Lots of Power, Lots of Fun!!
This has been the best vehicle purchase I have made. This truck has power to spare! I had no problem in 2 feet of snow, hauling gravel, even just going to town this truck is at the top of the list if you ask me.
Chey,Ford,& Dodge........... MOVE OVER !
This is my Third Nissan Pick Up, they run for ever. I was happy with the 86 Long Bed V6,and 91 4x4. Lost both to sons who needed a Dependable vehicle. Once again my time to move on to a new truck. I checked out the BIG 3 but no one had the power like the Titan. I've never owned amything with this much Power under the hood. The ride is quiet and smooth, you don't feel like your driving a truck because it handles the road so well. The rumble from the exhaust is a reminder of the power that doesn't seem to stop, I'm 6'4 tall and I'm comfortable in any position in this cab. 30% saving's on my insurance is nice too. Love the way it turns head's,This is one of the best looking trucks on the Road .

FUN TO DRIVE
NICE TRUCK VERY FAST AND FUN TO DRIVE.FUEL MILEAGE COULD BE BETTER BUT NOT BAD FOR A V8 WITH 305HP.LOTS OF CUP HOLDERS.
New Nissan Titan
I purchased my Titan after driving small trucks for 15 years and it was a big change, Overall the truck seems perfect for what I do Boating,Fishing,Beach,Lake and Camping.I can hardly wait for the break in period to be over ( 500 miles ) to start towing my boat
Titan King Cab, 4X4, Galaxy, LE
I am extemely pleased with my Titan. I have been pleasantly suprised by the layout and finish of the interior. The engine power is smoothly transferred through the drive train to the wheels. The ride of the vehicle is really comfortable, while being firm enough to handle off-road riding. Being a former Ford, F150, Lightning (2000) owner, I do believe that Ford, as well as GM have a real full-size, competitor, in the Titan, for their dominance of US pickup sales. With Nissan's planned, addition of options and other improvements on the 2004 model, for later roll out, the competition is here.
TITAN RULES
After much research, I traded my 2000 Ford F-150 4x4, extended cab for the Titan. This truck rocks! From bumper to bumper and inside out, Nissan has hit a home run with this vehicle.
Titan LE Crew
Less than 1000 miles, but like it better than F-150 that I test drove.
Great Trcuk
Best truck I have ever driven. Fun, powerful, responsive and comforable. It is a great pleaseure vehicle and a great work truck all in one. It is fun to drive and a pleaseure to ride in. Very well thought out in design and features. Wonderful truck!!
titan
Its only been a week but so far so good. Very good power, handling, and braking make this the most rewarding driving truck i have owned. Love the quality feel and the rumble of the exhaust. Rockford stereo is extremely punchy and has pretty accurate sound. Love the 5 speed auto, its very smooth and overdrive is amazing turning 1500rpm at 65mph. Satisfied customer so far.
Love it!
I've never owned a truck before. I almost bought the Tundra, but glad I didn't. After shopping around, I believe the Titan is by far the best deal. I walked out of the dealership paying only $31k and some change and the only options I didn't get were the DVD and NAV. The only thing I've hauled is the family so far and there was plenty of room for the five of us. The wife loves driving it also. I let her drive it for a week while her sister was in town. She called me at work and said she loved my truck. Thank goodness she still called it my truck :-)
good truck except
good truck but theree should be an option for a quieter exhaust system the stock system is neat sounding but I dont want to hear it all the time especially in a LE edition
Titan
It took four trips to two different dealerships to find the rattles in the dash. Turns out that the two front corners of the dash had not been secured. Also had a paint defect where the paint peeled off of the front bumper. After a couple of hundred dollars in car rental fees I hope everything goes smoother now.
Great Truck
The Titan is a great truck. It performs very well and the handling is unbelieveable for a full-sized truck. The Titan is a bargain when compared to the competitors with similar features, and the Titan will outshine them all while acheiving similar fuel economy. The interior is very well thought out and the utility package makes the bed even more functional.
04 Titan LE
This truck is awesome. I bought it to pull my boat and do honey-dos around the house. I have driven many trucks before, but this one stands out. I love my truck. Power is great under load as well. I had a Chevy Trailblazer pull up next to me and from a standing start ( I was pulling an 18.5 ft boat), I pulled away from him easily! The truck handles well too and was priced less than the competition equipped comparably.
Bought it for RV use
I love the truck. Lots of power to pull a good size trailer in the half ton class. I have also used it with a 8' slide-in camper that is over weight. It handles it well but needs overloads and a stonger frame to reduce flex. Performance problem is surging under decleration at around 3000 rpm loaded or unloaded, Cruise or manual. Overall mpg is 13 with a max of 17. Would like better of course. Sometimes the seat & mirror memory system act peculiar but shut down and start over and it comes up OK. When I lost my lug nut key, the dealerships (3) wouldn't remove or let me remove the locks from my other wheels without a charge even tho I paid for and ordered a replacement key. Bad policy.
titan is tough
smooth performance, deceiving quick, very quiet inside, Handles like a much smaller vehicle, smooth exhaust note. Tows a trailer (5000lbs/with load)very easily.
Buy One
Test drove Ford F-150 Crew cab,Silverado 1500 Crew Cab, Toyota Tundra, then Nissan Titan, researched it ,bought it. Gas mileage is pretty good. Built much better than Silverado or the F-150. My experience at the dealership was a disaster, I don't recomend Valencia Nissan, sneaky little guys, but I was prepared...........Thanks to Edmunds.
what a ride
This truck is a pure and flat out blast to drive!! And the power.....ohhh the power!! The smoothness of the ride is unequaled..and I test drove the ford and Dodge Ram before I finally drove the Titan!!I am a Titan man for life!!
sweet ride
I did masive research on trucks and I'm able to buy at or below invoice o on Ford's and GM's and still wanted the Titan. Ricart ran an add for a SE KC w/popular pkg splach gaurds and the most expensive floor mats ever 22900.00 I drove as fast as possible to the dealer and bought.this is one sweet ride. I must say with all the dealers I went to there salesmen didnt know squate about this truck or what you could get for it.
My Titan
Driving a Chevy silverado since 1997. Love the Chevy like a Rock. Then came along the Nissan Titan, weary at first new truck new problems. Kept reserching ,and asking others got nothing but great pro's with some con's. Had to test drive rode good, power no problem, can see all around no blind spots, put together right. Purchased, so lone Chevy there's a new truck in town called the TITAN!
Titanium Tough
I have approx.2000 miles on the truck and the acceleration, torque and towing capability is great. The mpg's is a little lower than expected but the ride, handling and interior features are excellent.Would recommend truck to anyone.
Loving the best truck I've owned.
Really enjoying my purchase. Have about 38,000 miles with no problems except the brakes which were immediatelly replaced by Nissan. No problems with any thing else. I tow a 33' travel trailer with plenty of power to spare.
Powerful American truck, foreign badge
Awesome truck, great power, gas milage is not too bad. Factory 6 disc cd player is good until you crank it up past 19 (it goes to 31) then it distorts beyond normal expectations.
best import full size truck ever.
well it has turned a lot of heads.some people mistake it for a dodge.people love the design.even had my truck damage by some ford, dodge lovers.they love to race me.
the truck
This is a awesome ride and is great on road and off road. this is a all around great truck for the price.
Awesome
Nice truck. Ride is as good as F-150. Engine is in a league of its own. Fuel mileage surprisingly good...if you stay away from the 305 horses. I got 22 on a trip across South Carolina that combined Interstate and secondary roads. Some fit and finish issues...but dealership is fixing those. Dash rattles have sorted themselves out with miles. I would buy the same truck again!
So far so good
very well put together vehicle, some minor bumps along the way. Loose heat shield..replaced. rattle in dash..fixed. Very quick truck but also very smooth ride. Comparing it too my 2002 Ram isnt even fair as the Titan smokes it
The BEST new full size truck PERIOD
I have had several pickups in my driving career and this Titan is the best, most funniest vehicle I have ever owned. Nissan has done an incredible job in designing and engineering every detail of this vehicle. I highly recommend this truck to anyone from the daily mom who picks up their kids from soccer practice to the hard working construction professional. With the Titan's incredible power, enormous interior, standard features and accessories, and of course exceptional value, you cannot lose with this truck. Now go out to your local dealer and see for yourself!!
This is an awsome truck
This truck is absolutely amazing! It is by far the nicest vehicle I have ever owned and I've bought new vehicles every year for the past 4 years. I've been a dedicated Ford guy and this Truck far and away beats the new F-150. I also bought a "04" XTerra with the World championship package for my Wife and we are now a dedicated Nissan Family!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Love this truck
While I think Nissan should have done a little better with the quality of materials inside the truck, I am very happy with it. Everyone looks at it. Nice to know I have the power under the hood. Planning a 2000 mile road trip soon so we'll se how it behaves.
Great Truck
This truck is overall a great product. As you have noticed everyone loves the power, large cabin and ride Comfort. I have had mine in the shop several times already for various reasons, one being the front brake rotors. Nissan has issued a Bulletin to all dealers regarding the correction of this problem with Most Titan trucks. The interior plastic scratches very easily and yes I do have many rattle noises from the dash which the dealer says they can't do much about. I also had a very annoying squeaking noise from the front passenger seat which I fixed myself. The Utility Bed is awesome with the spray in bed liner, and bed extender, and tie down hooks.
Look out Detroit Nissans' here!!
Ever since I found out Nissan was building a full size I read everything about it and knew I wanted one. I took my sentra in for a recall and drove home in my Titan. 305 hp 379lb ft torque is all you need to say but theres more. Comfortable quiet smooth with great features some not available from the Big 3 trucks. Best thing is the looks I get from people who have no clue what I'm driving or wait maybe its all the compliments oh wait, I think its both! I love my TITAN!!!!
japanese muscle
awesome truck lots of room and power.
Awsome driving experience!
I have owned Ford, Chevy, and Dodge trucks in the past. I have NEVER been this happy with a truck, ever. versatility, form and function are all aparent at high levels. I tow a 22' boat and love the performance.
My Dream come true My Titan: A Mans drea
When I first seen the Nissan Titan I was in Awwww, I knew that I had to see one of these Full size trucks by Nissan. Before the thought of Nissan comming out with a new style truck my first thought was A Puny little truck,,,, But to my amazement I was wrong, Very WRONG. I bought my Titan and am really Impressed with it. Everything about it is right.
04 LE KC 4x4 Big Tow
Awesome truck...Killer engine...in your face styling...great Utilitrack system...comfortable seats with power memory and power pedals...a blast to drive and you will stand out from the crowd!
FUN IN THE MUD
I have only owned my truck for a couple of weks, however the first time I rode in it I knew it was something different. I have been a dedicated GM man, but after the transmission problems I have experienced from gm trucks I thought I would try something different. This truck is powerfull, nimble and tough in the mud, espically the OFF Road pkg. The first night I took it to the local mud pit and tried to sick it. After learning to turn off the VDC it was almost unstoppable. Both of my two friends were very impressed, that is saying a lot since one owns a lifted fullsize dodge and the other a lifted F-150.
Awesome Truck
I bought my titan in June 04. Have to say that the horsepower is great. Gas mileage not real bad. Then again it is a V-8. Very comfortable and roomy. I am a previous nissan owner (2001) frontier, and the quality remains the same in the fullsize truck. Nissan gives you alot for your money. With other truck manufactures, you had to upgrade to get the engine power and options. Pricing is alot less then some of the competitors. You will not go wrong buying a nissan. The dealer that I purchased it from has great after sale service. Go test drive one and see for yourself. You will not be dissappointed.
EXCESSIVELY LOUD IS ONLY DRAWBACK
I purchased the truck loving all the engineering and design that went into it.The only drawback is the loud exhaust and nissan has no fix yet. I love everything about the truck except the annoying NOISE if they fix tis they ahve a winner.
Titan Turd
My Titan was great for about the first 6000 miles. Still looks and rides great and plenty of power but,I have had brake problems twice, radio problems, water in the floorboard, window switches, squeaks, rattles, paint rubbing off, mudguards came off.You know I can only take this thing in for repairs so often. It's like having another kid. Plus a $600 a month note. Thats my Titan 4x4 LE good luck!
That thing got a Hemi? Nope, better.
You simply cannot buy more truck for the money. Ford and Chevy have Nissan on the interior niceties, but drivetrain, engine, and usability define the Nissan
No More F150's
I will make this simple. The interior is huge. I am 6'5" and fit in here easily with a grown man sitting behind me. The truck accelerates very quickly, shifts smooth and gets great gas mileage. The 6 disc changer delivers studio quality sound and the ride quality rivals most full size sedans. Also, road noise does not exist, it is quiet. Now for one important thing...price. I bought this truck $3500 cheaper than a comparably equipped Ford F150 supercrew. Ford has been #1 in my book and many others for years, but I firmly believe that it is time for a new leader.
Don't buy an F-150 yet
Just bought the truck last week and am in love. Go for the Crew Cab Le, you won't regret the extra money. This truck has it all: power, looks, comfort, and utility. Gas mileage is what you would expect for the power this truck has. I tear up my friends Silverado with the 5.3.
OUR NEW BABY
THIS TRUCK IS GREAT! THERE IS SO MUCH ROOM INSIDE I DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO WITH IT ALL.
Much better built than my 02 Ford F 150.
Awesome power and towing capability. It just seems like it is built better than my 2002 Ford F 150. I really like the 6 disc changer. I would recommend it to anyone.
WOW!!!!!!!
WOW, if you are considering, stop considering and go out and get one. This truck is amazing, I have not had this much fun driving for a long time. THANKS Nissan for hitting a grandslam!!!!!!!!
Not too shabby....
Handles beautifully, so comfortable. As someone said above, back to the dealership within a day of buying, and again within a week. The lights staying on on the dash are a problem with the offroad package: a clip bent by the front passenger side tire made the cable go into the rim and get worn through by the tire causing the ABS, VDC and slip light to stay on - which means there was actually no ABS in the front. The dealership was able to fix this, along with a rattle in the front dash.
First review...1000 miles
We bought the truck on 12 Jan 2004 and in the last week we have put just over 1k miles on her. SE King Cab 2WD model with the Pop Bench Pkg, Big Tow Pkg and Bed Pkg. $1400 under MSRP was the best we found after shopping 4 lots in our area over 2 weeks. Out of 35 trucks they had, less than 5 now. So getting them far below MSRP is not gonna happen here in Socal. Were actually going to replace my wifes 99.5 Pathfinder with an '04 but after she has seen and driven the Titan it was a no brainer. $3k less than the Pathy. My wife just can't wipe the grin off her face. And to tell the tructh, niether can I. I love the power and feel of this Full Sized TRUCK!
Lovin it every day
I've only owned it three weeks. Have 1500 miles on it. I love every minute in it. It's comfortable, quiet, has really positve handling, and enough power and pep to delight anyone unless they happen to be Big Daddy Don Garlits (sp). I average 15 mpg clutzing around town and back and forth to work. Took a 200 mile trip last weekend on state highways and got 17mpg. I'm sure on a trip on interstate at steady speeds it will easily get the advertized 19mpg or better. A really great vehicle with plenty of room for me and my five gandkids. Bob
DRIVE ONE !!!
I have been a Ford man for 30 years. After problems with my last two I decided to try something new.So far I love this truck.I opted out of the "Big Tow" & "Offroad Pkg" to get better mpg. With 2500 miles on the truck I'm getting 16-18 mpg (Better than my 5.4 Fords & lots of smooooth power).Silky transmission. DRIVE ONE !!!
