My 2005 Grand Cherokee

First of all, I am 24 and this is my first SUV. My Jeep rides very smooth. I chose the V6 model due to rising gas costs (I was used to the gas economy of a 2001 Honda Accord EX). So far, I am still in love with this SUV. Most of my driving is done on the HWY, so I'm not too upset at the fuel economy. I get around 21MPG on the HWY and in the city and it can dip to about 17MPG. The AC blows great in the summertime. The engine does sound good when revved. I have noticed a little sputtering from time to time.

I have had my Jeep 3 weeks now and I love it. It has a very solid feel to it so far. The performance w/ the Hemi is amazing. I am a little concerned about the mileage though since there seems to be a huge difference in city and highway driving. I am getting nearly 19mpg on the highway but only 11 in the city. All in all it was well worth it !

My fourth and best Grand Cherokee

I’m the second owner of this car at 152k miles still going strong. According to the original owner, only maintenance has been done with diligence in changing all the fluids before the recommended intervals. I use this for work, and I do almost 200 miles a day with mainly city driving and still average 23 mpg, which is a personal best with any Cherokee. I also have a four cylinder Kia Sorento which gets the same mileage but not as comfortable, but surely as reliable. I cannot attest to the reliability of the 4wd, but this rwd V6 is a great, smooth, sturdy vehicle and would definitely recommend this particular style to anyone considering a great used Jeep.

I bought my 2005 Jeep back in october of 2010 with only 31,000 miles on it. the previous owner had this vehicle LOADED and we got a great price for it. it has been nothing but PERFECT for us. the only thing it didn't come with was the tow package so we bought an aftermarket hitch receiver (Curt) and it looks wonderful and works amazing. we have not had a single problem with this vehicle. the ride is smooth which is something i didn't expect. the gas mileage is to be desired, but it's worth it for the ride and functionality of the 2005 JGC!

I have owned several jeeps over the years both Wranglers and Grand Cherokee. My GC has the 4.7 V8 motor, and I tow a 22 foot boat back and forth to the coast several times a year about 4 hours each way. I also pull a motorcyle trailer all over the southeast. My fuel mileage is just as good as the F250 Diesels. I average 13 to 14 miles per gallon. The jeep is strong and reliable even with 65,000 miles logged in.
