Used 2016 Ford Focus Sedan Consumer Reviews
You get what you bargain for
5 months in and 3 trips to the shop later. Got a call today saying one of the clutches for the dual clutch automatic transmission needs to be replaced. Such a disappointment for car that is only 5 months old. The transmission jerks like crazy, shifts are hard and loud. Really disappointed because the engine in this baby is full of life and gas mileage is great! Traded in an 01 Nissan Maxima with no problems to be left stranded while my new car gets repaired. Next time do your research before you make a big purchase.

Problems, Problems Problems
1) Not a quiet ride, feels as if though the car is driving through mud, vibration coming from front end 2)Quality control is lacking (knee airbag replaced, steering rattles, squeaky clutch, fasteners missing, visor spring broke, passenger window would not roll up. 3) @Ford will not assist in helping dealer with repairs as these are normal characteristics of vehicle. 4) Research the transmission before buying this vehicle, if it is your first vehicle purchase please look elsewhere. There are some great 5-speeds out there you will be pleased with.

Focus Titanium
Traded a 2016 Mazda CX-5 Gran Touring in for the Focus. Mazda was a POS! Too many problems that dealer couldn't find anything wrong. Anyways...the Focus is a great little car. Rides smooth, quite and gets great gas mileage. I'm getting 33.9 MPG. I drive about 75 miles to and from work each day and I like the savings on gas. Now for the bad. Not much storage up front. The cubby hole in front of the shifter is useless. It's so small I can't use it. The console storage is also small. Both need to bigger. Inside the cup holders there are these rubber things to help hold cups in place. They are very troublesome because they hold your cup too tight and when I reach for my drink, I often pull the top off and spill it. But I will cut them out with a razor blade. No self dimming rear view mirror. Lately the car shutters when accelerating from a slow roll or stopping from a slow roll. Will take to Ford to see what the problem is. Overall I'm pleased with the car. It's just a car and gets me from point A to point B. That's all I need. UPDATE: 5/22/18...Discovered Ford knew the transmissions were bad they were putting in Focus. Took to Ford dealer, reprogrammed and ran great for a while. Now it's doing it again. The headliner now has spots on it like it's mold or mildew.

Disappointed
I bought this car in August 2016 and had to have the transmission taken out and repaired, heat sensor replaced and this week a new water pump put in. I bought this car new because I thought a new one would be dependable. I'm afraid to take any road trips. I'm a retired teacher and was looking forward to road trips. I guess I won't be doing any road trips, I can't afford to get a different car.
