We have had many issues with tailgate refusing to open! Now the the back lights keep blinking on and off. Weird issues for a new truck!😳 Very frustrating when you can not open tailgate and now we have to unplug the battery due to the back tailgate light going on and off!!!! 2016 ford pickup......not happy!

ford f 150 extra cab xlt 4 wheel drive

I have had this truck to 2 different dealerships. My compliant was rough shifting in the rear end. The driveline seemed to be tight, once it got warm it felt like had slack and made a noise. Going on a long trip, put vehicle in cruise and when going downhill or uphill the rear end would make a very noticeable thump , even the passengers would notice. Had it to several dealerships and they said , there is nothing wrong with it. But I paid 45,000 dollars for this truck and I am scared to go on a long trip. It is very annoying for me and my passengers to listen to the noise it makes.

The XLT

This truck has been a staple in my family's life since we bought it in 2016. We, a Cali family, had never needed anything bigger than our Mazdas and our Ford sedans until we went to Oklahoma. The towing capability, passenger capacity, cab space, power, and fuel efficiency are all superb. Power options within the cab range from the 12v plug to three different USB plugs. The XLT offers a 2.7L v6 turbo charged engine and I will tell you that with the truck in sports mode.. that merge into the freeway makes life so much easier, especially in California where everyone drives for themselves and disregards anyone else on the road. Overall the truck is amazing, if I wasn't back in California where every parking space is compact and the isles of parking lots tiny.. everything tiny.. I would never give away the truck, but it has to go, I can't park anywhere.

After 6 years and 68000 miles

In town gas mileage around 20 mog give or take. 55 mph hwy 25 mpg, xway 75mph 21.5 ish. Great motor w/ plenty of power. I tow light trailers. Half ton in bed it really squats. The aluminum body does dent easier that steel. Speaking of steel, the rear bumper has started to rust. Also starting to get a little rattling from various places heard inside cab. Due for new tires to replace originals so that may quiet things down some. I plan on buying again. Oil change intervals around 7500-8000 miles according to on board computer.

Limp mode

Had the pleasure of my vehicle going into "limp mode" then shutting itself down. 500$ tow, 2000 estimate from Ford. I bought the 40$ temp sensor and installed it myself. Only needed to remove the wheel well and tire to reach it. This is perhaps the most idiotic thing I've ever seen done to a truck. I am so mad.
