Best all around package
The perfect car or truck does not exist. However, the new Titan is a close as you can come to this elusive state in a truck. Loaded with Navi, DVD and anything elese money could buy, my truck was expensive, but I love it. Coming from a Tundra and after testing the new F150 and Dodge 1500 Hemi, there is no denying the faxt that this truck is so much more refined in the ride, quiet in the cabin, loaded with features and roomy (!). Go check it out for yourself if you don't believe me.
Fun to drive
I find it difficult not to put the pedal to the floor. The acceleration is exhilirating. It draws a lot of attention. I am constantly getting positive comments on its appearance. Most people are shocked to see a Nissan this size.

2004 Nissan Titan comments
Tough vehicle, I get lots of admirers. I think it has Ford, Chevy, and Toyota beat on the "macho" scale. This truck sucks down some gas! Had a problem with brakes which Nissan acknowledges with Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) NTB04-066. They did service to the truck but did not replace the rotors as the TSB recommends. Seems to be a temp fix which lasts about 4000 miles. Problem is vibration in steering wheel when pedal is depressed. I expect this problem to return every 4000 miles until they replace the rotors. The truck does stop fine and handles great. Lots of power and roomy cab.
what a truck!!!!!!!!!!!
Hands down the best truck I've ever driven. I have owned GMC's and drive a Ford at work. This truck is more comfortable than either the Ford or GMC. The Titan has lots of power which can be felt by the slightest touch of the accelerator. I have the captains seats up front and love the huge center console storage. Gas mileage isn't great, but is about what I was expecting. This is the 1st Nissan product that I have bought, but will definitely not be the last.
I love this truck!
"Drivers start your engines!!!" There was a moment right after I turned the ignition that I thought I was in a NASCAR. The deep throaty engine responds on every touch of the throttle, letting you know there are 305 Horses under the hood just dying to be let go. None of the Big 3 compare overall, though they each have there bright spots. The LE has more standard options than the F150, and is 4 to 5K cheaper. I could go on and on, but in short, go drive one, in fact do what I did, pick a dealer that has Nissans and Ford's together or Chevy's and drive each back to back. You'll soon be driving a Titan, and be the envy of the neighborhood."
Loving it, but...
Coveted Tundras forever, thought about Chevy/Dodge, then test drove the Titan. GAME OVER! Bed features and interior design for the $$ involved made this one a no-brainer. The engine's power is addictive; gas mileage no worse than anything else this size. Driver's seat extremely comfortable. Graphite/Titanium leather the way to go (What's the butterscotch color? Blech.) Love the stereo, esp. the sub. No sunroof, but I don't miss it. BUT... add-ons back-ordered, minor quirks like faulty airbag sensor, clock malfunction, broken spring on storage lock cover...all have left me with a loaner at this point. But I'm not complaining (too loudly)....
JUST DRIVE IT
THIS IS THE BEST TRUCK I HAVE EVER DRIVEN IS THIS CLASS!I HAVE DRIVEN THE NEW FORD 150 AND THIS TITAN IS THE BEST .FORGET ABOUT THE DODGE,CHEVY AND THE TUNDRA CANT COME CLOSE.THANKS NISSAN!!!!!
titan
Love the truck, exhaust noise a little to much.Steering wheel wobbles occassionally over tracks? A pillars way to fat. Electronic throttle to jerky.
The verry best
I have been waiting for a truck to have all of the awsome things that is offered by the titan
titan upgrade
I just love this titan --- 4wd is totally cool!! I love just geting stuck and dirty!!! You really need to drive this fun and exciting truck!!!
Nissan Titan Best Built Truck in America
Despite the seatbelt recall, everything else on the Truck is superb. Original brakes lasted over 80K. Will surpass 100 miles by Dec 2009. Now that it is broken in, I can't wait for the next 200,000 miles. This truck is my quad. The vehicle is in excellent condition. Love my truck.
Safety
When I purchased my Titan I had researched and test drove all the available 1/2 crew cabs. My wife and I felt the Titan offered the most truck for the money. The only thing I couldn't find much on was safety. Unfortunately I tested this myself in a snowstorm. My wife and two young children were driving in the middle of NOWHERE when we hit a blizzard. Long story short, we went into the ditch and rolled one time. The entire family was unharmed (not even a scracth). I was able to climb out of the ditch and drive 100 miles to the closest town. I was amazed at how well the truck held up. The only damage was minor cosmetic. I'm very impressed.
2004 Nissan Titan LE Crew Cab
Fantastic truck. Tons of interior room with an innovative bed design. Excellent acceleration and handling. I much prefer it to the F-150s I drove.
2004 Nissan Titan
I was a die hard ford guy until I drove the nissan. The new ford that I drove just didn't seem to have the power. The nissan when you kick it down has quite a bit of force. It will set you right back in the seat.
LOVIN' EVERY MINUTE OF IT
BEEN SHOPPING FOR A BETTER PART OF 2 TO 3 YEARS ON AND OFF. TEST DROVE ALL THE FULL SIZE TRUCKS ON THE MARKET. GREW UP ON FORD AND ALMOST BOUGHT THE NEW F150 BUT BACKED OUT. AFTER TEST DRIVING THE TITAN 3 TIMES I WAS CONVINCED THAT NISSAN PULLED IT OFF. I GOT THE LE KING CAB AND AM LOVING IT. PLAN ON HAVING TRUCK FOR 10 YEARS AND IM SURE IT WILL EASILY LAST WELL BEYOND THAT. 2 WORDS FOR EVERYONE "THINK TITAN." NOW GO FORTH AND BUY ONE.
Best truck for the money, hands down!
I did a lot of research before buying the Titan in its first production year. It's almost 2 years now and I still find my self looking at it as if I just bought it. I have taken many long trips in it and I cannot remember a more comfortable vehicle. The power of the 5.6 Endurance is impressive and makes the Titan very fun to drive. Mileage isn't the greatest, but then it's a truck, not an economy car.
sweet, sweet sweet
Went to test drive 350Z, great car. Daughter told me that car made no sense and that I always talked about the Titan. Test drove it and fell in love. Fun powerful and comfortable. I went to visit daughter 500 miles away and found that I was much more refeshed than when I use to drive my maxima there. Trip down and back got 17 mpg, half way back found that I had been using 4 and not overdrive. Next trip should get 19 - 20. This driving includes hills of West Virginia and south west Virginia into North Carolina. Added duals with flowmaster and everyone will stop and watch you go by.
titan
great power fun to drive like a car with power and size of a truck switched from an escalade dont miss it at all
A little disappointed with this truck
The truck looks nice, rides nice, but two things are driving me crazy.....when the A/C is on low it sounds like someone is breathing with an iron lung under my dashboard. The second thing, when driving at 55, the exhaust note is annoying, too loud and constant. I wonder if anyone out there is experiencing that?
rate it
This is the best truck i ever haved own. It is so confortable that my wife dont let me drive. She used the truck for everything. Thank you for desing this truck.
No More Chevy Silverado's
The Nissan Titan was definitely my truck of choice. I've driven nothing but Chevy Silverado's 4x2 the last seven years and this beats Chevy hands down in overall performance. My wife normally didn't drive my Silverado's but she is always eager to drive my Titan. I hope Nissan continues with reliability, improvements and maintenance for the Titan in 2005 and beyond. I own the Smoke SE 4x4 model with Power Captain Chairs, Off Road Package and Utility package.
Great Truck
The Titan has been a great truck so far (2 months). Great features and excellent performance. The interier is huge and comfortable. The Titan has superior options for its price (more options than the Tundra and less costly than the F150).
2004 Titan
Great truck for the buck
nissan titan is a sweet truck
my dad just bought the truck a little while ago and its awsome the first day we got it my dad had it up to a pretty high speed and we realy coudent tell its fast as any thing
AMAZING TITAN
I am a new 1/2 ton truck driver, and I am so happy I bought the 2004 Titan. Every time I turn the ignition on, I am greeted with the manly roar of the exhaust. The power of this truck is amazing. I love the feel and the looks too. The other trucks in its class had not even come close. The Titan was the only truck I could feel good owning!
Solid Truck
Overall the Titan is a solid truck. We have the Big Tow and average about 13.5 with the first 2 tanks. Interior plastic is cheap feeling. Seats and comfort is excellent. CC is very roomy. Exterior is excellent, the truck is a looker. I have yet to tow anything heavy. With the power underhood, heavy loads should not be much of a problem!
New Nissan Titan
I purchased my Titan after driving small trucks for 15 years and it was a big change, Overall the truck seems perfect for what I do Boating,Fishing,Beach,Lake and Camping.I can hardly wait for the break in period to be over ( 500 miles ) to start towing my boat
Titan King Cab, 4X4, Galaxy, LE
I am extemely pleased with my Titan. I have been pleasantly suprised by the layout and finish of the interior. The engine power is smoothly transferred through the drive train to the wheels. The ride of the vehicle is really comfortable, while being firm enough to handle off-road riding. Being a former Ford, F150, Lightning (2000) owner, I do believe that Ford, as well as GM have a real full-size, competitor, in the Titan, for their dominance of US pickup sales. With Nissan's planned, addition of options and other improvements on the 2004 model, for later roll out, the competition is here.
TITAN RULES
After much research, I traded my 2000 Ford F-150 4x4, extended cab for the Titan. This truck rocks! From bumper to bumper and inside out, Nissan has hit a home run with this vehicle.
Love it
I love this truck. It has lots of interior room, is very quiet and has lots of power.
Awsome Power
Power, performance, comfort, and rugged good looks make this vehicle a real pleasure to drive. I look forward to it every day. The reliability of Nissan vehicles is second to none. This is my third Nissan over the last 23 years. You could count the number of mechanical failures I have had on them on one hand's fingers.
The Titan of Trucks
You must drive this truck for a little bit just to see how great it is.
Love It!
Tons of room. I am 6'5" and have @ least 5" of leg room sitting behind driver seat W/it slid all the way back.Gas milage is averaging about 12- 13 but its a powerful truck I wasnt expecting 20MPG or better.I love the flip up rear seats.Being taller I do tend to be looking through the top tint of the windshield but its not that big a deal.I was suprised that I could not activate the interior lights by fully engaging the dimmer knob. You have to flip switches individually to make this happen. Also my dimmer switch seems extra sensitive and I find it difficult to maintain the dim setting for dash lights that I like.Had to replace center console in 1st month.
Titan04
good, good, good, really good, good ,good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good, good
Titan Review
I have had my Titan for 3-months now and I keep expecting to find something I do not like about the truck. Nothing yet!! This a fun truck to drive. It has awesome power at all speeds. I have had my boat on and come up to 3/4 and 1 ton pulling trailers or boats and you can pass them with with tons of power left over. It also sounds great just running around town. Nice mellow tone.
Great Fill Size Truck
Truck is a blast to drive. Very fast, very smooth. I has planned to buy a Ford F-150, but the Titan was just better in so many ways, except price but that's just your basic "get what you pay for". Gets compliments all the time from people in parking lots as I am getting in or out.
Whew! V8 power to go
Never thought I would own a Nissan full size truck. The engine and exhaust really talk to you when you lay into the throttle. Handling and ride are excellent. The brakes are a little soft, but no really problem. Cannot wait to get all the break in miles.
What a great feeling truck to drive
The truck itself is fun to drive, my only concern the lack of quality and the lack of customer service from nissan USA. Many issues with part not fitted right or not at all.
More Bang for your Buck
I used to have a 2000 Toyota Tacoma 4X, and it was a great and dependable vehicle. I examined the Dodge Ram 1500 and the Titan, and though the Dodge offerd many incentives to buy, I still felt the Titan offered more Bang for the buck. I also feel with the great reputation of Nissan, this truck will give years of good dependable service. I only have this truck for just over a month, but it performs as advertized, and the interior is like a Infinite with a bed attached. I would highly recommend this truck. Look-Out Ford Dodge & Chevy P.S..Everyone looks at this truck when I go buy, its still very rare around here...!
First weeks with truck.
I like everything about the truck except the controls for the drivers seat. Everytime I enter the truck my leg hits the seat controls and adjusts it slightly.A think the controls could be a little lower to prevent that.
DAMN...WHAT A TRUCK!
WOW! This truck is awesome. I never thought a full size truck can handle so good and have such a boom at the launch... I love it!
little titan that climp
Great Truck!!! love the towing and everything else!!
Titan LE Crew
Less than 1000 miles, but like it better than F-150 that I test drove.
Great Trcuk
Best truck I have ever driven. Fun, powerful, responsive and comforable. It is a great pleaseure vehicle and a great work truck all in one. It is fun to drive and a pleaseure to ride in. Very well thought out in design and features. Wonderful truck!!
titan
Its only been a week but so far so good. Very good power, handling, and braking make this the most rewarding driving truck i have owned. Love the quality feel and the rumble of the exhaust. Rockford stereo is extremely punchy and has pretty accurate sound. Love the 5 speed auto, its very smooth and overdrive is amazing turning 1500rpm at 65mph. Satisfied customer so far.
Bought it for RV use
I love the truck. Lots of power to pull a good size trailer in the half ton class. I have also used it with a 8' slide-in camper that is over weight. It handles it well but needs overloads and a stonger frame to reduce flex. Performance problem is surging under decleration at around 3000 rpm loaded or unloaded, Cruise or manual. Overall mpg is 13 with a max of 17. Would like better of course. Sometimes the seat & mirror memory system act peculiar but shut down and start over and it comes up OK. When I lost my lug nut key, the dealerships (3) wouldn't remove or let me remove the locks from my other wheels without a charge even tho I paid for and ordered a replacement key. Bad policy.
titan is tough
smooth performance, deceiving quick, very quiet inside, Handles like a much smaller vehicle, smooth exhaust note. Tows a trailer (5000lbs/with load)very easily.
what a ride
This truck is a pure and flat out blast to drive!! And the power.....ohhh the power!! The smoothness of the ride is unequaled..and I test drove the ford and Dodge Ram before I finally drove the Titan!!I am a Titan man for life!!
sweet ride
I did masive research on trucks and I'm able to buy at or below invoice o on Ford's and GM's and still wanted the Titan. Ricart ran an add for a SE KC w/popular pkg splach gaurds and the most expensive floor mats ever 22900.00 I drove as fast as possible to the dealer and bought.this is one sweet ride. I must say with all the dealers I went to there salesmen didnt know squate about this truck or what you could get for it.
My Titan
Driving a Chevy silverado since 1997. Love the Chevy like a Rock. Then came along the Nissan Titan, weary at first new truck new problems. Kept reserching ,and asking others got nothing but great pro's with some con's. Had to test drive rode good, power no problem, can see all around no blind spots, put together right. Purchased, so lone Chevy there's a new truck in town called the TITAN!
