My 2012 Chevy Volt is by far the best car I have ever owned. (And I have owned 10 new cars in my life.) This vehicle has impressed me in so many ways. nothing can compare with the smoothness, quiet refined ride and tight responsive handling. The acceleration is very satisfying and completely free of shifting. It's just what you wish every car could do. I especially like the fact that I can drive most of my trips without using a drop of gasoline while maintaining the flexibility to do a cross country drive on gas if I need to. (Seems like no other car offers this flexibility.) Most days I am spending less than 30 cents to recharge. (And I have the electric bills to prove it.
More affordable than I thought...

I've had my 2012 Volt for a month now, and I'm confident in saying that Chevrolet has delivered on all of it's promisies: This car is qiuet, quick, comfortable and cost effective. When I first saw the $40,000 base price, I wasn't sure that I could afford it. However, when I factor in the money I save each month on gas, this is actually the most affordable car I've ever owned. The federal and state incentives are also a big help. Just like everybody else says, it feels powerful and solidly built. The on-board technology is delightful. I bought the base model, because the "standard" features on this car would be premium options on any other car. Technologically, the Volt stands alone.

Have had the volt fdor 2 weeks now, gone 300 miles and not used a drop of gas yet The estimated milage is bogus, you get much more. this car is really built, i have had 2 Pirus prior to this a 2004 and a 2007, they are like tin cans compared to the Volt.

I like my tag line better than Chevy's "More Car than Electric" - it says it all so much more succinctly. I've always enjoyed the smooth and quiet driving experience of an electric car. Volt delivers that in spades. It also goes beyond a mere e-car by having range extending gas for when the battery runs low. So it's the best of both worlds. Even better, the transition from E to G is so smooth - way better than other hybrids I've owned or driven. The total package is so well thought out - truly amazing.

For years I was a big BMW fan including an M5,M3,and 740iSport.The Volt replaced a 2011 Mazda3 Touring hatchback with leather and technology package and joins a 2001 CTS wagon,an Infinity G35s and a Siverado truck We have driven the Volt 781 total miles and 749 of these have been on the battery burning 1.3 gallons of gas The body panels fit is excellent,the crystal red paint is the best factory paint I have ever owned.The interior with black leather and dark accents is attractive and very comfortable but not quite as nice as the CTS or the BMW's I have owned .The Nav,backup camera are fantastic along with the Bose system .The car drives,steers and stops like a properEuro sedan
