I Love This Truck!
In March 2003,I bought a Frontier; In November 2003 I went to a car show and encountered the Titan.Fell in love and the rest is history.March 1,2004 I bought my SE king cab. This truck is the best looking thing on the highway, not to mention the best preformance in a vehicle that I have ever encountered. It drives and rides better than most car I have driven. My only regret is that I had to wait until March until they were offered in my area!
initial impressions
when i opened the door of the titan, i was immediatly impressed by the two tone leather interior & the colors chosen to blend together. on examining the exterior, i was impressed with the spray on bedliner & the plastic rub strips in the floor of the bed. very practical & useful. a minor note that i saw, was the crush zones on the front frame extentions. these appear to be serviceable, & if they are, then will be very useful in collision repairs. other trucks either fail to offer this feature, or only offer the entire front frame section, still requiring removal of the entire cab assembly for proper access for welding.

Awesome truck by Nissan
This truck is awesome! I love everything about it! It is so big with lots of room.
Lots of Looks
Fun to drive,fantastic stereo,very comfortable,quiet.
BETTER THAN FORD AND CHEVY
IN THE LAST YEAR I HAVE HAD A FORD F350 SUPERCREW 6.0 4X4 AND A CHEVY 2500HD DURAMAX 4X4 AND THE TITAN RIDES BETTER AND HANDLES BETTER.THE BEST IS THE FUEL ECONOMY. GO DRIVE ONE AT VICTORY NISSAN 757 436 4900 TELL THEM TIM POSH SENT YOU FOR A INVOICE DEAL
Moved on to bigger better nissan!
I have never owned a truck and I swore I never would. All my life I always drove cars and that was that. I never even liked SUV's. However that wears thin and so did my 300zx turbo. Now im a proud owner of a NISSAN TITAN. Only thing im scared of is that the truck is almost running out of gas, see when I purchased it the dealer filled it up and also washed it. I now have had the truck for 2 whole days an already have 280miles on it. I cant stop driving it plus I want to break it in. Well 27 gallons here we come. =)
Best Truck I have ever owned!
The power in this truck is great. It takes off like no truck I have ever driven. The fit and finish have been excellent. It handles very sporty for a big truck. It is very comfortable and the ride is very good. Utility bed and VDC are only available on this truck. It is a great towing truck for a 1/2 ton.
beefy truck
Love this truck, bought a travel trailer so is wouldn't be lonely.
Overpriced
I like my truck.. but being tall... it isn't made for tall people.... I also think that its way overpriced compared to similar options and packages that the F-150 offers.
A truck your wife will love
I can barely get my wife out of the truck so I can drive it. The smooth shifting power and looks really sold me. Turning radius on narrow logging roads is a big plus, shorter than the competition. I can to a lowboy trailer with 4 tons of machine and no holding this beast back. With four burly loggers in the cab, comfort has not been a complaint. Kudos to nissan for making a real truck that's gonna kick some tail.
Right On!
Started shopping of a truck last Sept. Drove Ford, Chevy, GMC, and Dodge before getting in a Nissan. Once I did, I was hooked. Excellent power, features, and comfort (especially the heated seats). Nissan did their homework and it shows, right down to the driver side cargo box, so I don't have straps behind the seats... eventhough they would fit.
ENOUGH OF THE RAM 1500
Too many Ram 1500's and 04 F-150's on the road today. Very obvious that many people only took looks into consideration. Yes, the 1500 looks great with it's big rims and muscular build. However, the interior components are cheaper than a Tonka toy. The new F-150, looks like a big box on wheels. The tailgate looks ridiculous. Enough bashing, I spent much time researching all of full size trucks on the market. Hands down, the Titan had it all. Power, looks, agility, and oh yes, that plush interior. Believe it when you read that this truck has people turning their heads, left and right. If they only knew how it drove..
Great Truck
I traded in an F250 Super Duty crew cab with four wheel drive. I haven't regretted it yet. This is a great truck. Solid, tight, a performer and great looking. The front bucket seats are exceptionally comfortable and the ride very quiet. Performance is a plus. Good gas mileage is lacking, although I believe I'm getting better than others have reported. I do a lot of highway driving and have seen 20.3 mpg and as good as 18.4 mpg, combined. I'm averaging about 17. Not bad when you compare it to the 12 mpg I was getting in my Ford. Although I've only had my Titan for a month, overall, I'm very happy with the purchase. I think I'll keep her.
It's a Blast
I don't really like American brand. I also have the Toyota (Seqouia)which I also like it but when I went to see the Tundra, it was too simple to me compared to the Titan. (Features wised) and eventhough the Titan has a much bigger engined, fuel consuption, both will about the same. Even my wife that really againts on having a truck like this one also.
The Best Beast
This truck is a beast! Wow, the power and handling put the Big 3 to shame. The 5-speed tranny shifts so smoothly I forget I'm in a truck. My only complaints: bucket seats are not very supportive and lack good side bolsters, cheap interior plastic scratches very easily, no tire options yet available for the BFG Rugged Trails. Overall, the best truck value....
overall experience thus far
bought my titan kc 4x4 this past december. although this is a new product for nissan, they have done their homework. this is one awsome vehicle. the power is incredable. when you step on the gas pedal, its acceleratration is unlike any truck ive ever driven,or any regular passenger car for that matter. although it has less than 800 miles on it,i think this truck has something to say to the big 3.i'm sure there will be some issues being its first year for this truck, but nissan has been building trucks a long, long time.
i love that truk its the best
im honda buyer but when i drove the titan its like you driving a dream its like no other its just great truck
Best Truck out there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ford f-150 lowest safety rating. Check out this titan. It is the best vehicle i have ever driven. The sellsman at lake manawa nissan are superb.
Very Happy Titan Owner
I dont need to say more than this is what a pickup is all about...
Coops Choice
I have waited on this truck for over a year and this truck is everything I hoped it would be. I have only driven a little over 300 miles so far, and it handles great. Acceleration is smooth and very powerful. Heads turn when this truck rolls. Not kidding. Gas mileage is hitting around town at about 15, but expect to get a little better as it gets a few more miles on it. The crew cab has lots of leg room in front and back seat with comfortable seating. The back seats actually have enough recline angle to be comforable. The only problem I forsee is keeping my wife in her Max and out of my truck. I am very satisfied.
Loud Exhaust is unwanted
I love everything about the truck except the fuel millage and the loud exhaust which is quite annoying
so far, SOOO good
Bought this truck a little more than a month ago and I love it. It is a pleasure to own and drive. I hope that it's long term reliability. Was torn between this and F-150, and found that the mechanical refinement of this vehicle outweighs the interior refinement of the Ford. So far, SOOO good.
100% Worth it.
When I wanted this truck my wifes first words were "It's ugly." but after driving it she never looked back. We were like the 2nd owners of a TITAN in the state and I have put it through it's paces. Awesome power and torque in a "You were right babe, it grows on you" style that was unique to the truck market. I have no complaints at all. It will haul almost anything and pulls almost like a diesel. When you need passing power there are plenty of horses in the corral just asking to be let out. Nowadays manufacturers lean towards a carlike ride.Want a car buy one. As soon as this ones paid for my wifes getting it and I'm Getting the 4wd crew cab.You can bet it ain't just for looks either.
Review of the Titan
I was all set on a Lexus car and saw the Titan on the road. I had to go check it out and quickly changed my mind to buy a truck. I have never owned a truck before, but this rides far different than any truck I have ever driven in. Overall a great vehicle.
le crew
this vehicle does great and it handles delivers, solid look and ride. can keep all tires pined to the road at full trottel. rear gate is heavy not cheap alot of room in cab.like the idear of swing back tool box to rear gate.alot of safty
Titan , name kinda says it all .........
Solid truck .......as well if not better built than Ford! If the reliability runs like most Nissans ...the 'Big Three' are in "Big Trouble!" Don't take my word for it......drive one and then be sure to drive a Ford, Chevy or Dodge asap.........and BE HONEST......no comparison!
Blows Everything Else Out of the Water
I drove the F150, and the Silverado...Dealers would not budge on the price. I was willing to buy the F150 for 22K...The dealer offered 22.5k...Went, fell in love with and bought the Titan for 22.3k. 6 cd changer...nice stereo system...tint...pedal adjustment..cruise, outstanding compartments(6,7??). Vamity mirrors, sun visor extensions..ETC..I may have gotten extremely lucky with my deal, BUT I would have paid 2k more to get into this vehicle. Rides and looks like an SUV. Buy it. You will not be sorry. emial me at avalderas@austin.rr.com if u think i'm kidding. Serious truck. I love it....
EXCELLENT TRUCK
LOTS OF POWER,EVERYONE STOPS TO LOOK AT IT
Nissan Titan Best Built Truck in America
Despite the seatbelt recall, everything else on the Truck is superb. Original brakes lasted over 80K. Will surpass 100 miles by Dec 2009. Now that it is broken in, I can't wait for the next 200,000 miles. This truck is my quad. The vehicle is in excellent condition. Love my truck.
Safety
When I purchased my Titan I had researched and test drove all the available 1/2 crew cabs. My wife and I felt the Titan offered the most truck for the money. The only thing I couldn't find much on was safety. Unfortunately I tested this myself in a snowstorm. My wife and two young children were driving in the middle of NOWHERE when we hit a blizzard. Long story short, we went into the ditch and rolled one time. The entire family was unharmed (not even a scracth). I was able to climb out of the ditch and drive 100 miles to the closest town. I was amazed at how well the truck held up. The only damage was minor cosmetic. I'm very impressed.
2004 Nissan Titan LE Crew Cab
Fantastic truck. Tons of interior room with an innovative bed design. Excellent acceleration and handling. I much prefer it to the F-150s I drove.
2004 Nissan Titan
I was a die hard ford guy until I drove the nissan. The new ford that I drove just didn't seem to have the power. The nissan when you kick it down has quite a bit of force. It will set you right back in the seat.
LOVIN' EVERY MINUTE OF IT
BEEN SHOPPING FOR A BETTER PART OF 2 TO 3 YEARS ON AND OFF. TEST DROVE ALL THE FULL SIZE TRUCKS ON THE MARKET. GREW UP ON FORD AND ALMOST BOUGHT THE NEW F150 BUT BACKED OUT. AFTER TEST DRIVING THE TITAN 3 TIMES I WAS CONVINCED THAT NISSAN PULLED IT OFF. I GOT THE LE KING CAB AND AM LOVING IT. PLAN ON HAVING TRUCK FOR 10 YEARS AND IM SURE IT WILL EASILY LAST WELL BEYOND THAT. 2 WORDS FOR EVERYONE "THINK TITAN." NOW GO FORTH AND BUY ONE.
The Bar Has Been Raised!
This could "hands-down" be one of the best full-size trucks ever conceived! I test drove all the major contenders and the only one that even came close to touching the Titan was the Ram. The handling is second to none and the power is beyond impressive. Also, having the ablility to buy a vehicle and not have to worry about upgrading the engine or the tires made me feel even more comfortable about my purchase. Nissan has defined the new standard of what truck building should be!
the best car EVER!!!
This car is the best. Anyone who wants a 4x4, stylish, comfertable, lovely car that is the BEST car in the world but the nissan titan!
I used to love my Ram
I had a 2002 Dodge crew cab, I stopped by just to look at a new truck design, all it took was a short trip, goodbye Dodge, even though the move cost me 1000's in deprication. This is the most fun truck I ever driven. It should come with a radar detector though as the quick accelleration could easily get you in serious trouble. Odd thing is my Dodge was made in Mexico, my Nissan is made in Miss. and the quality difference shows. Be ready to pay full sticker, there are no deals on these.
Great Truck, Except for the Brakes
Bought this last year for a work truck, wife liked it so much she started driving it and didn't give it up. It rides great, very comfortable and has plenty of power. The Rockford Fosgate sounds good, volume adjusts with speed, (dont know if the 30000 mile review guy knows this) The only problem has been the brakes. I have had it in once, at 6000 miles, but they are starting to go again. If Nissan can't figure it out I will switch to Brembos. The gas mileage could be better, I have a 65 mile round trip commute and 16 mpg doesn't cut it. (this is why I am driving the wife's car)A friend of mine has one as well, he switched to syn. oil and diff. exhaust and got 20 mpg, but it should be better
WOW What a truck
This truck is fun. It's like driving a sports car with a bed. Performance is unreal and the factory standard features on the LE pkge are perfect. Rockford-fosgate 350 Watt audio is unreal. I get looks everwhere I go.
Purrs Like a Lion
My Nissan Titan purrs like a lion. Living in the mountains, and commuting to work, I need to feel that my daughter and I are safe and that I am driving a reliable vehicle. My Nissan is everything that I was looking for and more. It is attractive, comfortable, dependable, and safe in most weather conditiond. I am not unhappy with the gas consumption, either. I would recommend this truck to anyone who enjoys driving a powerful vehicle with style!
Watch out big 3
I was looking for a tow vehicle and did not want one of the big 3's trucks. The Titan has great power and acceleration with the best options for the money. Who needs a Hemi when you have the torque monster Nissan 5.6L. I average 15 mpg city driving. It drives great and shifts smooth. Only complaint is the placement of the door and window controls on the drivers door, they seem to get wet easy.
By by ford
Overall this truck is impressive. Very good off road. We use this truck in the oil & gas field and it is standing up better than any other truck i have used ( ford , dodge, gmc , chev ). The overall handling and power towing is great.
New Nissan Titan
I purchased my Titan after driving small trucks for 15 years and it was a big change, Overall the truck seems perfect for what I do Boating,Fishing,Beach,Lake and Camping.I can hardly wait for the break in period to be over ( 500 miles ) to start towing my boat
Titan King Cab, 4X4, Galaxy, LE
I am extemely pleased with my Titan. I have been pleasantly suprised by the layout and finish of the interior. The engine power is smoothly transferred through the drive train to the wheels. The ride of the vehicle is really comfortable, while being firm enough to handle off-road riding. Being a former Ford, F150, Lightning (2000) owner, I do believe that Ford, as well as GM have a real full-size, competitor, in the Titan, for their dominance of US pickup sales. With Nissan's planned, addition of options and other improvements on the 2004 model, for later roll out, the competition is here.
TITAN RULES
After much research, I traded my 2000 Ford F-150 4x4, extended cab for the Titan. This truck rocks! From bumper to bumper and inside out, Nissan has hit a home run with this vehicle.
Titan LE Crew
Less than 1000 miles, but like it better than F-150 that I test drove.
Great Trcuk
Best truck I have ever driven. Fun, powerful, responsive and comforable. It is a great pleaseure vehicle and a great work truck all in one. It is fun to drive and a pleaseure to ride in. Very well thought out in design and features. Wonderful truck!!
titan
Its only been a week but so far so good. Very good power, handling, and braking make this the most rewarding driving truck i have owned. Love the quality feel and the rumble of the exhaust. Rockford stereo is extremely punchy and has pretty accurate sound. Love the 5 speed auto, its very smooth and overdrive is amazing turning 1500rpm at 65mph. Satisfied customer so far.
Bought it for RV use
I love the truck. Lots of power to pull a good size trailer in the half ton class. I have also used it with a 8' slide-in camper that is over weight. It handles it well but needs overloads and a stonger frame to reduce flex. Performance problem is surging under decleration at around 3000 rpm loaded or unloaded, Cruise or manual. Overall mpg is 13 with a max of 17. Would like better of course. Sometimes the seat & mirror memory system act peculiar but shut down and start over and it comes up OK. When I lost my lug nut key, the dealerships (3) wouldn't remove or let me remove the locks from my other wheels without a charge even tho I paid for and ordered a replacement key. Bad policy.
titan is tough
smooth performance, deceiving quick, very quiet inside, Handles like a much smaller vehicle, smooth exhaust note. Tows a trailer (5000lbs/with load)very easily.
