Bought it new in early 05, 200k on it now and still going strong. We bought it originally because the Pilot we had didn't have the room needed for two youth goalies, equipment, luggage, and items needed for long trips to tournaments. Was used to shuttle players from the hotel to the rink. After 10 yrs of that, my wife was more reluctant to drive it as it's bigger than she wanted to drive. I turned it into a work van. Being a contractor, while I love my Titan, it's very thirsty. With my aggressive driving style, 1200lbs of tools, towing a trailer on a weekly basis, it's still running great. Aside from brakes and tires, the only repair done was a leaking power steering hose. Otherwise, all pumps, alt, everything is original. Something has to go wrong after almost 16 yrs and 200k.... doesn't it? While the 0-60 has dropped to 7.8 sec, it still hits the 118mph limiter with no problem. Still problem free after 200k of hard driving, pulling a trailer almost weekly, and loaded with tools on a daily basis. As of 1/5/23, 215K and still going strong. 7/6/24, currently at 230K miles and still going strong.

Good looking, comfortable for six, fun to drive, it should have been a great van. We bought this van new in 2005 after our third child was born. Quick list of problems - vibration in steering (through multiple sets of tires and countless rebalancing), replaced starter, power steering pump, alternator. Rear motor mount went at about 50k miles ($800 covered by honda out of warranty). Both power doors have been repaired, and both are still flakey and frequently don't work. But really the biggest one is that the A/C has been replaced THREE times, at almost exactly one year intervals. First time cost me $1400, second time honda covered it, third time they split the cost. Just awful.

We bought our 2005 EX in the middle of 2005. We have had almost NO issues what so ever with the van. The only issue that we have had is the Factory tires. They are WORTHLESS. Three had to be replaced at only 8,000 miles and all four had to be replaced at 18,000 miles due to them wearing issues. They where taken care of by the Honda warranty and then lasted until 50,000 miles when i replaced them with Goodyear triple treads. No other issues with the van at all and we love it and will buy another one when this one at some point after this one dies.

Nothing but sliding doors and battery issues, despite multiple repairs at $1400 ea and replacement batteries. We just keep one slider door locked and use the other. We make sure to drive the car every day so the battery doesn't die. On several occasions, the "working" door will not close, especial on inclines. Other times the driver button will not activate the "working" door. One weekend, after visiting several dealers to replace this piece of junk, when turning onto the busy street, the "broken" door slide open, though it was locked. My 11 year old was screaming. This is my 2nd Odyssey. The first one (2004) slipped out of park while my young boys (8 & 6) were washing it. It rolled down the driveway and nearly took out my husband who was mowing the lawn below. Luckily, a tree stopped it before it went into a major roadway. No more Odysseys for us!
