. mileage, Moons & Tunes stereo is a pleasure, plenty of room for big dog, guitar and gear. Paid ~$16.2 with rebate before tax: 5 sp., M & T pkg., ABS, SAB, bumper cover & cargo mat ordered from factory to specs (Salsa Red, black/gray trim and dark interior). Car performs well in snow and summer heat, gets exc. mileage (35-39 hgwy.) and has met expectations. Hoping for Toyota reliability over the long haul.

The $2000 Cash Rebate+some GM Card dollars got me out the door at $17,600. (MSRP was $20005,tax is 6%)Power+Moons andTunes+Wheels+6 CD+Side Airbags+Automatic Base Vibe... Ride good, a little jittery...Light sensor location and sentivity sucks - can't shut off auto lights. I have the guages dimmer for nightime, but can't see it during sunny days cause the inspection sticker blocks the sun, and the lights come on...Center Console too short to rest my arm when driving - I drive with my thumb and index finger, and my arm rested on my knee....Got foam from work to place in the back for sliding. Also have some buckets for the cargo area.
