Let us be clear on two things: 1) I have owned every manufacturers truck, save the imports, so I can speak to Fords' edge from a point of real world experience. 2) These are trucks! They do not drive like cars, have fuel economy like cars and cost is HUGE! Mine is the 6.7 Powerstroke, no option to select that above and I have logged less than 500 miles so far, so reliability is based on my previous experience with 7.3, 6.0, 6.4 diesels and the chassis they were in. Once you get out of your Chevy and sit in a Ford, the reason they have been on top for all these years is apparent. Ford does trucks like no one else period. The interior is well thought out, the controls easy to use, once you get around all the technology, and the build quality exceptional. The materials are top notch and the fitment is great. At this price point, sticker of $73K, one expects that and should settle for nothing less. It has more gadgets, some useful some not, then the latest phone loaded with Apps. Equipped with the FX4 package the ride is firm and you will know when you hit a pothole, but for a 3/4 ton pick-up I am amazed at how smooth it is. The latest generation of the 6.7 is responsive and extremely quiet. Real world MPG without towing combined are in the high 17's, just two mpg off my gas powered 1/2 ton Silverado! That is impressive for a truck this large. People who complain about fuel economy need to get a reality check. I remember the days of a straight six in a F-100 averaging 13 on a good day cruising the highway. If there is one definitive about driving it, my wife thought it was easier to drive then the Silverado or the Ram! For someone who drives a mid-size SUV which could just about ride in the bed, that says allot. Update after a year and half: Well, I have been driving it for a year and half now, taking it on vacation pulling our fifth wheel and still cannot find anything to really complain about. The towing ability is fantastic and the fuel economy is still in the 18’s driving around town; towing is different matter but considering we fought headwinds whole pulling 33’ of fifth wheel I guess I cannot complain. The only issue it has had was with the sunroof sticking which the dealer repaired. I stand by the statement made in my initial review; Ford is king when it comes to these trucks for overall build quality and performance.

I have the plow package with an 8 ft fisher plow straight blade , however when I operate the plow the heater will shut off the radio will shut off and the hands free phone will not work. I cannot run the defrost and get heat on my feet at the same time the fan won't come on . This is the V 8 gas job. Very frustrating and the dealership keeps telling me they're working on it , I bought it december 2016. Be aware

I bought this vehicle new. On the test drive it pulled horribly upon braking I should have walked away. But I didn't. They fixed the braking issues by replacing the calipers, (that is what they told me?). I buy the vehicle and in a short time notice the trucks steering always drifts to the right, to the point of going off the road if not corrected continuously. Five plus times to 2 different dealerships and the truck still pulls. We go to arbitration and the arbitrator declares it unsafe, but gives Ford another shot to repair, declares it unsafe again and issues a buy back. All the time Ford claims it is normal. All I want for $62.000 is a truck that drives straight. Ford does not do the buy backs, but contracts it to a completely incompetent company called Concentric. Long story short 8 months after the designated buy back completion I still have a defective truck, along with another Ford that I purchased as a replacement. It fortunately drives straight. I have contacted FMC numerous times and all they do is refer me to Concentric. WARNING if you buy a Ford that turns into a LEMON don't expect any help from FORD or the BBB, which is the arbitration agency. Almost 2 years after putting out $62,000 I still have a FORD piece of junk. Buyers Beware. I really expected a lot more from Ford Motor Company. After 18 months from the buy back award, my truck has gone back to Ford. Most of my money was returned. The repurchase was to be completed within 30 days, not a year and a half. Ford, Concentrix, and the BBB have been extremely difficult to deal with. NEVER AGAIN FORD.

I was happy with my 2014 F250 but this one seems to much improved vehicle.from the interior to engine very happy ,so far.

I've towed people out of mud, snow, dirt and handles like a dream. interior is spacious and when I hang with my friends they all want one cuz its big, lean, spacious, and cool. 2017 ford f250 is the first super duty Ive owned but Ive owned many fords in the past and this truck is everything my expectations needed and then more. I bought my super duty used at 25000 miles and the only problems i have with it at now 54000 miles is the steering link dampener which is a recall from ford. but I dont take my trucks to any dearship I work on my vehicles and my suggestion is replace that recall with an upgraded fox product and the preferably a dual steering stabilizer as well to tighten the steering and to prevent any suspension replacement in the future. with dodge and chevy you would to replace the entire frond end suspension and sway bars. with ford you dont have too just upgrade the two components. Ive heard a lot of the front end rattling just tighten the rods at the end because they do loosen up, especially if you have big tires and rims which i do have on my super duty. Only complaint i have directly from ford manufacture is the gas pump for the model 2017 and up is to replace with an upgraded fuel pump because it does give out, my truck started to have trouble starting after awhile. but id rather replace my fuel pump rather then a whole front end suspensions like chevy and dodge do. I LOVE MY SUPER DUTY!!
