Customer service lacking
I liked my 2017 (new) Soul but it had a bad smell which the service department could not remedy. They would just spray deodorizer on the car and soon it would stink again. They had theories...maybe a dead rat had got inside? But were too busy to remedy the problem and I got rid of the vehicle after only a few months. This was in Santa Rosa CA.
Excessive oil consumption
I've had my 2017 Kia Soul+ for five years now. I bought it used from a rental car agency with 30k, now it's got almost 95k. The engine uses about a quart of oil every 1000 miles. Kia says anything under one quart per 1000 miles is "normal." It's unacceptable, but at this point I'm inclined to watch the oil & drive this thing until it breaks. I'd never buy another Kia, the engines are nowhere near Honda or Toyota levels of build & quality.
150k no issues
Bought this car with 50k on it, now it has 150k and runs beautifully. No issues outside of regular maintenance its used as a courier vehicle. These little engines like there maintenance but will last forever. Love the soul
Love My Red Soul +
My Soul is so much fun to drive. It is so big inside but looks so small outside. My Dad is 6'2 and 300 pounds and he fits in the front and in back and is very comfortable. Great fit and finish everything perfect
Great little car.
Dealership unable to repair little things. Took to dealership 5 times for repairs, never did repaired. One time made an appointment, got there to find out THEY did not get the correct parts to make the needed repairs . Drove 34 miles one way and didn't get an apology.
