We like the Pathfinder; brakes are terrible
Our pathfinder does everything we need-its a nice ride. The brakes are terrible. Started shuddering at 12k miles like the rotors were warped; dealer said brakes were fine when we brought it in. Had it looked at again at 28k before warranty was up - still shuddering- and now dealer says it needs news rotors and pads all around, too warped to resurface. Wear items so no warranty; $1k for them to fix (oh, and parts on national backorder). I was told their hands were tied, call corporate. So I called Nissan corporate and was told their hands were tied, call the dealer. If you google 2022/2023 Pathfinder brakes this is a VERY common issue. I get that brakes are a wear item, but this whole issue has really soured my on Nissan. It's a shame because otherwise we really like our SUV.

Comfortable and full of options...but...
We went with the SV and the Tech package, or whatever the upgrade was. We could have gone without the moon roof, but wanted tech, upgraded stereo and rims. The tech interface takes a little to get used to. the seats are pretty comfortable ... contrary to some reviews. the power is what it is. its the best priced and easiest brand SUV to negotiate the price lower, so that was the decision point. its not fuel efficient whatsover. i will say that the absolute worst premium feature is the Bose stereo. the prior 2016 bose system was 10x's more powerful and more clear sound. they either didnt put good speakers in, missed an amplifier, or just pulled a fast one for the upcharge. That alone is extremely disappointing. The vehicle feels extremely heavy. either too small and engine or just all around sluggish. UPDATE: Known Issues: Terrible power transfer - barely can accelerate on to a highway or into traffic. creates a safety issue unless you put it on sport mode over and over Rear brake issues - prepare to replace brake pads at 15k miles. Front Brake rotor issues, fixed and issue returned Seats are uncomfortable Technology is annoying at best Bose sound system is that of a 1990 Honda

Great multi purpose SUV!
After looking at the full market for 3 row SUVs the 2023 Nissan Pathfinder Roc Creek was the right choice to purchase. I bought the Rock Creek version and have not been disappointed by anything with this SUV. It handled amazingly in the snow and ice and I can't wait to take it camping this Spring and Summer. It has plenty of room and the road noise is very little considering the extra large tires that come with it. My kids love the space in the back. My only issue is that the passenger seat in the front cannot be adjusted to sit higher. For a shorter person to sit over there it makes them feel small if they can't sit up and enjoy the ride a little better. Overall, love this SUV and compared to the price of others I would recommend to everyone. Other SUVs in its class can cost up to 10k more for maybe 2-3 extra small features. In my opinion this just isn't worth it for the money. Especially when the Rock Creek comes standard with so many awesome features

Power Surge Issues
Overall I am happy with the vehicle. The ride is very quiet and smooth, good acceleration, very roomy and comfortable. The only issue is that there is a noticeable power surge when the alternator kicks in (per the service technician). When the interior lights are turned on they brighten and dim randomly as the alternator works and the fan motor increases and decreases speed randomly as well. Nissan service said it is a power surge when the alternator engages and they do not have a fix for it.

2023 Pathfinder Thumbs Down
After running up 2,700 miles on my 2023 Pathfinder Platinum, I think I am in a position to offer some user feedback. Gas mileage - overall 21-22mpg. Recorded a very good, manually calculated 27 mpg on a 400 mile trip. Noise suppression - better than average. Ergonomics - the electronic shifter is not intuitive. Thanks to Nissan for buttons instead of touch screen controls. Bose sound system - mediocre at best. Handling - good, but feels truck heavy. Engine - very smooth, Miles beyond the Turbo 4's in the Explorer, Highlander and Ascent. Transmission - very smooth and a big plus over the outgoing CVT in the model years prior to 2022. Reliability - no issues to date, but way too soon to pass judgment. Update 3/27/23 - vehicle started making noise on low speed left turns. Dealer diagnosed as left front strut plate failure. Good news - no cost to me to repair. Bad news - this is a part that simply should never fail at 3,700 miles. I now doubt the reliability and build quality of the redesigned Pathfinder. Strongly suspect that the strut assembly was designed for the standard Pathfinder with 18" wheels. My vehicle came equipped with 20" wheels. No doubt a heavier wheel for the strut suspension. Update 4/30/23 - in the last 3 weeks, the following electrical issues occurred: 1. Started car in the morning and drove off. Quickly found out that the AC would not work and the fan would not work either. Pulled off the road, restarted the vehicle and fortunately the AC and fan worked; 2. infotainment system rebooted all by itself while driving; and 3. the rear backup camera came on while I was sitting at a traffic light. It tuned off after about 1 minute. If I take it to the dealer, I can predict exactly what will happen - nothing because they will not be able to reproduce the issues. Leaves me wondering what is going to happen next. However, I can predict what will happen in the future - 1 more electrical issue and the car will be sold, and I will never own another Nissan product for life. Owned a 2004 Pathfinder. It was a great car. Update 6/5/23 - Pro Pilot failure. Activated Pro Pilot and here's what happened - 1. Collision waning indicator came on while driving in light traffic on highway, 2. Lane departure and lane correction failed to work, 3. received warning message : vehicle cabin temperature too high, and 4. could not turn off Pro Pilot. Exited highway, stopped in a safe location and restarted vehicle. Pro Pilot was then turned off. Vehicle is almost exactly 6 months old to the day. A new vehicle should operate correctly for at least 6 months without electrical issues. 07/06/23 - sold vehicle after 7 months. More electrical issues. Strongly dislike electronic slap shifter; don't risk taking it through a car wash. Rough, truck-like ride. A waste of money.

What a Great Vehicle and not over priced!.
We have been looking for a new vehicle for quite some time now. As everyone knows, there are very few available. The vehicles which are available, are being sold at sticker price plus, anywhere from 5,000 up to 17,000 dollars over sticker here on Long Island. We finally tried a Nissan dealership, and what a surprise. Not only did they have a great vehicle, 2023 Nissan Pathfinder, Platinum edition, but we didn't have to pay one penny extra and got a finance rate at less than 3 percent. Living with it now for a while, it is much more than expected, fast, comfortable and loaded with features, some of which were very unexpected at this price point, like the push button second row seat fold down release, amazing. And, our sales experience was also way beyond the norm. We picked out our new vehicle, took it for a test drive, worked out the deal, returned our leased vehicle at the same dealership, all without a single uncomfortable moment or hassle. And; we were driving home, in our new car, in less than two hours. Hats off to Nissan for a great experience, made buying a car fun again.

Think twice before you buy
This is my second Pathfinder. I loved the first one in 2015. No problems at all. I am 4 months into having the 2023 and it was towed from a parking lot because of ongoing engine issues, that resulted in engine failure and it shutting down completely in the entrance to a parking lot. Very disappointing to read about similar circumstances and Nissan not trying to fix the issue and still selling them like there’s nothing wrong. I have 15 year old that is learning to drive. Not a safe or reliable car for this. The two stars that I gave were for the windshield display which is a great feature.

Want to love it
The Good: I love the driving dynamics, and the 9 speed transmission has been smooth and the final overdrive gear returns excellent fuel economy at +80mph. I like the looks, especially from the Rock Creek Trim. Front seats are very roomy for taller drivers- I am 6’9” and wide. The Bad: I have had re occurring HVAC issues which appeared the day after I purchased my 2023 Rock Creek Pathfinder. It will only blow HOT air until the temperature is set to low temperature- then it only blows COLD air. Some sort of blender door issue they are thinking. Either way this is not confidence inspiring for a brand new vehicle since this is the second dealer visit for the same issue in the third week of ownership. The Verdict: Undecided if I will sell now, or keep it (assuming HVAC issue eventually gets fixed) knowing I have 17 months left to peruse lemon law claim. I just don’t like the fact my car dashboard has been taken apart twice (so far) and it’s not even a month old. Leaning towards just selling and trying with a different brand.

Solid vehicle - no need for all the bells and whistles. Transmission is great and needed upgrade. I am moving from an 2021 RDX tech package to this fun rugged rig. Loving every mile! Only negative for me is the aggressive start/stop system.

Loving the new Pathfinder
**3,000 Mile update: Everything is running great, highway extremely smooth. Took several trips for baseball and the ride comfort and storage has been great. Very happy with this purchase and I still think its the best looking 3 row midsize SUV on the market- yes over Hyundai and Kia as well- of course thats all preference at this point. Maintaining 21-25 mpg anywhere depending on in town or expressway. There is a lot of stop n go in town and that's where most driving is done so not conducive for peak mpg. Infotainment has been worked flawless so everything has been great and no regrets getting rid of the truck. The ride very much is better than a truck no doubt about it. So I recently got into a 2023 Pathfinder Platinum. Read reviews along with other SUV’s as I was getting out of my Ram pickup truck to attempt to get better gas mileage. My v8 hemi was sucking fuel for the amount I was driving. So out of all the SUV’s to my eyes the Pathfinder and Grand Cherokee were the best looking- I currently have a Grand Cherokee as well so I didn’t want another one so Pathfinder it was. Based on some Of these reviews I was a little hesitant but I am glad I went through with it. I have 1,000 miles on it and the Pathfinder rides incredibly smooth. Averaging as of now about 24 mpg which I assume will get a little better. Handles great in the rain. Space is great. With technology I see no drop off or difference compared to my other vehicles. Cruise control works just fine but I haven’t tried to pro pilot mainly because I just prefer regular cruise. The chestnut interior is fantastic and my back seats and storage area all have the all weather built into the backs which is great for baseball gear. All in all I’m very pleased with this vehicle and have no regrets in getting it. This is my 3rd Nissan over the years and my parents had 2 when I was in HS- I’ve always preferred the styling of Nissan over Honda and Toyota- we have never had issues with any of them so hopefully the streak continues.

HVAC Problem
The hvac system on Nissan pathfinder rock creek 2023 has issues. Heater will start blowing cold air after driving it for at least 30 minutes or more. Nissan dealership cannot fix it. I was told that everything is normal when dealership looked and tested it. Come on NISSAN get your lazy engineer to look at this issues. My first issues was fuel sensor, the day i bought it check engine light pop out. It took them 2 weeks to fix it. Second issues was strut upper mount grinding noise. Very unreliable. Now 3rd is the hvac. Beware buyers if you are looking at this pathfinder. Lesson learned.

Surprise Change by 23 Nissan Pathfinder
I owned a 2022 Pathfinder SL. The front passenger seat was fixed, not power and the height fell below any standard height in all makes. It was very uncomfortable. There have been many complaints on the internet about this issue. I turned in the 2022 and purchased a new 2023 Pathfinder SL. This vehicle comes with a full power front passenger seat and the problem is resolved. Thanks to Nissan for correcting that situation. I also find the ride in the 2023 much smoother and quieter than the 2022 Model. The Pathfinder is a great vehicle and offers many tech accessories with a focus on safety. Overall, excellent value and carries a look that is very appealing.

Bring a bag of ice
At 2000 miles the AC stopped working. Dealer says the system was empty and must not have been charged at the factory. Strut Mount bearing went at 2500 miles. AC stopped again at 5000 miles, had to find a leak and recharge again. Strut Mount bearing making noise again.... Hopefully the factory fix is a heavier bearing. Other than the odd click and pop and hot summer days with no AC... Nice buggy... Thank god for power windows and sun roof

Best car I've ever bought
Sounds like the 2022 Pathfinder had some issues, but if my experience is any indication, they've been worked out for 2023. The comfort level is great, technology is pretty great, Pro Pilot works in all but the most hairy driving situations, and it is spacious. I particularly love the set up they have for kids to climb in the back. The middle row seats have an electric motor than pushes the seat forward and leans it all the way forward at the push of a button, leaving enough space for even an adult to climb to the back. This means way less kids climbing over seats and ruining upholstery. This feature really is the killer app for this vehicle. The drive quality is not exciting, but what do you expect? It's a mid-sized SUV. The all wheel drive has performed well on the couple of snow days we've had it for so far and has done okay on the dirt/sand we've taken it on. However, an off roader this is not. It DOES pull our fully loaded trailer without a sweat, so that's another plus. For what it is designed to do: transport kids and groceries, while having the chops to make it through a snowy commute, the Pathfinder is a dream. You're not going to take it to track days or climb the slickrock in Moab, but, then again, that's not what it is for.

Beautiful Handsome Strong
I love this vehicle. Everything works like it’s supposed to and the vehicle is extremely beautiful. Before buying it I shopped Toyota Highlanders which only offer 4 cylinders now, Kia’s which look like they were decorated from the 99 cent store, Subarus which had poor style and 4 cylinder engines and other similar vehicles. The Pathfinder is just built better, stronger and it has the best features for the buck. I love the Heads up Display. I don’t have engine problems. I don’t listen to the stereo while I drive. I always listen to the engine and I love what I hear. The handling and braking are great. It’s not underpowered. It gets up and goes when I command it. The parking control system is very reliable and accurate. The seat controls are accurate with great memory of assigned positions. I owned a Highlander prior to this vehicle. It was rear ended and totaled but it saved my life. I wanted another Highlander until I test drove this vehicle and realized how truly uncomfortable I was in the Highlander because of a deformity in the seat design which caused me to sit on a rear end bump which was very uncomfortable. I highly recommend the Nissan Pathfinder. I have owned a Maxima for 8 years and I have never had any problems with it. I have owned Fords which fell apart on their own and Chevys which were sturdy but overpriced. Good luck with whatever choice you make. This is my story.

Love and hate relationship
Previously a Pathfinder owner and decided to upgrade to a newer model. Excited to drive it off the lot. Had for 3 weeks and noticed things that I assumed would come to pass due to features I wasn't previously used to. However, the truck tends to put itself in neutral after sitting idle too long (whether at a stop light or just in the parking lot). First of all the truck hesitates too much when trying to accelerate/ press the gas pedal. It tends to jerk when moving from idle position to acceleration. After having the truck for 3 weeks, had to take it back to dealership and explained that 3 different times that same day the truck would go to neutral automatically when sitting idle. The dealership ran diagnostic tests and stated that a new battery was needed. How would a new vehicle need a new battery when it was purchased with only 11 miles. I picked up my truck thinking everything would be fine. To my dismay I am still experiencing issues especially with the truck going into neutral if idle too long. The truck jerking or hesitating when trying to accelerate. Also noticed that when pressing the brake pedal it doesn't make a smooth transition in slowing down. As much as I want to love my vehicle, I feel it has given me more blues and I still don't have an answer for why it keeps going into neutral if idle too long. Dealership will be hearing from me again!!!
Not even two months old and it’s a lemon!
I’m so shocked that in 2023 a vehicle could be made so poorly! 3000 miles and the car changed to a lemon! Struts needed, shifts into neutral on it’s own while at stoplights or in stop and go traffic, rough idle, feels like the transmission is going to go out at any minute, engine seems like it struggles to pick up power when it’s really needed and two different drivers have commented on how sluggish it is when you step in the gas pedal smh. The little camera in the back just randomly popped out, the apple car play just stops working when it wants to. It drives like an old truck, moody and unpredictable. The leather seats has gotten discolored for some reason and the right side passenger seat has NEVER worked to recline or adjust from day one! For a car that was over 55k, I’m in tears because I can’t afford to keep it in a shop for weeks and pay for rentals! I’m a single mom, a nurse and Nissan should be ASHAMED to have put this on the market without making sure that it was safe and perfect. :( NEVER again will I buy a Nissan or anything they produce!
Dangerous issue with Pathfinder
New Nissan Pathfinder has serious issues that can get you seriously hurt. They are coming with a bad fuel pump that will have your car switch gears on its own. N to D from N to 1st. It will stall in the middle of the road with your family in the car. My wife was in an accident because of it. Nissan does not want to do anything about it because the Nissan dealership fixed it like we were told to do. With no option of another car and it being unsafe to drive we had to get it fixed. We were told to take it to the dealership and in doing so now they say there is nothing to investigate. One of the dealers said this has been an ongoing issue. That they have been replacing fuel pumps in the Pathfinders. With no option of another car and it being unsafe to drive we had to get it fixed. Bought 2
We bought 2 black SV Pathfinders. One for my wife and one for my son. Both are 15 months old. Back then it was tough to find inventory. We bought a three row as we have 3 grandchildren. We can get 3 seats in one row. So the whole family can go in the same car. Great power, 22 mph all around. Couldn't be happier. Plus 3 free oil changes. Both cars now have about 13,000 miles with no problems and no complaints. The electric motor that moves the seat to get into the back seat is a nice touch. Air and heat work great here you can use both in the same day. I am very please with my purchase especially wih something they need to advertise more this is not an All Wheel Drive Vehicle it is a true 4 Wheel Drive. Heads and shoulders better than All Wheel Drive. I have for myself a 2017 Titan 4 Wheel drive. A magnificent truck. 7 years old and it has never seen the dealer except for routine maintenance. 55,000 on original tires and brakes I was told I am probably good for 10,000 more. We will decide at 60,000 come winter and probably do both for winter. Last winter we had 12 inches of snow with no time to clean up. Drove that Titan right out of garage to road 100 feet away no problem.

Beautiful inside and out
I have a 2023 Platinum black exterior with the black package and a chestnut interior. The color combination is stunning. The car only has about 5000k on it but so far so good. I am amazed at all the advanced features and the connect services Nissan gives for 5 years with the app. It’s nice having roadside, towing ect all accessible via the app and covered with the warranty. Map navigation does as well as Waze and offers cues on the nice heads up display. I’m addicted to that display but turn it off in parking garages (easy to turn on and off). I really love driving this SUV and mostly use in city/suburban with occasional trips to Assateague (driving on sand) UPDATE: Car failed to start with no notice. Less than a year old. It didn’t start in winter either once. Now I’m running errands, in between a move and it failed to start. It’s been at Nissan Dealership since last time but this time is much worse as the computer seems to be very spotty and all sorts of indicator lights are on

Annoying tech
Carplay is extremely flaky. Wired or wireless does not matter - it is hit or miss. Every day i have to fiddle - disconnect- reconnect. Volume goes down and have to go into settings to adjust. Its a mess and very frustrating. Backup sensors and collision warning shows weird behavior. Backing up in my driveway on a slope sets it off and the car hard brakes.

Great SUV
Ive had this Pathfinder SL Premium for 3 weeks now. This is a great SUV. Zero issues. Bose radio is awesome. Vehicle is quiet on the highway. Plenty of power when needed. The Apple Car Play works perfect. The inside is very spacious and comfortable. I was also able to get 3k off MSRP!

So disappointed
I have 7300 miles on it, it rarttles! No one can find it, it does a weird thumping noise after it rains since day one I have had it in the shop 3 times they can’t find it, they didn’t tell me till after I paid cash for the car that the maintenance plan was an additional 3000. It now has a Break scrubbing noise so back to the shop. I have a feeling I’m going to trade it soon. Always had Nissans. Not anymore. I bought from Rusty Wallace in Knoxville Tennessee. They can’t find the problem ever.
Nice ride, great family hauler
Love the look of this suv. Looks like a sporty cross sport but lots of room for the kids and cargo. Ride is quiet and smooth. Great value compared to explorer.

Wish I could take it back
I owned Nissans 20 + years ago, at the time they were great cars. My current luxury lease had expired and was not sure what I wanted. There was a very short term lease available on pathfinder platinum so I decided to get one. Wish I could return it . 1. The tech is horrible. Navigation is super slow, and takes forever just to start up. The digital dash was created by a 4 year old child who had watched to many fast and furious movies and the displays on the dash are pretty much worthless. The radar cruise control is sketchy, does not always seem to see the cars in front of me and is very jerky. 2. The auto start and stop is like a leaf blower under your butt running amuk. HORRIBLE 3. The "P" brake button does not work properly. EVERY TIME you put the vehicle in park and take your foot of the brake the car rolls forward and back 18" very unsettling 4. UNDERPOWERED, this vehicle is the slowest vehicle I have every owned, Does NOT accelerate 5. The door lock mechanism by touching the handle does not work reliably and you are never really certain if the door is locked or unlocked. 6. ROAD NOISE IS HORRIFIC Bottom line THIS IS IN NO WAY LUXURY or even good tech. It's a 15k car parading around in a 50k sticker. I will probably sacrafice the money I spent and bail out of this lease early. It's just miserable to drive.

What a joke
Ok. It looks like a great truck. In fact, I bought it because of the obsidian green ext and caramel int. It is highly overpriced and even worse, Nissan won’t stand behind their well Known flaw of the faulty infotainment system. From the beginning, it reboots whenever it wants to. It shuts down like the car is stopped, then starts back up resulting in lost calls, gps stopped etc. When I brought it to the dealership, they said the radio needs to be replaced and Nissan won’t provide A replacement without video. I had Liz from corporate even suggest I “take a video while driving to see if I could capture it… if it’s safe…” When is it ever safe to record while driving ?? Unreal. Pass on this one The one positive feature on this truck is the gas mileage. On eco mode you can get about 26 mpg on the highway.

Love the new 2023 Pathfinder platinum
Love the new pathdinfer look and premium feel with the brown leather. It is very confortble, has heads up display, cooled seats -> all the gadets and safety features make me smile very time I drive it! The Pro pilot assit really makes longer joruneys less tiring, keep the car between the lines and keeps speed distance from cars in front.

Buzz man
Just bought a new 23 pathfinder platinum ,seen all these complaints,I think it’s comfortable,No issues yet,But we love it,
Excitement until the noises started...tick tick
Only 3,071 miles on my car and it's started making ticking noises and now there's another noise that has my new car sounding like it's 5-7 years old. grrr... I was a loyal Nissan owner, but nothing but problems with the last 2 new vehicles (also a 2019 Murano in 2019.)

New tires needed after 22k miles
This car is like the TEMU version of a luxury car. Looks beautiful on the inside but is totally crappy. My car is 14 months old, I drive mainly on local roads. 22k miles and I need 4 new tires. I reached out to Nissan, service man said unfortunately he has been seeing this a lot with 2023 Pathfinders and 2023 Rogues. Apparently, he said, Nissan is selling cars with bad tires on their cars and Nissan isn’t doing anything about it. Very disappointing. Had a Honda Pilot before this and 100% regret switching to Nissan. I had a 2022 Pathfinder for 2 months before switching to the 2023. Had many issues with the ‘22. The car was a complete lemon. The drivers seat would reverse and recline on its own while I was driving! It happened multiple times without buttons being pushed. Also, had issues with the side view mirrors shaking if I drove over 35 mph. One time while driving, the horn remained compressed and making noise without my hands on the horn. Cars were definitely confused when I was coming down the street with my car honking for 2 Mins straight until I pulled over. I ended up turning that car in, sales women convinced me that the 2023 was a better vehicle. I did not have those weird glitches in the 2023. My main issue is the nav system constantly rebooting or freezing mid trip. Overall, never again will I buy a Nissan!

Windshield needs to be recalled
I've had my 2023 Pathfinder for 4 weeks and the windshield has cracked twice. 2 weeks in a rock from a cement truck chipped the windshield & the crack spread in hours. Windshield had to be replaced. 1 week later, something hits the windshield driving on the interstate, another chip. This isn't normal 😕. This vehicle doesn't even have a 1,000 miles yet.

Happy with my Nissans
My 2023 pathfinder is my 7th Nissan and I’ve never had any mechanical issues with any of them. Love my pathfinder I don’t what the review is taking about when they say the seats aren’t comfortable they’re zero gravity seats which make a huge difference. I have them in my murano which by the way I’m looking to buy the 2025 version. All in all in my experience I’ve had nothing but a good experience with Nissan.

2023 Pathfinder Rock Creek rough rider
My wife really likes the look of this SUV, myself on the other hand ,I think the SL trim would be a lot smoother ride,The off road tires are really loud and the ride is harsh in my opinion, but she wanted it, otherwise no problems

Smooth riding
I liked the way it rode. It was nice looking but not luxurious. I had the SL premium package. There were some electrical glitches like the tail gate after opening would just suddenly close . Happened all the time. Sunroof leaked. All this before 10k miles. I traded it in for a Lexus.
