Mechanical Problems in less than 6 mos!
Do not buy this vehicle… Kia does not care about people… They care about money… I have purchased two Kia Fortes in the last four years and this is the second vehicle that has broken down in a matter of months! Despite purchasing the extended warranty and other assurances from the Kia finance manager, I am now unable to utilize these warranties because Kia insists on me leaving my car on the lot while they work through a service backlog that I’m told can take months. I was also told people are driving up from Florida due to the even longer back log there. During the diagnostic assessment, they do not offer a rental car or even a rental discount… nor do they offer a loaner car… They tell you to borrow a car from someone you know or Uber… For most of us that is not an option and we should not have to pay for Kia‘s incompetence. I was told by the service department manager that the backlog is due to multiple recalls as well as Kia not having sufficient staffing! Despite these problems being the fault of KIA, the inconvenience falls on the customer when they expect you to go weeks or months without your vehicle! That is ridiculous! I’ve called every department, every manager, and even contacted social media pages… everyone tries to pass the buck to a different department or a different person… I’ve now been not only ignored but blocked by Kia on social media for sounding the 🚨 alarm! Absolutely no one will help me and I’m stuck with high payments in a car that I cannot use for work ..my job entails driving children around in the summertime in Alabama and I do not currently have air conditioning which is a safety hazard when it rains because the windows fog up and I can’t see… I’ve told Kia all of this and absolutely no one has helped me in any way! This car is a 2024 model and it is 2025… It has less than 23,000 miles on it… Which leaves it still under the manufacturers warranty… Yet I am not being helped! Why? I will soon be seeking legal advice if Kia does not remedy this situation and fast.
Smooth, Fuel Efficient and Reliable
i've owned a 2024 Kia Forte LXS for a year now and have put 11K miles on it. the car is smooth and reliable. i usually get a combined 37-39 mpg and when i'm on the freeway going 65mph i can get low 50s mpg. i plan on putting at least 200K miles on this car.

Kia Forte GT - A Best Value
Looking to replace my 2017 Civic Sport, which my 17 year old took over, I was certain I’d just buy a new Civic. Unfortunately the new civic I test drove didn’t perform like my 2017, despite having the same drivetrain. It was also roughly 50% more expensive, so I began looking for a better value. I eventually test drove a 2024 Kia Forte GT and was impressed. It seemed to deliver a much better value. Time will tell if it still looks that way years from now. I’ve put nearly 12,000 miles on the Kia and really like the car so far. I have only a few things I’d change if I could: 1) The OEM tires are not something I’d purchase, detracting from the otherwise solid performance for a car in this class 2) I’d like to see a hybrid version for close to the same price —gas mileage is mildly disappointing, consistently delivering mid- to upper-20s mpg around town. Again, minor issues in a car I consider a five star value.
