You get what you pay for!
The vehicle had everything I wanted however within 30 days I had a leak and one of the reservoirs and the dealership though I paid cash one at $100 for that. Within a 6 months to a year I had to really replace all the lug nuts, due to a manufacturer defect. Which Ford is aware of and will not change out. You must buy Ford's lug nuts! The longer you keep the vehicle the more chances you will have to replace with them again! It costs over $300. within 2 years of owning the vehicle I had an engine problem that was not covered by my coverage on the vehicle, another $2,000 out. I bought the car with 40,000 mi on it, it is up to 106,000 mi. Now the transmission has gone. I have only owned it for 4 years! I will never buy another Ford!

Escape escapes problems for five years!
Performance and maintenance better than expected. Only thing bothersome is noise increase over time. Guess dry Colorado air dries out rubber around windows.

Great SUV
For a SUV Ford made a good car. comfortable, low wind and road noise, easy to handle. A 2.0 4 cylinder engine should get better on fuel even with turbo.

Still young with under 400 miles on the vehicle
With me medically retiring from the military and getting a service dog, it was time to retire our Suzuki SX4 for something bigger, and with us moving to Maine it had to have AWD. We had looked at Subaru's but the Ford dealer was able to give us a substantial discount to make this less than a Subaru, so we bit. Wonderful little SUV, love the way that the AWD starts out in AWD and shifts to FWD as you are cruising. Fuel econ has been great, and the kids are comfortable in the rear, with the dog in the back it fit's us perfectly. Going to have to do a few trips to get her to 1k miles before we move to tow a trailer, but that should not be an issue with how nice she drives. Will do an update.
