An Exciting Experience

2024 GMC Acadia Denali 4dr SUV AWD (2.5L 4cyl Turbo 8A)
Have purchased only SUVs in the past 35 years. The Acadia is not a totally new experience as it does have some similar desirable characteristics that led me to consider. Size, seating & 4 wheel-drive were important, but interior quality and comfort are also high and comparable to the Denali SUVs we enjoyed in two previous GM purchases. Fit and finish are high and the quiet ride in … traffic and on x-way is excellent. The electronics are current and give the vehicle the capability to deliver a lot of "hands-free-utility" allowing driver to focus on the road. I have leaned on navigation systems to help assist our travels for almost 25 years and the system in this vehicle is easy to use and with its large screen and data display instills a lot of confidence for the operator. Hope it will do so in large metro areas like Atlanta and Dallas where the roads seem to never be the same month to month. My only concern is the 2.4 liter engine, a real step-down from the 6.2 liter SUV. It seems satisfactory in the city and for cruising on x-ways, but in desperation mode, when a burst of speed is desired, it sounds like it is working very hard.
