Purchased my '10 FFH as its second owner in July of 2012. The previous owner from elsewhere in Wisconsin had put 68,000 miles '+' on the vehicle before trading it. My previous car, a 1995 Chrysler Concorde, performed admirably in the 14 years I had it, but I needed something more efficient for the 60 miles a day I commute to work round trip. The Fusion is now up to 90,000 '+' miles and has not needed more than Oil Changes and had its 90k service performed at the Ford Dealer I purchased it from in Southern WI. The balance on this car, especially in the winter, is the best I've ever driven. It also handles very well in the dry, very unlike the appliance-like Prius.
Great car. 158,000 miles and going strong.

I was one of the first to buy the Fusion Hybrid in October 2009. So far all it has needed was an oxygen sensor at 92k and a left front wheel bearing at 135k. I replaced the tires at 62k and the regular battery went at 5 years, typical. I just put the 2nd set of new tires on at 135k. I averaged 42 mpg while down in sunny Florida. For the past year I've been in upstate NY. Mileage has taken a drop. I think mostly because of the colder temps, motor runs more for heat. To address some of the other reviewers issues, who haven't owned their's as long. 1- mileage. If you live in the cold, don't expect great mileage. But also consider how bad a regular car would do in that same situation. 2- direction of travel makes a difference on a trip. I've been all over the country, and wind plays a big part in your mileage. 3 - if your an agressive driver, don't expect miracles from a hybrid. 4 - after sitting in the sun the mileage will be a lot lower than if I just came out of the cool garage. Must be the added use of ac. Overall, the cost of ownership has been very low. REPAIRS: Oxygen sensor at 92k, left front wheel bearing 130k and throttle body 135k. Overall, very reliable.

I had this car (2010 FFH) for almost 2 years now. The odometer now is at 199,842 Miles. Yes, I know.. I've driven this car a lot! and I just love it.. never had any "serious" problem with it, just the basics (oil, tires, filters, brakes). The only comment I can make, is about the mpg, now it's an average of 31-32 MPG, which is much lower than what was claimed (36-41). I've tried changing the spark plugs, tires, gasoline. still average of 31-32. However, I am a bit of aggressive driver, so I can understand why it won't go any close to 35. Other than that, the car has been an absolute delight, filled with options and features (I have the fully loaded one)

Onwed my 2010 FFH for 23 months now just over 67,000 miles. I drive 135 miles per day combination city and highway. Mileage is 41 -44 summer (over 70 degrees) winter never worse than 35. 2 minor issues that dealer took care of rear brake squeek at 20,000 and fan blower motor replacement at 30,000. Owned a 2008 Honda civic hybrid before this, no comparision to the refinement, seemless gas/electric operation and driving comfort of the Fusion hybrid. Would buy another in a minute.
Sold on hybrid tech thanks to Fusion

Loved my three years with the Fusion Hybrid. Great mileage the whole way through averaging about 5.4L/100kms. It's got great power for a car that you don't really expect it from - great on the highway for passing and a bit of fun in the corners too. Had fully loaded model and the tech you get for this price is absolutely unbeatable. This is the best value for a used car out there now if you can find one with all the goodies - The used car market has taken out most of the premium for the hybrid so you can pay nearly the same as any old Fusion and get great power, unmatched amenities, lots of fun, unreal mileage and still not pay much.

Bought the Fusion hybrid new in 2010. In four years have had two major issues, causing the car to render itself dead. The first time was in the middle of a multi-lane bridge with fast moving traffic, with a stop-immediately warning, leading to seconds of active time before car had to be pulled into shoulder. Towed, charged $500 or so. Two years later get another message "service power steering now" and the car again is unstartable. This time Ford service is quoting $1800 plus a diagnosis fee.

I have owned my Ford for one year now, driven it about 14,000 miles and love it. The fuel mileage is fun to watch (I live in NYC and commute to Northern NJ). When the temperature stays below about 40 Deg F I average about 35 MPG, between 40-75 Deg F about 40 MPG, and above 90 Deg F the mileage drops to about 36 MPG. I have the Sony sound system I don't know how I ever lived without the SYNC system. So far I have had no issues with the car.
9 Years Later, Car Still Great!

I have had this car for 9 years, 140K on the odometer. I have been impressed by its reliability, have had no major repairs to make. I average 35mph in Summer, 28 in Winter (I live in Boston, so having the heater on requires keeping the engine going). What I like: the fuel efficiency, the excellent GPS and climate control. Exterior paint quality has held up very well, still looks shiny after a wash. What I do not like: the cloth interior stains too easily. Initial acceleration is not as quick as a regular car. I park outside during Winter, so some rust is appearing on the rocker panels. However, all in all, I have been very impressed by the car and plan to keep it for a few more years. 2022 Update: car still runs well, up to 175K miles, but a couple of the jack points have rusted through, making it difficult to have the car services. Both rockers have significant rust. It's a shame, the car otherwise has been faithful and continues to give me 35 mpg.

I'm currently sitting at 125k miles on my 2010 Fusion Hybrid, all black and fully loaded. I couldn't be happier with a car, compared to my previous jalopy. I average 42 - 48mpg in Spring, Summer(depending on AC use) and Fall. In Winter, it's closer to 33 - 35mpg, depending on how cold it is. I've had zero trips to the dealer for repairs as nothing has failed in this vehicle. It's been scheduled maintenance all the way, combined with stellar MPG = very low cost. I bought this car one year used. Technology wise, it's held up very well to what new models have. I have the blind spot sensors, backup camera(using a large 8" screen), parking aid, cross traffic sensing, USB/Bluetooth/Aux/ect. I really can't complain about this car one bit. I believe I lucked out to be at this mileage with no issues. I write this review as I finally have performed all of my 100k maintenance a little late(things just don't wear out in this ride). My brake pads weren't even wore out at 100k miles. The high voltage battery appears to be very healthy as I haven't experienced any deterioration yet in MPG. Acceleration and driving a hybrid in general takes some training to maximize efficiency. It's sort of weird to not feel gear shifting, but you quickly adjust to it. It's rather zippy too for a hybrid. I'd love to trade up in 2017 for the next redesign, but I have a very difficult time of letting go of a good thing. Needless to say, I highly recommend this car. No, it doesn't get Prius MPG, but I prefer it's styling, tech and driving over the Prius any day. If you just want a dependable car, this is it.

No major problems. Avg. 38 mpg. 52 in town, 43mpg to airport, 33 in winter(gas engine must run to heat coolant for heater). Good looking vehicle. Comfortable seating and ride. Fun to drive. Doesn`t save you any money. $8000 premium(only $500 Federal rebate) for hybrid, means at $4/gal you must drive this car 80,000 miles to start to break even(2000 gal times 40 mpg.)Cons-The brakes squeak horribly. The dealer saids to live with it. Claims the brake pad material is at fault. The A/C is dodgy. Somedays the car doesn't cool sufficiently. There is no cargo net or gas cap. The front end is all plastic. Rolled into a protruding trailer hitch at 3 mph and did $1400 damage.
