Very satisfied owner
I use mine as a high mileage "bail- bond" runner with my advertising on all four sides. It's a design icon so it gets a LOT of notice. Incredibly versatile, tremendous value, good gas mileage, reasonably comfortable. If I get too tired to drive, I jump in the back and sleep a couple of hours and then I'm back to it. I've enjoyed it more than I thought I would. Stadium seating is cool.
Excellent!
Everything about this car thrills me, the styling, the handling, the interior space. I previously had a Saab 9-5 that completely fell apart before it reached 70,000 miles, starter, electronics display, rotor, turbo, head gasket. I had bought it to last. Never again. So much for German and American engineering.

Excellent Family Car
With two small kids and a dog, I needed a second car that could carry everyone if needed (and if our van was unavailable). The Element is great in this role. On weekdays it gets me to work and back, and on the weekends we can gather up our gear and the dog and go. Liquid spills and dog hair are all easily washed away. A fun car to drive. Honda build quality is evident everywhere.
honda element
I haven't had my element but for 3 weeks the more i drive it the more I like it...also since gas prices are so high it really makes a difference. Was a little worried that it wouldn't have enough power to pull the Ozark hills, but, I am very impressed...it is such a fun suv
I love my Element!
I love my Element! It has plenty of people and cargo room and it's easy to get in and out of. It handles great and is extremely easy to manuver, and you can't imagine how easy it is to clean! Just this summer, I hauled home two collapsible tables (one 4' and one 6'), 4 folding chairs, a 56qt. cooler on wheels, a 24pk cube of pop, several bags of groceries, and STILL had room to spare!!
Please; Sir May I have Another ???
My wife had got hers in march of 2004 it was a 2003 Dx 2wd hold over. I was driving my 2001 gas hog F150 14 mpg in town and 16 highway and it was just killing me in cost to keep it gased up so bye bye to that at $2.00+ per gallon so now after a few months with the ex i had only 1 prob with the cruise button that broke and her 03 dx had to have the drivers seat bracket replaced i was told this (the seat bracket)was a issue with the early models but thats it.
WOW
Best vehicle I have ever owned!
LOVE THE ATTENTION!!!
Now that I am in the Element, I get heads turning all of the time. Being a female, I love the attention!!! It's like a morale booster. Everyone says that it is Huge on the inside. I had been waiting for years to find that SUV that would catch my attention. I liked the Honda CRV and even the Sportage but nothing took my breath away like the Element did. When I first laid my eyes on that vehicle, I chased that man down just to see what was it. It was like love at first sight! Three weeks later I was driving in my new HONDA ELEMENT!!!
MOST VERSITILE
COMPARED TO OTHER VEHICLES IN ITS CLASS THE EXTERIOR DESIGN AND MAKER MADE ME CHOOSE THE HONDA ELEMENT.THIS IS THE FOURTH HONDA I'V OWNED,THE PREVIOUS THREE WERE GREAT CARS AND THE ELEMENT IS NO EXCEPTION.I LOVE THE VERSITILITY OF THE INTERIOR AND THE SMOOTH PICKUP OF THE ENGINE.THE DENT RESISTANT BUMPERS ALSO COMES IN HANDY.
Versatile, Functional, Futuristic
Awesome! My other car is a Mercedes SL500, and I find myself taking the Element more often than not. The Element is fun, well-built, and incredibly versatile. The interior is the greatest asset. It has rubberized surfaces for easy cleaning and long wear. The rear seats fold to make a bed, fold out of the way, or can be removed. This car can do snow, dirt, camping, hauling, delivery, daily driving, and it does it all well.
Awsome
My wife has a 2003 EX 4WD I loved it so much I bought one!!!! I got the 2wd for better mileage Love this car!!!! No problems with either one!
Great Work Car
I use my Element because I sell industrial maintenance products. It is the ideal salesman's car. But the gas mileage is terrible, very disappointing
THE BEST
What can I say but that it is the best car I've ever had. It has all the features I need for work and daily life . Last week I took out the back seats whent to Lowes loaded it upo with building materilals and was amazed at the room and not to metion the clean up was a damp rag!
a real sports/utility vehicle
This is the most useful a vehicle can be without being a work TRUCK. My biggest concern was road noise and a bumpy ride, and I'm glad to say that although its not Lexus quiet and smooth, its certainly quiet enough to make it our weekend and trip car.
You'll love it!
It's like you're gliding on air.
Love My Element
My Honda Element is only one month old, but I have bought enough new cars to know better than to base an opinion on emotions or new car smell. This vehicle is something special. It has achieved an awesome balance between vehicle types.
best of all my 400 owned vehilcles
good milage 25, 4x4, 4 wheel disc, 4whel abs etc---- great car/truck/van
i love it
i love my e. it handles like a dream in the snow, the first vehicle i've owned that does. the only regret that i have is that i didn't get a 2005
Rattle Box
Car started to rattle a day after driving it off the lot. The rattle was on the passenger side in the dashboard area. Took it to the dealer and while trying to fix it they broke the windshield. Put another one in and it was defective also and the rattle went from the passenger side to the driver side. Now, with the third windshield installed it has a completely different intermittent rattle in the dash area. Will try taking it to a different dealer.
element
great sound, power, and handling fun to take apart
Love this car!
I LOVE this car! It is the best car for my needs that I've ever owned. It's fun to drive and drives remarkably fast for the engine it has (I often commute over a 7000 foot pass and have gotten up to 94 mph on that climb. Great get- up-and-go). I'm a mountain bike racer and can fit 2 bikes in the back with all my gear. It has so much room for such a small car.
My Element
I'm glad that I bought this vehicle. I truly enjoy driving it whether on the interstate or in town. It's easy to handle and gives a very nice feeling of spaciousness while seated in any of one of the four seats. Honda built this vehicle for the young but it is my understanding that the average age of buyers is 44 years. I'm 65 years old; why should the kids have all the fun!
Honda Element Satisfaction Survey
We love our Honda Element. My husband is a PIG!! Someone finally made a car for him. You can wash out the inside in a minute. You can put big, awkward, bulky things in the car with ease. Taking messy yard waste to the dump is easy now that we can clean the car so easily. He thinkshis car is really COOL and I think it is WONDERFUL and really CUTE. The backdoor business is a pain, but because of it you can get things in and out easily. It is a trade off. We don't ferry klds anymore so we don't care about it that much.It would not be convenient for dropping off kids. WE LOVE IT!!!! Thank you Honda for saving my marriage!!! N. Weber
Great Vehicle/ Interior Scratches Easily
Our Element is wonderful. It's fun to drive, it's roomy and it gets a lot of compliments. Our 5 dogs love it! However, considering it is advertised as a rugged vehicle designed to carry all sorts of gear, the interior scratches way too easily - including the dashboard area that the dogs don't have access to.
I Love My Element
I have been extremely pleased with my Element. So far I have only about 2000 miles on it but I am extremely pleased. It is fun to drive and handles well for this type of vehicle. Of course, the Honda quality speaks for itself and so far I believe that the Element will live up to the Honda reputation. It gets one of two responses from those who see it. Either they think it is really cute and love it or they think it is totally ugly and don't like it. It definitely isn't for everyone but I kind of like that. I am interested in pleasing myself, not pleasing the trend. If this vehicle continues to please as it does now I would say that it is a home run!
4x 4gotten
Very comfortable for trips and the 4wheel drive works seemlessly. The neoprene seats were surprisingly cool .It is great to put your bicycle inside and upright! Quiet and very nimble. We love the rear tailgate arrangement for loading and packing.
dream come true
After owning an 2000 integra 1999 prelude this was my transitional vehicle from sport compact to SUV. I love it. I live an active lifestyle and it caters to my every need~! The attention I get when I'm at the ski resorts is like I'm driving a porsche, I get sooo much attention. the perfect car/ truck. excellent handling on the road and on the snow. GET ONE regardless of other people's opinions, they'll grow to love it too
Honda Element
I was surprised by the overall practicallity of this vehicle. Everything in the car has its place and purpose, from the numerous cup holders between the driver and passenger seats to the back seats being slightly higher than the front.
funky but gets the job done
The Element might look alittle weird but if your looking for a reliable 4wheel drive at a decent price, and like to take long drives, this is your best best!
Just what I needed!
I just bought my Element and love it, it is sollid inside and out. The interior space is great and the exterior is very unique. It handles well and 160 hp engine is up to the task. Element, where were you four years ago, when I bought my last car?
Great Value for the Buck
This Honda "Element" is exactly what the real world needs in my opinion. Not having to worry about all the expensive leather and other accessories being abused. The pactical usage of the "Element" as well as any other vehicle purchased for the purposes that most SUV's are used for, is well considered when Honda built this unit. Knowing it was designed and geared for the X-generation. Perhaps they also without realizing it, made a vehicle that serves the real needs of all generations. Having the need for a SUV in the first place means that you either have active young people, children or animals.
In My Element
Surprisingly peppy engine Unbelievable interior head/overall space Very comfortable, supportive seats Big, big back-seat leg space Easy access in to & out of Lots & lots of fun Very good camping vehicle Spectacular sound system
Element- great car
Well thought out design- very useful with kid and dog!
Fun and economical
This is a fun SUV -from the styling to the performance. We call it our baby Hummer and laugh because it gets more than 5 miles to the gallon. It's amazing the pep this SUV has with a 4 clylinder motor.
Happy choice
I was looking for a car that could haul a lot, from furniture to pets, that I wouldn't have to worry about getting dirty inside when, voila, Honda created the Element. I love its simple interior, pracitcal interior styling, with no-frills flooring and upholstery (able to be hosed off and wiped down). The versatility of the seating and space arrangement is everything I could have asked for. I do wish the seats were a bit more comfortable and that the gas mileage was a bit higher. An Element hybrid, now that would be something!
I Love my Honda Element
There's NOTHING like it on the road and people are constantly asking to check out the interior. Complete strangers will say they were initially turned off by the xterior but then love it so much, many state they'll be buying one as soon as they can find their way to a Honda dealer.
Honda Element
The Element is versatile and roomy, rear seats remove or fold to sides...great storage, especially overhead compartment, controls easy to read and automatic shift in comfortable position. The rear seating is roomy, although the back only seats four. The car is reliable and runs well with excellent steering and breaking. The fuel economy is good. I average 24-26 MPG. The Element handles well in ice and snow and has a killer stereo. I love the MP3 jack for my ipod. The side doors opened easily to load equipment.
Good car
This is a good car. Buy this car. Fast. Very Fast.
Elementary My Dear Honda
I have had my Honda well past the breaking in. As a matter of fact when I collided with a red light runner last year, I was lucky to have been driving my Element. My daughter and I were unhurt, and my Honda withstood the impact very well. The firefighters who rescued me were also impressed by the car-airbags deployed and all. I cannot say enough about this vehicle except to say that when my daughter leaves for college next year she will be driving the Element, and Momma is getting a new car, another Element. After all, when something fits and works so well, why change it? Thank you Honda engineers, you made the perfect multigenerational car. Now make a hybrid Element for me
the honda element
I have not had any problems and I hope it continues that way. The only thing that is not good is the gas milleage. I had an accord before the element and it got 300 miles to a tank of gas and the element only gets 230. I thought the element would get better milleage. The sticker said 22 miles a gallon around town and 24 for the freeway. Well, it gets about 17 miles around town and about 19-20 miles on the freeway. I thought it would be better because the dealer said as long as you don't have 4wd it will get around the same milleage as the accord. other than that it's a great car.
Military Buyers Beware!
This is a great SUV/Truck/Car, however, if you are in the military, and receive orders to go overseas, Honda does NOT work with you so that you can take your vehicle with you. It's too bad they can't work with the men and women who serve this country. Next time, I am buying a Ford!
Out in the elements ...
If you are NOT into conventional ideas of status and comfort, the element is fun to drive and the ultimate functional vehicle. We have two elements, and find each is virtually identical in function to a Chevrolet Trailblazer owned by a family member -- yet the two elements (purchase price as well as insurance and license) cost about as much total as the 2003 Trailblazer. The elements have no unecessary electronica and features -- just simple and cost effective transportation. Of course, as they are made by Honda, they don't ever seem to need repairs, either ...
Better than expected
I was looking for a utility vehicle with a bit of personality and the Element became my single focus. I wanted something with a manual transmission and the Element is one of the few SUVs to offer this. What surprised me wss the sporting performance that this vehicle has in terms of passing power and handling, especially for its size. Combined with 4wd, a very decent sound system and flexible configuration, this car is an outstanding value.
Our Cute Box
We specifically looked at Honda Elements because we haul around 2 big Lab. mix dogs who shed year 'round, pant a lot and have wet noses.... It's absolutely perfect for them to ride in the very back, they have windows and a skylight for air, and we can easily clean the floors and occasional back seat hair fest very easily. We are a little disappointed that the gas mileage isn't better, but we are happy with all else about the Element. It could be that we have gotten spoiled about the mileage since we bought a Honda Civic Hybrid at the same time! Thanks. Barb Clark-Elliott (BCE1028@aol.com)
Honda Element
Love the Honda Element its a great SUV with a great price tag.
Best bang for the buck!
I did my home work and compared apples for apples with others in this class.Well let me say that for money you really get the most with the Element!Family friendly and lots of space! The ex comes loaded and lots of safety features which is optional with other vehicles in this class! It's a great deal!
Who says they're for Gen X-ers only!?
I needed a car with better mileage that could still haul stuff if needed. Enter Element. Its engine is quite spry and handles the job more than adequately. It runs so quietly. At 80mph it's almost silent. The inside is sparse, but that's fine by me. No center console, I assume because the subwoofer would be blasting onto it if there was one. This makes for no place to store small items, especially CDs. Otherwise the interior is quite functional. One problem with the side doors: If you park in a lot with a car on either side and you have to access the back seats, it's quite difficult to open the front and back doors while standing between the two.
Great Car for Travel and Cargo
Have my Honda for one year. Happy with it so far. Great for travel and camping. Love the interior, build like a truck, lots of cargo space. Never worry about no place to sleep.
love my element
i've had "my element" for a year and plan on keeping it forever!!!great handling-shifting-comfort!!! able to transport large items (2 lawnmowers- dual burner bbq grill-bicycles-kayaks- and that's inside!)!!!everybody stares and questions ;but they all love the look!!!!i say "buy it and enjoy it!!!" i almost forgot, if you love music you'll love the stereo!!!
Geat Car
I wish I would of owned a Honda sooner. This is a great car/truck. Great looks, and its a Honda. What more do I need to say? Buy one, its worth the money.
