Used 2010 Ford Fusion Consumer Reviews
Much nicer than I expected
I was totally surprised at how well the car handles and how quiet and comfortable it is during normal hi speed . The six speaker sound system with Sirius and Sync sounds great. The controls are perfectly placed (to me).The Michelin 50 series tires are great and the fuel lie-ometer is reasonably accurate. My first tank of fuel hand calculated at 27mpg. I was a little suspicious of the most important performance function (brakes) until the first time I did a hard stop. When you press on the brakes HARD it stops hard and fast. If you buy one, test it out with no one in back of you. An unexpected goodie with the Sync was the ability to use a 16gb thumb drive on the USB port.
I would definetly buy again
We had 2009 Fusion that was a good start, very comfortable and never had an issue. Very good gas mileage, 24 mpg most of the time city driving and almost always 34-35 mpg free way. My wife decided got upgrade though. The Sync system was the main reason, which she loves and I like the usb port to play my music. They also upgraded the suspension so handles even better. Again great gas mileage. Went Oregon last fall and averaged 36 mpg on I5. Filled up in Santa Rosa, CA before we left and made it to Klamath Falls, OR and still had quarter tank left. As for comfort, I am 6'3'' and is one the most comfortable rides I had. Many positions for seat, lumbar support and steering wheel is adjustable.
Best Car EVER! I am on my second one!
I bought a 2007 Fusion and LOVED it! I traded for the "new and improve" 2010 and I have had the BEST experience with it! The new features like SYNC, new 6 spd trans, versus the 4 spd, is a GREAT improvement! I love the aggressive design of the front end, and EVERY thing about this car! GO BUY ONE ~ you WONT be disappointed!
It's A classic American Sedan
It has a great engine and nice transmission. The stereo and moon roof are nice. it goes 0-60 in 6.6 and 0-112 (limited) in 20.3 Seconds :)
Pretty Car, unreliable & poorly built
Purchased new 2010 Fusion SEL in May 2009. Four cylinder provided adequate acceleration & excellent MPG. I was impressed by the quiet interior & smooth shifts. What a diff a year makes - now the engine sounds like a dying sewing machine and the tranny either revs to the red-line before a rubbery downshift OR it bangs out harsh clunky shifts). This is after the "transmission recall repair" The dealer claims this is normal for the car; however it certainly wasn't the norm at time of purchase. Additional problems have included faulty airbag sensors, faulty seat belt sensors, faulty starter, the list goes on. 6th new Ford in 13 yrs; sadly it's prob my last. Avoid this model.
