FLEXable Performance!

This is one of the best cars we've ever owned. I love the drivers cockpit. Very comfortable and gives you a positive, commanding feel as you drive it. Has the basic PRNDL or the Sport Mode of shifting. Sport mode is a blast! This is a beautiful car that handles superbly. Very eye catching appearance. Great sound system with Sirius XM, CD and AM/FM. It has the voice control system. Very handy. Sync system for your mobile device. By a long shot....the most technically advanced vehicle I've ever owned.

wheel alignment

good car... first tires lasted 47000 miles. New tires at that time, had a four wheel alignment @ $79.95. One year later w/54444 miles we are told we need another rear wheel alignment...Is there a problem with the car (won't hold an alignment) or is someone looking for a free lunch? Having been an auto tech ( Ford and independent) for a number of years my experience has shown me there may be some cars with parts problems that would require the alignment be checked more often. Without this problem an alignment should hold longer than 7500 miles. Has anyone else had this same problem?

Should I buy a Ford again

Last year a trim piece flew off of my Ford Flex. Let me say that again. A trim piece flew off of my Ford Flex.(its a little plastic piece that goes from the body to the roof of the car by the window) I went to 32 Ford and they said it was the manufacture's fault so they would fix it for free. Then 5 days ago the same piece from the other side flew off. (WOW really pieces of cars just come flying off?) Since 32 ford closed down I went to Beechmont Ford and they charged me $269.29 to get it fixed. I'm confused. Should I ever buy another Ford, Should I ever go back to that dealership, or should I just go back to Toyota where car parts never flew off of my car before?

Glad it was a lease and not a used purchase

The flex is very practical for a family of five with three of them little boys. It is a good alternative to a van. They had to replace the motherboard in the front computer panel the first 6 months I had it. The entire dash would black out in the middle of the interstate (scary!). We also had to have the back two windows replaced because the engineering of the back lift gate puts too much pressure on the windows resulting in pressure cracks. Now, the back up camera has stopped work and it the screen says "go to dealer for repair". Everything was covered under the warranty, which was a blessing because these issues would add up to pretty significant costs if out of pocket. The heater/air is wonderful. Ford's Sync system is one of the best out there IMO. The acceleration is terrible. You have to really watch before you pull out into traffic or onto the interstate on ramp as there is not initial power to get you going quickly. We believe that the Flex should have a larger engine to accommodate the size and weight of the vehicle. The captain chairs in the back with easy access to the third row was very convenient with pretty good storage space using all three rows.

Love this car

Though I occasionally take some heat for my Flex’s style, I still love it. Fully loaded Limited edition. Powerful eco boost engine and incredible ride. This is my second flex and I couldn’t be happier. I’ve taken it on several multi thousand mile road trips and it cruises like a dream. I just wish it had the newer SYNC 3 as the 2015 version can be a pia. I still for the life of me can’t understand why Ford promotes this car 0%. It’s never on a commercial, sales book, nothing. I always tell people they need to drive one to appreciate it.
