Used 2000 Ford Focus Consumer Reviews
Great small car
I owned a Ford Focus, purchased new. I just traded it for a new 2008 Focus. I only out 44000 miles on it, but I never had any out of warranty problems. Many recalls, and even one 1000.00 repair that was taken care of from a TSB report (coil springs). This car was very reliable and fun and easy to drive, great gas mileage. Always started, never broke down. The only repairs we had were recalls and the master cylinder went almost 2 weeks after we purchased, but it was under warranty. Liked it so much I bought the new one.
Great Car... If parts would stop failing
The car is great... i love the way it looks drives and handles. The fold down rear seats provide oodles of storage space when you need it... However, i too have been to the ford dealership a little to often for my tastes. Everything has been covered by the warranty but i bought a new car so i wouldn't have to worry about the problems. However, i know my service guy really well now.
I sure like mine !
I wanted to buy an economical car to do all the short trips to town in & to keep miles off my Grand Marquis. I never have been a big fan of any small car, but I was very impressed with the ride & handling of the Focus. My LX sedan was the hands down winner after I drove the Honda Civic, Dodge Neon & Toyota Corolla. My Focus is doing an excellent job doing what I 'hired' it to do. I recommend the Focus to anyone shopping for an economical car.
Ford Focus ZX3
You get a lot of bang for your buck out of this car. As fun (or more) to drive as some cars selling for twice this price. An incredible little car!
So far, so good
I have 31K miles on it so far, and there have been no major problems. A couple recalls, and a few very minor inconveniences have occurred. The brakes and windows are both a little squeaky. Also, once in a blue moon, my gas gauge decides not to work. I enjoy driving it. It handles very well, and has plenty of power to change lanes and merge in traffic. I get around 31 mpg. Overall a fun car to drive.
