Used 2023 Ford F-150 Consumer Reviews
Everything Everywhere All at Once
Just like someone would comment coming from the Toyota world the F150 is like a Spaceship. I initially went from a 2013 Tacoma Baja Ed to the Tundra TRD SR5. The Tacoma had a better package than the Tundra so it felt like a downgrade, then I totally went like 3 steps up with a 2022 F150 Lariat. OMG the technology package is unbelievable, the comfort inside is awesome. The F150 has so many features, you'll probably never used them all through out your ownership but they are there. The 3.7 ecoboost engine is powerful without breaking the bank for fuel, this is something where Toyota has totally dropped the ball. The space in the Crew Cab is a lot better than the Tacoma or the Tundra Double Cab. The interior design so much safe to use than that on the Tundra. Simply for instance the heated seats button in the Tundra are located way below the AC or radio controls you actually have to be almost look under the dashboard to find them, this is a safety issue since you have to take your eyes off the road in order to either turn them on or off. For a V6 engine having the same response of a V8 2 litters bigger and being faster it says a lot. With all the safety features even my insurance went a little down. I couldn't be more happy.

A real pain
I have owned well over a dozen Ford and Lincoln vehicles including several top trim F150s and never had any issues until this one. At 4500 miles the differential pinion seal was leaking. Got it replaced. At 5200 miles it was leaking again. Got it replaced. Now at 5500 miles it has started leaking again. From the time I picked it up, I would notice a shudder that was noticeable when I would accelerate just 3-4 mph. That issue has not been resolved. I think the driveshaft is out of balance or the pinion bearing is bad and that destroys the seals. It has totally destroyed my confidence in this vehicle. I can live with the other minor glitches like phone not connecting and navigation slow to start, but the drivetrain issue has marked my end of Ford products. Ford can say goodbye to the probably over a million bucks I’ve spent on Ford vehicles and anymore I might have spent. My advice is to stay away

10R80 Never Again!
I’ve owned many cars and trucks over the years, and I’ve always had a preference for Ford. I sold my 2005 F150 XLT to buy my brand new 2023 F150 Tremor 402- high option. By 5k miles I was seeing bugs. The Sync display would freeze, the power windows wouldn’t roll down when remote started, interior plastics would rattle. These things were annoying, but I could live with them. The came the clunking. It felt light I got rear ended. Coming to a stop, the truck started clunking. I then noticed it would downshift harshly, enough to jolt myself and others in the truck, or sometimes it would downshift too early, or not downshift at all - like total power loss when trying to go uphill or turn. I took it to the dealer, and they said even though they are aware of these defects ( covered in TSB 22-2428), Ford won’t authorize repairs unless they are repeatable - even though I have videos showing these happening multiple times. This truck has 8,400 miles and I HATE driving it. Google the Ford 10R80 issues before you ever think about buying one of these trucks. Ford has NOT fixed this issue, and those with them are stuck living with them and driving a clunky, jerky truck until the transmission eventually fails.

Junk IWE system
Very disappointed! Bought a new 2023 F-150 XLT in October 2023. The iwe system started acting up at the first bit of cold weather less than a month later. Been in the shop 4 times and it still isn't fixed. They replaced iwe and wheel bearings on one trip and then replaced the iwe again on another trip. The dealer has contacted Ford and they don't have a fix at this time. After doing some research I have found that this is widespread in XLT and lower packages. I was given a 2023 loaner, and it has the same problem. I have been trying for a buyback but have been denied so far.
The Sourness of a Lower Priced Truck is forever
I have owned F150's since 1998. In late 2022 Ford Dealers had virtually no inventory of F150 Lariats or Platinum Trims on the lot when my 2019 F150 Lariat lease ended. So I looked at "other brand of trucks" and found one of the "competitor's" version to be very nice and I like it. This OTHER TRUCKS had lower prices and they also had more inventory to choose from. I bought one. Well that so called more "bang for the buck" theme came to an end in less than 30 days and around 2300 miles it had catastrophic engine failure while I was 300 miles from home. The honeymoon was over when the Other Truck Brand's Service Department had my truck 70 of the 100 days I owned it. They could not get the engine fixed or even figure out what was wrong so I invoked the Lemon Law. I had a refund check in hand by early February 2023 so I went shopping again for a new truck. I acknowledge that any of the Five Manufacturers of Pick Up Trucks can have a bad one in the batch, even Ford. Believe it or not, I did give the exact same brand another chance and ordered (with no obligation-refundable deposit) the same truck with a the next higher trim level. However I had time to really think about my next purchase waiting on my new non-Ford truck to arrive. Thankfully once you have the time to really compare Ford to all the others, the Ford F150 is the clear winner. When you line them all up, with an open mind, it only made sense to buy F150 and hold out for what you really want. I certainly hope this 2023 F150 treats me well as I acknowledge any manufacturer can produce a Lemon every now and then again, my experience with another brand was likely just a case of bad luck. I believe I made the right choice going back to Ford because I had all the facts, personal experiences and comparisons at my disposal. My only beef with Ford's F150 higher level of trims, is that they have no chips for a heated steering wheel? My advice to Ford is take some of those 'chips' from the EV F150 Lightning & EV Mustang and use them to provide and complete their pricey ICE vehicles. Ford you need to prioritize on ICE vehicles, the ones who brought you to the dance since the production of Henry's first Model T. Ford should at least give you a pair of Leather Driving Gloves with your purchase if they cannot somehow manage one more chip for a heated steering wheel. PS: I cannot name the OTHER TRUCK as I signed a Non-Disclosure Agreement with that company that refunded my money in full, taxes and all.

So Far a Great Truck
I was worried somewhat about this truck's reliability after seeing Consumer Report's ranking as the least reliable truck in its survey. CR, I beg to differ at least for the first 2000 miles (with no maintenance issues) that I have owned it. CNET and Edmunds like it and I think their analysis is more correct. I have a 2023 Ford 4x4 Platinum Hybrid and I couldn't be happier with it. Good gas mileage was a factor in my decision but I don't see anyway it will average its EPA estimate of 23/23/23. I haven't had to go anywhere in a hurry or tow my boat so I have really babied it on some trips. No more than 73 MPH with cruise control and I really try to let it drive in the electric mode as much as I can. The best I can get is 22 MPG in Eco mode when I calculate fuel and miles and the trip computer says it gets 22.4 MPG. This is all on flat Florida terrain. The sound system is really superb. I have never been in a quieter vehicle. It rides well, better than my 2014 Tundra 1794 that I traded. The connectivity navigation features, maps and Blue Cruise all work well. I haven't decided whether or not to get an extended warranty, I'll just see how it does. I really wanted a new Tundra 1794 but this truck is so superior to it in so many ways that I couldn't buy a Tundra. The Tundra has no Auto 4WD, The Ford does. The Tundra has less headroom, less legroom and less comfortable seats. The bumpers are plastic, the window trim doesn't fit properly and the wind noise is excessive. The tailgate has no real step-up other than that goofy little step that you can push down to step in to the bed because you can't step on the bumper (or it comes down automatically in the higher trims). In contrast, the tailgate step in the Ford is well thought out and has a handrail also. For those of you that Tailgate at College Football games, the tailgate has 2 black metal tiedowns, one on each side. They double as bottle openers, clever. The Ford bumpers are metal as they should be. Storage under the rear seat is great. That's where they put the Tundra's hybrid battery. I could go on and on but so far this is the best vehicle I have ever owned and is an absolute joy to drive. Power is unbelievable the few times I've punched the accelerator. Edmunds, you don't list a Platinum 4x4 Super Cab Hybrid in your Model section where you select your trim. You need to fix this because the only hybrid you list is the Limited that I had to select to submit this. My truck might as well be the Limited except for the 22 inch wheels, mine are 20 inch.

Perfect truck
I got the lariat with powerboost. This truck has fixed all my nagging inconveniences from previous models. From the extension to the running boards for quick access to the bed to the mobile workstation. All wheel drive is amazing. Pulled 9k lbs in 4lo through soft silty soil already no issues. This truck is awesome.

Great truck - Comfortable, Reliable, Dependable!
I love the comfort and power of my F-150, and am especially pleased with the huge touchscreen infotainment system. My F-150 XLT has all the features I need at a great price, and the first 20K miles have been absolutely perfect.

Nice truck
So far I like the truck .. only dislike is the lack of brightness with the head lights
Waiting to like it more
We have had the truck one month, and it will have spent 10-12 of the first 35 days in the dealerships’ service departments, replacing a battery, and trying to figure out an intermittent “check engine” warning light on the dash display. Hopefully AutoNation Ford Torrance will fix the flaw. If so, I might like the truck more

They must be doing something right…
A very brief update to my comments below, which I would not change. Even with the small 2.7 turbo, towing is effortless; accelerating to 80mph uphill on a mountainous Interstate with 5000 lbs in boat and gear behind me is quick, such that passing a semi doesn’t incur the wrath of left lane drivers behind me. I frequently have a slight vibration, seemingly in the drivetrain, particularly when not towing and an empty bed, which my two previous almost identical trucks didn’t have. The service manager acknowledged feeling it, and was directed by Ford to drive other new trucks on the lot; he said they also had the vibration, so basically, tough nougies. On back to back 800 mile days towing, my only complaint is: why does the blind spot warning system shut off when the trailer is connected and this truck no longer comes with those convex mirror insets? The truck clunks in 4wd when the wheel is at maximum turn; service manager says they all do now. This is my third leased F-150 in a row; previously I had a 2017 and 2020. I never expected to lease a third one, but at the last moment, my Ford dealer came through in a completely unexpected way. If there is any other company leasing a new vehicle for three years/ 31,500 miles at a total cost of 26% of the MSRP, I sure haven’t seen it. All three of my F-150s have been very similar; all were SuperCabs, with the 2.7 Ecoboost engine. I tow a 4000 lb boat over 3000 miles a year, locally and back and forth to Florida in the winter. The first was an XL but with 20 inch wheels, the latter two have been XLTs, also with the big wheels. The ‘17 had a six-speed transmission, the last two a ten-speed. I saw no advantage to the greater number of gears in the 2020 edition, no better mileage and not as smooth. This newest one seems better calibrated; no more jerkiness. The most remarkable thing about the new one is that I am getting consistently better mileage; like 2 mpg more on average. I have no idea why given it’s the same engine and I thought the transmission is the same as in my 2020, but the decreased gas consumption has kept repeating itself. Once again, I didn’t get to order exactly what I wanted, I chose one off the lot and had to take or miss options that I would have wanted or done without. I would have leased a crew cab this time around, but the real out-the-door price dictated another SuperCab. This one, Ike my last, came with a bench seat, which is not so bad as the dog likes to sit between us on long trips and I truly prefer either the old school column shift (or the console shift in my ‘17) over the button and dial nonsense common these days. The cloth seats are exceptionally comfortable on long trips, and the three position heat feature is greatly appreciated on cold mornings. I now have automatic climate control for the first time on an F-150 and love it compared to the manual version in previous ones. Also love the big center screen and the combination of touch and knob controls; I think Ford strikes a nice balance here. I wish I could have found a truck with adaptive cruise control; Ford was only building it into higher trim levels at insane sticker prices, and none available on dealer lots and websites I checked. This truck has lane departure warnings in the mirrors for the first time for me; it’s a mixed bag. The pretty large extra convex mirrors built into the side mirrors in my previous trucks were adequate for me and more importantly, the new system is automatically disabled when I attach my trailer. I think the higher trim levels do something about this, but I expect this to be a big negative in my first Florida trip coming up. Sometimes, cheaper and simpler is good enough. I am still impressed with just how quiet and smooth riding this truck is; a new very top trim level Mazda CX-50 we just bought (primarily for my wife) is noisier and harder riding than this F-150 which says a lot about this pickup or perhaps about the Mazda. Towing is still a strong suit in this truck, even with the small engine. I was considering getting a mid-sized three row crossover with 5000 lb towing capacity to replace my 2020, (or buying out my lease) but decided that towing at maximum capacity on long trips is not a great idea. Towing with this truck is effortless. I wish I had the optional bigger fuel tank for the Florida tow, but I believe Ford has remedied this in the revised 2024 F-150. This truck came with a trailer brake controller which I have no use for with my boat. Ford ran out of parts in 2023 for the auto stop/start feature that I had on my previous two trucks. I didn’t really mind it on the last two but don’t miss not having it on this one and while the EPA city mileage is one mpg less on the window sticker, as I have said, I am getting better gas mileage on this new truck. I will have to wait and see how this truck does in the snow with the tires that came with it; my 2020 was disappointing with the Goodyears it came with. I had to be towed when I slid off my driveway despite having four-wheel drive to try to extricate myself. It was my fault that I failed to engage the 4x4 before starting up the incline to my house with just light snow on the driveway, but I think better tires would have gotten me out. With a leased vehicle, I am reluctant to spend money on better winter tires in a region that has a good amount of snow, but not tons of it. Next time I will be sure to engage 4x4 when in doubt. I wonder why the truck, and every other pick-up, has a system that, unlike previous Explorers and Expeditions I have owned, does not let me leave it in four-wheel on dry pavement. One thing I hate about this truck involves the redesign that I guess took place in 2021: why did Ford feel it necessary to move the steering wheel controls to the opposite side of the wheel from the previous versions??? What is the benefit? I was used to having the radio and cruise control features in one place only to find them reversed in this edition. It’s bad enough that I have to adjust to each vehicle I own at the same time, but what possible reason did Ford have to do this, particularly in a vehicle that evidently breeds brand loyalty? I have to say that I don’t think I am particularly brand loyal, and I visited Chevy, Ram, Nissan, and Toyota dealers before re-upping with Ford. Nobody had a better product, in my opinion, and all had much higher, non-competitive, lease prices. I love the Ford rewards program, despite knowing nothing about it, or how I earned points. I can report that the three years of leasing of my 2020 F-150 cost me absolutely nothing! For whatever reason, I had enough points to get all required service and NYS inspections at zero cost (primarily oil/filter changes and tire rotations). The dealer in Sarasota even gave me free breakfast while I waited. The only problems I had with my previous trucks involved the entertainment screen and back-up cameras (on both trucks) but this one has been flawless so far, but it’s early. One advantage of leasing is that I don’t worry about replacing tires, brakes, or making non-warranty repairs, but I don’t have the ability to share info on long-term durability. Only Ford, for reasons I have no explanation for, has made leasing a pick-up desirable, at a reasonable price. Once again Edmond’s doesn’t give me the option of selecting my exact trim level. I have an XLT SuperCab 6.5 foot 4x4 with the 2.7 turbo.

Built Ford Junk (Tried to kill me update)
First off, let me preface this with, i owned a 2017 f150 fx4 5.0 with the 6 speed that was 100% reliable, and all around a great vehicle.. So when it came time, I knew i wanted to upgrade to the new body style and get a higher trim model.. The new truck i went powerboost, it did get great mpg, 34mpg was my best around town and could see without trying 25mpg all around mixed driving.. Honestly the mpg is amazing.. The seats were comfortable over 6ft tall, the headroom is good front and back, but the A pillar is thicker and added to the blind spot, the base mirrors are too small to see out of, and they shrunk the turning radius so now it's harder to maneuver, the fit and finish is also god awful, the last truck even offroad didn't have a squeak or rattle in it, this one constantly rattles, the doors don't seal right and whistle, the thing does not feel quality, the sync 4 system, while the screen is ultra nice, the software leaves a lot to be desired, wireless carplay or android, have both, and neither stays connected causing you to have to figure out where you're going phone in hand, when hard cabled it does the same thing, the built in navigation which used to be free is now a service, but only if you allow ford and ford insurance company access to live driving data, otherwise there's no navigation any longer.. the material quality too went from feeling rugged to feeling built really cheap.. even the shift knob feels like terrible plastic.. the rear headrests on the older models would flip down, not anymore now they are fixed and in line of visibility, personally i'd go tundra, having now owned this thing for 5 months, and being it's been in the shop for electrical issues and having left me stranded twice in 7k miles, i'd recommend anything not this.. About 4 months after writing this, I was on my way home from work, at 75mph on the highway when the brake control module failed, at roughly 8300 miles.. This caused me to not only loose the main brakes but also the electronic parking brake.. leaving me barreling down the highway with no way to stop.. I even contemplated opening the door, hoping it would throw the thing into park.. I ended up riding a guardrail to get it to stop.. luckily no one was hurt or killed. They towed it back to the dealership, where they found the body control module failed (3rd time) and it took out the brake actuator module for the hybrid drive, which caused the brakes to fail. The Insurance company luckily totaled it, and reported the findings to the NHTSA, and sued Ford for the money after the failure, and the multiple repair attempts. Things I learned: 1. No more hybrids or electric vehicles 2. No more integrated safety crap.. 3. The master cylinder must be connected to the pedal 4. Emergency brake must be a pull handle or foot pedal 5. Warranties are worthless if the dealerships can't fix the issues 6. No More Fords 7. MPG means nothing if you are dead 8. I can fix nearly any gas engine myself, so it's pointless to buy anything else.

Best F150 Yet
After riding in a friends new f150 (a freshly converted Chevy man), I finally decided to trade in my beloved 2017 F150, to purchase a new 2023 F150 lariat crew cab 5.5 bed with the 3.5L ecoboost engine and 3.55 gears (Edmunds does not offer this configuration in the drop down). I absolutely love the truck, it rides smoother and quieter than my 2017, plus has more power (it is fast). I tow a 19 foot fiberglass boat (approximately 5,000 lbs. with trailer) and with a bed full of gear and supplies for a long weekend trip, my old truck would sag and sometimes hit the bump stops over rough roads. The 2023 with Max Trailer Tow package has no issues with the load. It has more than enough power on the highway, never seems to struggle. Towing is far more controlled and relaxed with copilot assist 2.0 which keeps the truck in my lane and regulates speed based on traffic ahead. Another great feature is you can input parameters custom to your trailer which calibrate the blind spot monitors to account for the trailer length. MGP while empty is about the same, average 19 MPG, better on the hwy. It does get thirsty while towing, like most trucks. After about 5,000 miles, I have had zero issues, and besides the high cost of purchase could not be happier. I do have two critiques. I opted for the standard side mirrors instead of the tow mirrors. I find the tow mirrors to be really ugly (too big) but the standard mirrors are rather small. They were better on the 2017. The second thing I don't love is drive mode selection. The 2017 had a button on the side of the shifter that selected tow haul mode instantly. The 2023 requires turning a dial on the dash to scroll through 5 or 6 options to get tow haul. Not a big deal, but I preferred the button. I still think this is the best 1/2 ton truck on the market considering power, comfort, tech, fuel economy, and quality. Plus the aluminum body does not rust (zero corrosion on the 2017 after 7 harsh Wisconsin winters).

Terrible Truck & Terrible Service
F150 2023 STX 4x4. Transmission problem at 25k miles. Called several dealers around, they say need 7-10 days diagnosis, one service man told me a long wait list. I guess a common problem. and no loaner car!! Don’t waste your money, mood, and time on Fixed Or Repair Everyday (FORD)!! Terrible Experience!
Ford Truck
I’m a third generation Ford truck owner and this is the 4th Ford truck I’ve owned. These trucks are reliable and hardworking just like me. These new trucks are not only tough but they are comfortable and so technically advanced. With every truck I’ve bought I’ve been pleasantly surprised with how well thought out these trucks are being built. Great job FORD!

Electronic issues still one year later
I have owned my f150 for a year. Since day one, the radio/navigation goes and comes. Only half the time does it sink to my phone. Sometimes it freezes up. After two trips to the dealer, still does the same thing. This is my only complaint.

Long Time F150 Owner Does It Again
My last F150 was a 2019 XLT, which performed very well for 4 years and 80,000 plus miles. Other than replacing the 3.5 cam phasers it never spent a day in the shop. Three days ago we traded it in for a new 2023 XLT. Wow! Love the new colors, the technology stuff, the ProPower option, and the FX4/Chrome packages. Ford has done it again! This version is a huge improvement in every way and promises to be another winner. In short, everyone should have a truck, and once again that truck should be a Ford F150!

"My" 2023 f150 honest review
I bought a brand new 2023 f150 reg cab 2wd short bed 5.0 coyote. I left the dealership with 25 miles on it and drove 960 miles back home. VERY comfortable trip! Got a little over 21 mpg running 75-80. Now I'm at 1500 miles and I love this truck. Little wind noise coming from somewhere, not bad though. It's a xl (work truck) BUT.. it is a very loaded "work" truck. Who needs power seats and a bigger TV screen... not me.

Even his wife is happy!
My construction husband needed to retire his 2001 Ford F250. Since he is in retirement as well, we decided on an F150 XLT. He loves it. I love it! We are both so happy with it. It has all the bells and whistles that we wanted (ApplePlay is the best!), the seats are so comfortable, the back seat area is huge for extra riders or for cargo if we take it on a trip which we are actually hoping to do. Our other car is a Acura MDX and we love it, also, but wouldn't mind giving the F150 a road trip in the future. We had the bed sprayed instead of buying a fit-in cover and so happy we made that choice. He added a tonneau cover that rolls away should he need the space for tall items. It is good for doing jobs and carrying materials as he chooses to do so, but also for more domestic uses! No buyers remorse from us!

My dream truck
Never had a new vehicle but I'm getting older and said why not. Traded a 2017 Nissan Titan for my 2023 Ford F-150 XLT SuperCrew sport RWD V8 area 51. Truck is beautiful had the console shifter and the rear ac vents, 12 inch screen, heated seats remote start. Navigation. I've added a 2 inch level kit to front, hdx grill guard, wheel well liners in rear, spray in bed liner, cut the pipe after cats into a x pipe and two borla s types out the back to black tips. Weather tech floor liners, window visors amd tinted windows. This truck came with the start stop delete wish I'm happy about. Ford sucks in the option category how do i pay for a xlt but i cant get the garage door opener or vanity lights on the fold doen mirror standard. Some other Things I wish I had would be 360 camera, tail gate step, adjustable pedals, and Ford Co pilot assist. Performance is great in any normal mode or sport mode she runs like a scalded dog. For highway trips I put her in eco mode and best I've seen was like 25 miles per gallon. I plan on keeping this truck a very long time and she will be well taken care off. I have a few more modifications to make like I've already purchased the katskins leather seats just got get them installed, a tonneau cover, I have a 13 or 15 inch fold down DVD monitor and player, maybe some under the rear seat subwoofers and that's about it until factory warranty runs out than maybe some long tube headers. And mustang manifold and tune etc. I have the 18 inch rims they are tiny but I like the design wish they came on 20s. So maybe wheels and tires some day. But overall this truck is awesome. --------------------------------------‐------------------------------------------- Update: 2025 Added the Katzkin leather seats, and the tonneau cover and bedliner. I brought the shorter aftermarket antenna and put some down firing subwoofers in a box under the backseats. I ordered some 22 inch black ford performance rims have to decide what tires to get and get them put on. Truck still so fun to drive gas mileage has gone down I don't drive it much and modified it like 16 in city and 20 to 21 on highway. Still loving this truck.

Worst f150 Of all time
Bought it drove it home about 150 miles I drive about 15-20 every day to work. Low battery comes on. I can’t start from phone app. Dealer states you have to drive it for an hour to charge it. Hmmm so if you lease at 12k a year that’s not enough mile to keep it charged for normal driving. What a mistake on buying a hybrid.

Rental
The vehicle rented is a Lariat. Comparing to my RAM Laramie I find it lacking. I like the engine and quiet ride. The interior is NOT comparable- it's got cheap plastic and leatherette or vinyl- not sure. The visibility is somewhat restrained when looking over my shoulder. Seats are much less comfortable than RAM. Wheels are also cheap compared with RAM. The technology seems good, but fairly busy. Even the wheel well panels are cheaper. I expected much more from a Lariat. Not a hater... just surprised.
Patients worn Not nearly as good as stated
Overall the comfort and ride are very nice. The performance of the engine is good, the Hybrid has had problems with start/stop issue because it detects the slightest electrical defect and shuts down the vehicle so you can no drive it. The issue seemed to fixed in September of 2023. but the update in early 2024 Brought more of the same issues. My vehicle has now been in the shop over 40 days due to the hybrid part of the vehicle. we have been stranded many times. The best i have got for milage was 21.9 but average 19.5 and most of that is highway. I tow an 8000# lb trailer and average 8 for mpg. The depreciation is very high on this vehicle also. I will never buy another hybrid f150.. I purchase the F150 with the 5.0 or 3.5 in it.

2023 Ford F150
No real problems with this vehicle, just taking some time to get used to all gadgets and features. Two things I really don't like are the brakes locking when applied at a stop sign and the engine shutting off when you are stopped...But you can shut those features off.

Best Truck Money Can Buy
I purchased the truck new and have roughly 30k miles and absolutely love this truck. The driving and handling are smooth and precise. The power and torque this truck has are amazing especially considering than I get 17.5 MPG on average. The ride quality is the most comfortable I’ve ever felt, the seats and suspension provide such a luxurious feel.

A Truck Done Right!
The 2023 Ford F150 lineup provides a TON of variables to allow you to get the truck that is right for you. Power and economy don't necessarily come up in truck conversations, but with the available power options, and especially with the PowerBoost Hybrid, you can get the best of both worlds! I use my trucks, but when taking a road trip, I want the comfort, conveniences and quiet that aren't usually found in a pickup, so my new truck (F150 King Ranch) was a very pleasant and unexpected surprise that exceeded anything that I thought the truck would or could provide. The ride, handling, and quiet within the cabin would make anyone a "happy camper"(figuratively and literally!). I chose the SuperCrew 3.5L 6Cyl Turbo Gas/Electric Hybrid with 6.5' bed on 157" wheelbase, so it's not a small vehicle and the turning radius (as you can imagine) is not referenced by a "dime" or even a silver dollar, but everything else about the truck, including all of the conveniences and driver's assistance features, makes the driving experience VERY pleasurable. This is my 7th Ford pickup (starting with a '56 F100, up to my 2010 F150), and the improvements between any of those and the 2023 version are immeasurable. Ford F150's are "Built Ford Tough", but they have a very pleasant and enjoyable side too!

3 in a row and counting.
Just purchased my 3rd F-150 since 2013. Can't say enough about these trucks. When searching for my 2023, I proceeded with due diligence. I have 3 "have to have's"...Comfort, fuel efficiency (got better than 26 mpg in my previous 2 F-150's), and towing capability for a 7500# camper. I'm not a "die hard" Ford, or GM, or Ram guy. I checked out a Chevy and GMC dealership. Fuel economy and towing apparently aren't used in the same sentence with GM, as in both instances of Chevy and GMC, the salesperson pointed to 1 fuel efficient truck, and 1 gas guzzler for towing. Don't need 2 trucks, only 1. As I've discovered in my previous buying experiences, Ford offers both in 1 package. Comfort speaks for itself. It's not broken, and Ford hasn't done anything inside the cab, especially seating, that compromises that. Actually downgraded from a 2018 XLT to my 2023 XL. Haven't lost anything option wise and found the truck I really wanted, instead of one that I settled for back in 2018.

Meh
Raptor is very comfortable but hardly fast. Started cold start studders & hard transmission shifts. Also the parking sensors constantly disabled due to the smallest particle blocking it looks good on the outside but dated on the inside. Had some issues with one of the turbos, luckily covered under warranty but doesn't instill confidence long term

So far an excellent truck. Like: Power Comfort MPG Infotainment Technology Sound system. Dislike: The radio antenna, looks old and doesn't match with the technology in the vehicle. Turn ratio, no so easy no maneuver.
