Used 2016 Ford Focus Sedan Consumer Reviews
Not worth the headache
I purchased a 2016 Ford Focus on 7/30/2020. And have been having issues with it since. It hasn't been 30 days. It jumps when going from first gear to second gear. Come to find out Ford had a repair recall on the shutter. And now i'm having issues with the clutch. And i'm seeing that Ford has been having a lot of complaints about clutch issues. Ford really need to recall all Ford Focus off the market. To many people are having issues with this make and model. Something has to be done.
You get what you pay for
Cons: Bought a 2016 Focus S Sedan less than 3 weeks ago. Within the first 400 miles of driving it the passenger side rear wheel cap fell off. This wasn't covered by the warranty. Luckily the parts are so cheaply made that it only costs $36 to replace, although this should not be occurring with a brand new vehicle. Vibrations are also noted in the front seat roof storage panel, possibly from a loose part. Being an S model, the panel is merely for show and has no direct access without taking the entire panel off. An unnecessary feature in my opinion. Acceleration is minimal at best and the rear seats offer little leg room if you are a taller driver. On the manual transmission model the pedals have a cramped feel; the clutch could be offset to the left by 3-4 inches. Pros: Basic model (S trim) still offers Ford Sync and a rear backup system with monitor. Instrument panel is well laid out. Spacious seating in the front if you don't mind compromising for rear seat leg room. Smooth shifting with a manual 5-speed transmission. Fuel efficient for both city and highway driving.

DO NOT BUY. DO YOUR RESEARCH
Dealerships shouldn't even be allowed to sell these cars. I got my used 2016 ford focus se and within 2 days it was in the shop. Tcm replacement and clutch. After doing research on these model cars I returned it and got me a jeep renegade.

Ford is CRAZY
So I had my car for almost 3 years brought it new, kept up with the maintenance and now my transmission is shot to hell🤦🏾♀️. I have called ford to get some answers but they were no help. It’s recalls on the transmission but only with vehicles with engine size 1.0, I’m over it. My car is not worth what I still owe on it. To top it off I have to pay 5500 for a new transmission. Ford done lost there mind, I’ll be talking with a lawyer in the morning. So let me know if y’all have the same problem or something close. Cause I’m not having it today.

4th Focus in 16 Years
I have driven nothing but Ford Focus for 16 years now, and the 2016 Titanium is by far the best. Excellent interior/instrument panel, fuel economy, ride, handling, the list goes on. I have read reports regarding issues with the transmissions on the Focus, but I have no complaints at all. The salesman at the dealer told me the car will adjust to my driving style, which I find is true. Yes, it's a little odd when I do not press on the accelerator firmly, but when I do, it performs just fine for my tastes. Love the car!
