For you people wanting to buy a used 2011. I purchased a new 2011 that is now almost 12 years (built Oct 2010) with 170,000 km. Its never seen an oil change at the garages and only had recalls done and regular maintenance like brakes and lubricants and a change of thermostat and alternator in all those years. My trim level does not have the air suspension and with the base 4WD system. The transmission is the NAG1, 5 speed

More Problems Than Any Car I've Ever Owned

This is a beautiful and comfortable vehicle but after owning it for 4 years and about 35k miles I got tiered of taking it in for recalls and service. It would stall at high speed coming off the freeway, recall repair did not fix it but it was better. It only has 127k miles on it and I just had to replaced the water pump, radiator, numerous sensors and the rear driveshaft. The driveshaft alone on this is $2600 and very hard to find at any dealer. Now my mechanic says there may be a major problem with the 5.7 Hemi engine. Sold it ASAP back to a Jeep dealer.

I've had my GC for two years and 26K and absolutely love it. Have had no issues with it. I have a lot of vehicles in 45 years but this is my favorite. Can't wait to buy the new model in 2017 or so. I've had 2 BMW X5s and like the GC much better.

I had a 2004 jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo and no problems other than maintenance issues. When my frame cracked in 2011 i bought a new. I have been back and forth to dealer.I have replaced wipers so much in my life. I have had 2 replacement wiper sprayers on both sides; The split Hemi engine i can get 22 in the summer and 13-15 in the winter. key has been replaced twice. I have the digital temperature control and the motor has been replaced and reprogrammed. One day going down road lights came on the dash as told the system will reset itself. Ipod dock burnt up my ipod; down songs.

WORST VEHICLE EVER

My JGC was bought almost new (16K on mine) from a Jeep dealer. The JGC started getting the CHECK ENGINE light at 25,000. Most if not all JGC had a starting problem that cost almost $2000 to fix until Jeep issued the recall then I got my 2K back. When my JEEP hit 100,000 miles it needed almost $6000 worth of work done. This is why I say this is the WORST vehicle I have ever owned, will never buy a JGC again and I tell everyone who asks about my JGC that it's crap. This is not a long term truck. These things are not built tough, they just look like it. Don't be fooled by this brand the JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE IS A LEMON.
