2024 Navigator-Luxurious Fraud

Navigator Disappointment. , 08/02/2024
2024 Lincoln Navigator L Reserve 4dr SUV 4WD (3.5L 6cyl Turbo 10A)

I purchased a 2024 navigator that when driven at highway speeds had a vibrations. The car had 40 miles on. The dealer stated that the tires needed balanced. After balancing them several times, the dealer replace all four tires. The vehicle still had a vibration. After 4 attempts with two sets of new tires, the dealer recognized that this vehicle was a lemon and gave me Lincoln’s number for a buy back. Lincoln refused to buy the car back because replacing tires is not a repair (?). They had me take it back to the dealer so that a Lincoln Field Rep could trouble shoot it. After two weeks of being in the shop, they again stated that the fault was in the tires, even after they replaced the rims and tires. Their final analysis stated that the vibrations were within their acceptable range and that I should try a different brand of tires. They would not cover another change of tires under warranty and would not perform any additional work on the car. So, apparently driving a so-caller luxurious car at 60 to 80 MPH with a vibration that was felt by four different technicians is “normal” according to Lincoln. For $100,000 luxury car, I would consider this a fraud. The dealer also took other Navigators for a test ride and noted a similar vibration. Lincoln is hiding this and is assuming most people can not recognize it. Lincoln’s reputation is not what it used to be. Beware! They know about the vibration, but will do nothing about it.

I now have 14,000 plus mile on the Navigator. The only quality build issue experience is the sunroof rubber seal which kept catching on the window when it is opening, making a slapping sound. The issue was fixed during the scheduled service. A note about Black Label service. I found that having Lincoln dealership pick up my car from my home, leaving a loaner car while schedule maintenance is performed, is what luxury car ownership should be. The dealership is 13 miles from my home. The SUV was returned, washed and vacuumed. Black Label provides 4 years complimentary maintenance service. I find driving the SUV easy and comfortable. The excelleration is surprisingly quick and useful in passing situations. The turn radius was also surprising small for the cars' size. Parking the " L " version in smaller lot situations is made easier with the parking sensors and cameras on board, (especially the overhead view). I have not tried the " parking assist" feature. The " Blue Cruz" works well on the freeways, however, frequently alerts you to put your hands on the wheel. I believe the Bay Area driving has many changing challenges ( Hwy construction improvements) for Blue Cruz system. One year of ownership has confirmed that the Navigator is the right buying choice the reasons mentioned below. After researching several SUV’s, including Mercedes GLS 450 & BMW X7, I intended to buy the GLS 450. On the way to make that decision, I test drove the 2024 Lincoln Navigator. Once inside the SUV, you immediately notice how much more room there is in the cabin area. The driver's seat is the most comfortable seat I tested ( 30 way adjustable). The wood appointments gave the cabin a rich feel. I like that Lincoln kept buttons and nobs for controlling basic functions like climate control, music volume and seating comfort. The trend with many of the competitors is to use larger digital screens to control many if not all the functions in the cabin. I like the balance Lincoln has between the use of technology and physical controls. The driver area is well planned and laid out. The decision to give the Navigator paddle shifters seems out of character for the vehicle. I don’t regard this vehicle has a “sports” suv, especially for the size. Having said that, it’s rated at 5.3 seconds 0 -60 mph. The ride is a higher, larger presence on the road that is smooth and comfortable. I will say the Mercedes GLS 450 seemed smoother, the BMW X7 was more agile. The technology on board the Navigator made the driving experience easy and enjoyable. The second row captains chair with optional center consul made the area feel more like a lounge than a second row seating. 3rd row seating has plenty of room for adults to sit. For me, the decision came down to, larger, well appointed, comfortable cabin for me and my passengers.

Beautiful car/truck/limo! I test drove the Black Label L version which was huge and luxurious with all the bells and whistles. Most wonderful was the ease of putting seats down and moving in between the seats. Very spacious and easy to NAVIGATE! Love this vehicle, but hate the expense even though it comes with everything including the moon!

I really enjoy driving hands free to Florida from Michigan 4 times a year. You just don’t understand how comfortable this vehicle is to drive unless you drive it yourself on a long trip. Again the hands free really makes the last 6 of 21 hours easy to make it straight driving for 1300 miles. I just can’t believe it has front and back massage seats. I will buy another for sure after 4 years.
