Great engine and comfortable ride
I have had the car for not very long but I really enjoy it for the way it is. It drives smooth and as for the hatchback 4 doors; it's a great sporty. I find out that a compact Ford now can completely beat the Japanese models markets and so on. I'm renting it and as for highway rides, it drives really smooth with good performance, wonderful shifting with quiet sound. This 4 cylinder will not make me regret on driving and spending money daily on renting it. Go Ford.

Wow! Ford has really put together a winner here.
It feels like a larger car when sliding along the highway absorbing bumps and breaks in the road. The leather seats and wonderful environment make you feel very comfortable no matter what is happening outside...get the Titanium. The voice activated GPS is amazing. It take only a few minutes to learn how to go places efficiently and safely. I sometimes wish the engine had more torque like my GTI. But the gas mileage improvement is well worth it. Just relax and get there safe and comfortably. This car has maximum safety in mind. They thought of everything. The Ford engineers added every relevant safety feature to this package.

2016 Ford Focus se Sport package
First off I have owned nothing but fords my whole life 88 tempo 93 probe gt 2010 ford focus ses and now this car, I really like this car it took me 2 weeks to find a manual transmission because I guess the autos are a nightmare, it lacks some torque power way slower than my probe gt the probe had 164 horse power this one has 160 but my old probe gt would kill this car in a race overall this is a real nice fully loaded focus with every option you can get try to get stick shift though because I guess the autos are a unreliable and ford can not fix the problem, update on review...had to change the alternator and water pump, purge valve, car still drives pretty good.. the center screen has gone out a couple times but is working again now, I can't stress enough to stay away from the automatic dct transmission they are not repairable. And wear out quick with stop and go traffic , I guess putting the car in neutral will help out

Won’t fall for that again.
Do not buy the focus. They put an automatic clutch in and mine went out overall 7-8 times in a 2 year span. Amongst ALOT of other problems. Pretty car but terribly built. If I could give it half a star I would. FYI mine was a 2016....

Bought it for the Great Gas Mileage
I'd previously owned two 2003 Focus hatchbacks with automatic transmissions that my sons drove. I'd always been impressed with their quick acceleration and solid handling. After reading reviews on this generation, I purchased a well-equipped model, but with the manual transmission (so as to avoid the issues so many others had complained about with the DCT). It easily delivers 2 out of 3 things I wanted - terrific fuel economy (30 MPG after 1300 miles, though my shorter trips as the weather is becoming cold it's getting me around 27 MPG), and very nimble handling. Other bonuses: it's fun to drive, the German manual tranny & clutch are the smoothest I've ever had, it's quiet, the interior is nicely appointed. Contrary to what some say, the back seat leg room seems adequate for my 5'11" teenager. Also, the storage space is fine, especially with the rear seats folded. The third thing? I can get "zippy" (my wife's word) acceleration, but only if I rev high in 1st & 2nd gears. I also drive an '07 Mustang GT, so I think I'm just having to deal with the adjustment. The older 2.3L 4-speed AOD models I've driven seemed to move very quickly, but they probably also lingered in the lower gears. My major complaint: There is NO elbow room. When I'm by myself (which is why I bought this - I no longer needed the SUV I was driving before), all is good. When there's a passenger in the car, there's just not enough space. Yes, I have broad shoulders, so this may not be a problem for you. While I shift, it seems I'm always jostling the passenger unless they're planted as far right as possible in their seat. Leather seats are a little sticky. Every day, at first application, the brakes grab hard. I'd also have liked an auto-dimming mirror, but on the whole, I'm very happy with my new purchase. Update on 6/3/2018: I'm still very happy with this car. It drives like new (it should, it only has 11.5k miles on it). My only new complaint is I dropped the Performance of this car from 5 stars down to 4. Outside of winter, this car is still a blast to drive. But after two harsh WNY winters, I've found this car's limitations: the 17" rims and 50 series tires are pretty useless in snow (deep OR shallow) or ice. I realize I could alleviate the problems somewhat with snow tires & smaller rims. But I'm not sure it would handle really deep snow, regardless. On the plus side, after finally being 'broken in', I'm regularly getting 32+ MPG on my short commute to work, and when I do take longer rides on interstates, I'm easily getting 35-36 MPG.
