- Interior isn't quite as luxurious as it should be
- Sloping roofline compromises rear headroom

- Otherwise no significant changes for 2024
- Part of the first Corsair generation introduced for 2020
Overview
The 2024 Corsair is the most affordable vehicle in Lincoln's exclusively SUV lineup. It's related to the Ford Escape small SUV, but it distinguishes itself from its Ford roots with refined styling that invokes its pricier larger siblings, a richer interior featuring upmarket touches like a digital instrument cluster, and an options list that includes an adaptive suspension that helps smooth out the Corsair's ride quality. A turbocharged four-cylinder is standard, while the available plug-in hybrid offers an estimated 27 miles of electric range.

EPA Estimated Electric Range
The Corsair will automatically switch to gas when the electric battery is low.Electric cars typically experience 1-2% of range loss per year with slightly faster degradation over the first 50,000 miles as the car settles into its long term state, according to Recurrent's study of 15,000 EVs.

Am I Ready for a Plug-In Hybrid?
- EV ownership works best if you can charge at home (240V outlet) This typically means a 240V home installation, or other places your car is parked for several hours each day. Don't expect a regular household outlet (120V) to suffice.

Edmunds spotlight: Hands-free driving through BlueCruise
One other key upgrade over the Ford Escape is the availability of BlueCruise, which is Ford's and Lincoln's hands-free driving assist system. Using this system allows you to drive without your hands on the steering wheel on most divided U.S. highways, though certain driving conditions also have to be met. It's not a self-driving system by any stretch of the imagination, but it can help make driving a little easier and less fatiguing. Unfortunately, BlueCruise is only available on the most expensive versions of the Corsair, and it requires a subscription to keep its operation active after four years.
Competitors to consider
The compact luxury SUV class is a crowded house, ranging from the Corsair's crosstown rival, the Cadillac XT4, to competitors from around the globe. Edmunds' favorites include the top-rated Genesis GV70, luxurious Mercedes-Benz GLC, and big-on-value Acura RDX. The Corsair doesn't do a whole lot to stand out among this group, but it's worth a look if you're shopping for a plug-in hybrid or if a hands-free driving feature is something you're keen on having on your next SUV.
Which Corsair does Edmunds recommend?
Not only does Lincoln add standard equipment at each trim level, but the content of the major option packages changes as well. While the midlevel Reserve adds relatively little standard equipment, it's worth getting to further add the Collection II package, which includes the adaptive suspension. As much as we'd want BlueCruise, it's hard to justify the Collection III's five-figure upcharge to get it.

2024 Lincoln Corsair Grand Touring 4dr SUV AWD (2.5L 4cyl gas/electric plug-in hybrid EVT)
We have had our PHEV Corsair for 5 weeks. Ride is very nice, very smooth. While we are in town drivers only the first 800 plus miles of the car have given us over 160 miles per gallon. More technology than the average retired person needs but I do enjoy the intelligent cruise control. Alexa is great for horoscopes but thus far OK Lincoln is more proficient for asking for routes. … Just yesterday it took me down side streets to the doctor's office. In route on a frontage road I noticed the Interstate 8 I would have normally taken was backed up for miles due to a traffic incident. Apparently Lincoln navigation is utilizing real time traffic reporting better than Alexa. The remote starting is a nice feature in the desert climate of Arizona, as well as the cabin temperature preparation while plugged in at home. Nice to get into a 75 degree car when it is 108 degrees outside. I could go on and on about the features/functions of the car we enjoy. Additionally the after the sales service has been spectacular. So nice to be able to drop it off and have is washed inside and out while lounging in front of the TV.

This car is so quiet and the ride is really good for this size Suv. We have put 5000 miles on it and are averaging 43 mpg. We drove the escape and then the corsair, big difference in the ride, corsair much softer.
