Used 2019 Honda Insight Sedan Consumer Reviews
Insight on the Insight
We've had our Insight EX for 9 months now. Two retirees who commuted to work by bicycle for many years and now have this as our primary car. I just watched a Car Gurus review where the guy got 38 mpg in an Insight. No idea how he could do that badly unless he must have driven in the mountains with the air conditioner on in Sport mode. We have never recorded lower than 45 mpg in the winter with the heat on, winter blend gas, cold, etc. In the summer, we have always been over 50 mpg in mixed driving without using the Econ mode or brake degeneration paddles, simply driving in normal mode. I think our high has been a 57 mpg tank. Overall, a great car with terrific styling. Passenger's seat is too low, the Honda blind spot monitoring system is bogus and only the passenger side of the car compared to many others who have a true warning light when someone is in your blind spot on either side. Overall though, we really like it and will keep it for the duration if it stays reliable. 9/26/19 Not much new to report, average mixed driving in summer 57 mpg.

My 2019 Insight is a pain in my butt.
I loved my Insight until I took it on a long trip by the second day [in a 3 day trip] my bottom was so sore I went searching for a cushion. It was a looong trip. I now have 2 cushions and a dread of long trips. would love to get a different seat cuz I love how the car handles and mileage is great. I had a 2003 Honda Civic Hybrid for 11 years many long trips no problem.

Nice vehicle
Almost new. No shift lever, all electric. Charging engine makes more noise than a standard car and it runs most of the time. Not driven much yet.

Another great hybrid
After driving a 2013 Ford Fusion Hybrid for 5 years, we switched to the 2019 Honda Insight as Ford announced the discontinuing Fusion line. The Insight touring model is extremely comfortable to drive and we enjoy all of the new safety features on this car. Fuel economy is better than the Fusion. When driving around town and short highway trips, we average around the 50 MPG, while on trips, we have been averaging around 48 MPG at highway speeds. The Insight has a totally different drive system than CVT system found on other Hybrids. This is an electric motor drive plus a clutch system. It technicality impossible for me to explain, go the Honda site for full description.

Wonderful Car!
The Honda Insight is a great car! Over 45 miles-per-gallon, nice handling, comfy, and with an excellent stereo/speakers.
Don't lose a star for brightness...
I have driven mine over 100,000 miles and haven't had any problems. I love the sports mode for freeways and hills. Pretty much the only thing I don't like is how bright the headlight is at night as folks think I have my bright lights on when I don't.

Loving the Honda Insight
We’ve owned our 2019 Insight for 15 months. It’s a wonderful car. I love the safety features and cabin comfort. Gas mileage is excellent. Go for it!
Love this car!
We purchased our Insight in October 2018 and have been completely satisfied. The gas mileage is amazing! Even before gas prices crashed this spring we could easily fill the tank for under $20 and have it last up to 2 weeks. We put about 20K/year on our cars so this saves us a lot of money. It's comfortable inside, rides smoothly and looks great. Low maintenance. For all of that, the price point of this car is hard to beat. We couldn't be happier.
This Honda Insight Hybrid saved my husbands life.
My husband just bought this car a Month ago and someone hit him hard. When the airbags went off the car called 911 for him. This car not only saved his life it is absolutely Amazing feel. It rides quiet and smooth, it’s just fun to drive. It’s Great on gas and just one of the best cars Honda has ever made. We love this car so much we would get another one. This car has everything your asking for in a sedan style.
