One nice truck
I have bought this truck from a gentleman that had it for about 3 years and he told me it was a good one. I can say he was right, strong engine gives you the power you want when needed, I feel confident on it and is quite comfortable. You can haul tons of stuff, the folding back seat allows to do so, even when in a rainy day. I am having a little bit of an issue with a leak on the transmission fluid, but other than that this is an excellent vehicle. I will get a newer one as soon as I can.
The big Dodge
I have bought this truck for my dad, ever since I took it home my father babied it waxed it even after his 2 heart attacks ..my father loved his Dodge, that’s why we still have the truck.

Christine, is a truck
I bought my truck four or five years ago, had around a hundred fifty grand on odometer. I fell in love with her curves and love the purr of the 5.2L V8, even if it is a little lacking in get up and go. It sounds great and looks good. Maintenance wise its been a pain. Im on the third replacement transmission, now the guys who replaced it put a three year one hundred fifty thousand mile guatantee on it. Im wet sanding it now shes getting straightened and painted in two weeks. I dont know why i keep on putting money in her? I think I ought to have my head examined. I have a 2020 ,F 150 that I only drive if the dodge is having something done to it. Its a thst purr. Ive got flowmaster duel exhaust on her. Sounds fast and furious. Its just not all that fast, lol.
Great pickup
I was the second owner of my 1999 1500, 2WD. It was "Plain Jane", had the V6, 5 speed, no frills (crank windows, etc.), 78k miles. Nine years later, I sold the truck with 288k on her. Replaced clutch at 185k; clutch looked good, throughout bearing was shredded. Replaced shocks just after clutch. Between 200k and 250k, replaced tie rod ends, water pump, oxygen sensor and idle control valve. AC was re-charged 2x, no system parts replaced. Rotors turned and new pads twice. Rear brakes were only cleaned and adjusted. Never touched the starter, alternator, or exhaust system. Completed fluid changes and routine maintenance over the years. An after-market stereo was in place when I purchased the pickup. Added a hitch, only occasional light towing duty (landscape trailer with yard waste). I added a dash mat protector early, no trouble with dash cracking that others have experienced. Very pleased with the '99 Dodge Ram 1500.
