New '06 Grand Cherokee

'06 model needs a tighter fit and finish on interior materials and the V6 model needs more horsepower. I have found a few rattles that are hard to stop on the inside. Ride is nice, stereo system sounds great, and leather seats are durable over period of time unlike leathers in other brands. My V6 model gets excellent MPG for an SUV (19 - 20 mixed driving and 22 - 24 highway driving). Overall, nice mid-sized SUV.

Better ride

This my 4th Jeep Grand Cherokee. I find the ride much smoother. The steering appears to be easier to handle. I think the back seat leg room should be widened by moving the back seats back so that a taller person has more leg room, especially if front seats are moved back. Glad to see the emergency brakes are now on drivers side instead of passenger side. Overall I am happier with this 2006 than my 2002 Jeep, hope I still feel this way by this time next year.

Well Worth it!

Recently leased the 5.7L Hemi with great hesitation - THE GAS! Come to think of it, the difference between this SUV and every other on is 2-4mile/g. As far as comparison, i drove the Xterra, RX350, and the XC90. Hands down this car has more power, smoother ride, quiet inside, lots of gadgets to play with, but hidden if you're not into it. With all the bad rep that American auto customer service has got, I've had a Liberty for 3 years, and they've taken care of me well.

This car is amazing. To get this much performance and features from this type of car, you'd have to spend almost twice as much. Mileage: better than the V8 in the previous model. We average about 13.5 mpg in city, about 18.5 on highway (with K&N filter). Towing capacity: We needed above 6,500 lbs - not a lot of choices - this one tops all. Interior space: like the old version. Good for kids, short trips with 4 adults. Look for a Durango, Commander, or the Suburban types if you need the seating capacity. Short wheelbase: this car handles car-like, not truck-like. There's a reason why Porsche, BMW, Mercedes, Volkswagen have almost identical dimensions, mpg (with V8's).

Lovin' My Overland Thus Far

I've had this Overland when it had 49 mi. and 3,000+ later, still lovin' it. I've had no problems with my Jeep. I've been getting 14+ mpg city/16+ mpg highway on my HEMI, better than my previous 04' Jeep G.C. with I6 engine. Simply an overall great luxury model, which is affordable to maintain.
