Used 2006 Jeep Liberty Consumer Reviews
Rear windows and fabric seats.
I bought my Jeep in 2006 brand new. I love it, I don't have any complaints, very reliable SUV. I have 47000 miles on mine and I never have any mechanical problems, but the rear windows are a pain when they stop working, the fabric seats stain even with water, and the handle of the passenger side got broke and guess how much the dealer wanted to replace it $525.00, I decided to fix it myself with a real long screw. Inside is like a toy car very low quality but other than that very reliable SUV.
2006 Jeep Liberty Sport
I have had this vehicle for three months and am very satisfied. Good power and smooth operating engine and transmission. Excellent heater and a much better radio than I had expected. So far, a very good winter vehicle.

I wish I never purchased it!
The car has a gear/spinning noise between 25 and 35 mph. Dealer tried to fix, replaced rear axles, then returned car with same noise claiming Chrysler district manager told them the noise is normal. Chrysler customer service is refusing to tell me what the source of this noise is. It is very unpleasant during city driving. This is a 2 month old car and my other brand 4 year old SUV is a lot better car.
nothing
The fuel economy is poor in this Jeep; 17 miles to the gallon in the city.
Bad Window Blues
I wanted to buy an American made car for solidarity sake, but I'm starting to pay the price. Knock on wood, there hasn't been major drive train problems, but 3 of my 4 power windows have failed. Seems to be a common problem. The power window system has a serious design flaw, causing the window bracket to break and the window to fall down into the door. Im convinced this is no coincidence, more likely a poorly designed window assembly. At $500 a piece for the dealer to fix, this will be a costly design flaw for me!
