Used 2009 Mercury Grand Marquis Consumer Reviews
Fabulous
I have had my second Mercury Marquis, a 2008 for 6 years, bought in 2015 with no problems at all. My previous car was a 1998 Mercury Marquis bought in 2001. So I have had one for 21 years and maintenance has cost me pennies. Must have saved me a fortune versus exchanging vehicles every few years with all the associated headaches. Outstanding car in every way.
After a year of driving
This car has performed quite well. Performance: The car has a good amount of low end torque that will get this heavy car moving when you want it to. My only complaint here is the slight lack in higher RPM performance for when you pass during a high speed situation such as the freeway, it can take a bit to get it going a higher speed. Reliability: I have yet to have a major problem with it. I have done well in keeping it maintained and it has rewarded me with no major problems. I have even driven it across the country. The car is very comfortable with plenty of space for your passengers. The fuel economy is standard for any full size sedan. Just don't punch it everywhere.
Wonderful Car!
The 2008 Grand Marquis is a fantastic vehicle. I love the exterior design and chrome. It's classy and classic. This car is a great ride, and it's price is not bad. It is smooth on the road, and it is powerful enough for all driving situations. When looking for a full-size car, check out the Grand Marquis. It's worth it.
Great V8 American Full-Size Sedan
I have ridden in these Ford sedans for over for all my life. My grandparents have had two Town Cars and a Crown Vic. The Grand Marquis, on the same platform, is simply one of the most comofortable sedans out there. It's got room, V8 power, comfort and traditional style, which stands out on today's roads. I hope Ford keeps these sedans around and updates them. Their comfort is hard to beat and it's a throwback to an earlier era, in which I wasn't even born, of big, luxurious sedans. No matter your age, young or old, the Grand Marquis offers great value and should be test driven!
Ice Blue Merc cruiser
Contrary to what the 'experts' reviews, we my wife and I, love our grand marquis ls. We have not found it to be ill sloppy handling it cruises nicely and has handled city streets, twisty mountain roads with ease. I've been through the Rocky mountains, getting up to 31 mpg, and Appalachian mountains. Traveled from Texas to Vermont, averaging 28 mpg. Handles long straightaways twisty curvy hilly mountain roads, like cruising in leather recliners. No complaints on power, fuel economy, or handling. Only problems had to replace the automatic a/c control head, over $1200, replace the windshield wiper motor, twice and turn signal wiper switch on steering wheel once $600 total
