Great SUV
I've had little issues with this vehicle other than stopping in for recall issues. Quick service. Very reliable vehicle. Looks great. Rides well!

SE 2.0 FWD review
The handling/suspension is very rough, and is the biggest disappointment. The fuel economy is not great either; averaging about 25 mpg in mixed driving. On the interior the lack of storage space is surprising. Reliability has been fine, with no mechanical issues. The engine(2.0) can be rough at idle but is plenty powerful, with good torque off the line. On the interior, I had issues with the hatch handle coming loose and screws on the back panel area falling out.. Lastly, this car is a pain in the butt to work on. The air and cabin filters are more difficult to replace than necessary. It is about a 1 hr job just to access and replace the battery. To remove the panel to access the oil drain plug you must remove numerous screws. I got so sick of this that I just left it off. Update Sep. 2019 the vehicle is just over 100,000 miles now and I am very surprised how trouble free the vehicle has been overall. During this time we only had to take the vehicle in for one minor repair under $600 to replace a sensor. This repair fixed the rough idle I had mentioned in the original review. We have had no further issues and the interior has held up very well.

Transmission issues
My 2014 escape transmission died 6 years after buying it brand new from a dealer. It’s at 140000km. It costs $5000cad to rebuild at a transmission shop or $7000cad from Ford. They will give you the runaround and refuse to take your car in. Also they seem to be very accustomed to hearing complaints and have an answer for everything! Run do not walk away from this vehicle!
2014 Ford Escape
We have had the car two years, but so far we are enjoying the purchase and have had no negative comments about this vehicle.
