This is my fourth f250 i had two diesels and 2 5.4 v8. my previous 5.4 v8 got 16 on the highway. this new one only gets about 8, it has 410 gears. sume what disappointed.

I purchased this truck new on 06/30/2003 and within less than 200 miles the thing started to squeek and rattle something terrible. The doors rub on the weather strip making a nasty sound, the windows rattle if they are up or down. If the windows are down they clang in the doors. The entire body structure groans when you make a turn. Terrible truck for $36,000.

I was lucky enough to find a 2003 F-250 SD with the Powerstroke 6.0 and Torqshift tranny. This truck is just as comfortable going out on the town as it is hauling 14,000 lbs. The only downside, from a performance standpoint, is the cat converter (which first became a requirement in '03). Aside from that, I can't see any reason to purchase another heavy heavy-duty truck..... sorry GM & Dodge.
