Power and ride comfort are pretty good as acceleration lags a bit. We hadn't brought a new car in 10 years so we are very impressed with the technology in this Explorer. I drive it on the weekends and really like it. Only downside is fuel economy, not as good as I had hoped. If you can afford it, go for one with ecoboost. It's been over a year now, and we are still enjoying the Explorer with no repairs or "adjustments" that are sometimes common with new vehicles.
