2019 Honda Fit EX 4dr Hatchback (1.5L 4cyl 6M)
The car is packed with so much technology it kind of overshadows the flaws of the car. I’ve owned a 2019 Honda Fit for little over a year and while it had its highs, it came when some lows…. I had a 2017 Civic before I decided to get into something a little more economical. Interestingly enough the Fit ate up gas like it was starved, yes I’m aware of the smaller gas tank, but sheesh, … there should be no reason why I should be at half a tank by the middle of the week and I work 10 mins away, not to mention this car would burn through gas at a busy drive thru… Now this is where I start to get irritated. The car is so loud, even in the idle position. You want to get up a steep hill and it sounds like a lawn mower. (Definitely my fault for not pushing it during my test drive, did go to the dealership during rush hour)…Then one day I go to make a u-turn, foot lightly touching the gas and it shutters like it wanted to turn off. First time I shrugged it off, but by the third time I had it. Took it in and was told that everything is electrical down to the acceleration pedal, so the car needed time to respond… literally made no sense to me. It’s not like it’s one of those vehicles that shuts off to conserve gas. While it has amazing safety features, it just wasn’t for me and I went right back to a civic. This car is definitely for someone who’s a first time driver, college student, or maybe a retiree. Do your research before you purchase!

Which Fit does Edmunds recommend?
We recommend the EX trim for most buyers because it represents excellent value for the class. It comes with the larger 7-inch touchscreen interface, Honda's LaneWatch technology (essentially a blind-spot camera for the right side of the car), proximity entry with push-button start, and even a sunroof. At the EX level you're missing out on the EX-L's available navigation upgrade, but smartphone owners can connect with either Apple CarPlay or Android Auto to fill in that gap.

Driving
7.5The Fit isn't overly quick to accelerate, but it is nimble around turns and generally fun to drive. It's also stable at freeway speeds. Though by no means what we would call a "hot hatch," the Fit is responsive and an easy car to live with on a daily basis.
Comfort
7.5Considering the Fit's simple suspension design and short wheelbase, the ride quality is certainly decent. The seats are comfortable, and the cabin is decently quiet.
Interior
9.0Clever packaging and ease of use are hallmarks of the Fit. Thanks to the configurable rear seat, this is a truly versatile cabin. Cargo capacity is impressive, and legroom is generous all around. The only shortcoming is rear headroom.
Utility
10.0For such a small car, the Fit shines when it comes to moving cargo. The Magic Seats allow for a number of configurations, so the Fit can tackle all sorts of jobs.
Technology
For 2018, the Fit has been updated with driver aids and active safety features, as well as full smartphone integration with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
