Used 2016 Ford Focus Sedan Consumer Reviews
Not a bad compact car!
This has been a great car so far. It has approx 12k miles on it already. I have not had a single issue. I did upgrade it with a cold air intake that has increased my horsepower, and got me more mpg! Also the cold air intake by Roush gives it a nice sporty sound when accelerating. I have not had any issues with its transmission, this could be because I drive with a heavy foot. Overall I am happy with my Ford Focus SE equipped with the Sport appearance package.

Value for money
The Focus model S gives you a completely acceptable car at a great price. I've owned the car for about a year and a half. I have had zero problems with it. Since this is their low price version of the Focus, Ford looks extra hard for items to remove in order to differentiate it from the pricier Focus versions. Most of what they remove doesn't mater to me. The one thing I do miss is the driver side door rear window controls. I wish I could use those controls to open the rear windows in order to get a cross breeze while driving. Strangely enough I don't really need to automatic window control on my front drivers side window. Since I'm sitting there I could roll down that window manually. If Ford needed to save money by removing two door window motors, I'd have preferred they remove the front seat door window motors but kept the back seat ones.

Hard Pass
Took hold of the car in 2016. It’s a ‘16 SE with the sport package (low profile tires with sport rims) and the 6 speed DCT. Twice the DCT has had to be replaced and it still shutters on acceleration from a dead stop. The motor would be great if it weren’t for the transmission. It does handle pretty fun like a go-kart but between seat comfort and the suspension/tire setup (with or without sport pkg), it’s so harsh I feel like my insides get rearranged when I’m driving. Grip and handling are good in the summer, absolutely hell in the winter with little to no snow traction. I’ve almost been in several accidents from not catching grip. Interior would be nice if it had better rear leg room, if it wasn’t all hard plastic, and if small things didn’t add up. The headlight and fog light switch is right next to the trunk release, the rear visibility is none and I’m forced to rely on the backup camera. The speakers crackle and sync takes forever to hook up a new Bluetooth device. I’m blinded in the sun by the shiny dashboard, then blind by night with poor halogen lights. I’m not expecting luxury standards but the small things show the budget building costs. The car is great in theory but is overall uncomfortable, clunky, unreliable, and cheap. I can’t wait for my lease to be up where I’ll be moving into a Fusion Hybrid I know I love.

Crappy front end design!!!!
I own a 2016 Ford Foucs SE with the automatic/manual shift. The problem I have is that it wants to downshift on me when I slow down. Also, why would you design a car that only have 4 inches of clearance on the front end. When you pull up to a curb the front end hangs up. I have been back to Fort 4 times to have my Bumper put back in place....very poor design. Steve
