Still Ticking and taking a licking
Boght this car from a lease return at 63K miles. I now have 316K on it and it still runs an looks great. Had the same issues with the check engine light, but it is fine now. Supension just starting to feel a little soft. Bit who cares, how many cars can get up to over 300K miles. Since I purchased it, I have spent $4K on repairs. That is only $ 350 per year. I want to buy another, but I am spoiled and dont believe Mercedes makes these care like this anymore. Maybe under the new mgmt will help.
Mercedes Quality
This is a surprisingly well built and well appointed "compact" Mercedes. If you can get over the shifting into gears which can throw you back, it has power to accelerate even above legal speeds. Corners and handles well with top end tires. You can tell the solid "bullet proof" Mercedes feel and quality all the way around. Roomy, quiet and easy to park. Has the look of the bigger Benz without the price tag or repair tag..

I'd buy another one!
This car has been a dream. We have been extremely lucky -- in the eight years that we've owned the car we've never had a problem. It is reliable, comfortable and a joy to drive.
Good used vehicle
I bought my C280 from a client of mine. It had 168,000 miles on it, and a blown head gasket. I paid $2,500 for it, and put another $2,500 in it repairing the head with new valves & springs, and a new ($700) main engine harness as it was cracked due to age & heat. The car had been very well cared for, and was always serviced at the dealer by the previous owner. I replaced the original cassette deck with a MBZ slip-in CD player, ($300), and replaced some of the wood panels on the console, ($260). I take it on vacation, and generally get 24-26 MPG at 70-75 MPH. I have put 13,000 miles on it since I acquired it. It's a good solid car. Best thing though, is that my wife absolutely loves it.
B plus Benz
This vehicle has been everything that I expected. The fit and finish are the best. The overal vehicle is a great value with the 6 cylinder engine peppy and economical. Handling is excellent and the overall ride and breaking are excellent. Interior and exterior craftsmanship are superb. The one reason that it is only a B plus is the transmission. Although, durable and reliable, the shift is not smooth. This is one to own, it still rides like a new one!!!!!!!
