Used 2010 Nissan Versa Hatchback Consumer Reviews
Nice Little Commuter
Because my son had an accident with our '98 Honda Accord (233,000 miles), I had to give him my '07 Honda Fit manual shift (108,000 miles) so that he can get to school. I had to buy a commuter car and the Versa was my choice. It is an SL fully loaded. I will be putting in excess of 45,000 miles a year on this car just like I did with the Honda Fit. So far for commuting, the Versa is miles ahead of the Fit. The '07 Fit is a very fun car, but not a commuter car for the city. The ride is just too stiff on NY City streets. If I really need fun, thankfully I still have a supercharged BMW 540 on the side.
Great car
I have owned this car for a week with the premium package. I had a Saturn Vue prior and have not noticed a decrease in comfort or the quality of driving. I test drove a Honda Fit and this car and the Fit could not match the comfort of this car. My two year old daughter loves it. I still feel like I am setting in my SUV instead of a small car, but I can maneuver so much better. Great car!

Squeaky Brakes
We purchased our 2010 Versa. In April 2010. Over all it is a great car. Great gas mileage. But the only problem we are having with ours is it doesn't even have 10,000 mile on it but the brakes squeak. We took it in to the dealers several times. For repair but they still squeak.
Upholstery a nightmare
Only complaint about this car is its interior upholstery. Everything sticks to it, therefore it is constantly covered with fibers from clothing and whatever else is flying in the air. Vacuuming helps, but have to work really hard to remove particles from upholstery. Even the upholstery itself seems to fluff up when it's vacuumed. The seats are very soft and comfortable but impossible to keep clean. Other than this complaint, this car is very nice.
Very nice car for the money!
My wife had a 2002 Subaru Forester and it was time to get her a new car. She loved the Forester so I knew that it was going to be difficult finding her something she would like as well. After looking at the Honda Fit, Subaru Impreza, Toyota Matrix, and VW Golf, there was no question that the Versa was the right car for her. She absolutely loves the car, especially the unique Espresso Black color, which is actually a dark brown. The gas mileage is tremendous and it is really fun to drive. I would recommend spending a bit extra to get the SL package as it is much more comfortable and the standard options it comes with make the driving experience better.
