Good, Bad and the Ugly
We got this car brand new! The handling was excellent. ABS worked great the one night I needed it. We had 230K miles when it gave up the ghost. The steering wheel had a great feel. The Bad: The cloth seats wore fast. The beverage cup holder broke so often the dealership sold them at cost to me. The back seat was horrible for any body over 8 years old. Alot of wind noise. The Ugly: The 4 wheel disc brakes had a recall / class action. Spent almost $1000 on replacing front brakes every 30K miles until I spent $1200 getting the entire brake system replaced. I got $43 in the class action. The tranny went south at 200K /$900 repair. Needed a engine rebuild at 230K. Got a brand 2005 Ford Focus.
PREPARE FOR REPAIRS
This veh drives smooth, when it wants to. From my experience if it's not one thing it's another. So far I've probably invested over 2.5k in repairs here and there. If you're buying this vehicle used make sure that the previous owners were kind to it. Any small lack of maintenance will really affect it's performance. I've had problems with the power windows, radiator core, cooling system, a bunch of electrical problems. It's kinda gotten to a point where I expect it to leave me stranded any day now. It was an expensive "in the meantime" car.

1993 2 Dr Euro - Bought New
Still have it after 10yrs so I must like it. Have aways liked looks and handling. Brakes are terrible. Gotta use parking brake always else cylinders seize (another $400 bucks twice over). Metal pipes in cooling system all rot and leak. $400 for the one at the intake manifold (broke off during repair). Spliced a hose onto the lower one coming out of the radiator. Really dumb engineering. Needed a new computer at 65K. Also trunk leaks and can't find source. It's red and still looks like new. Very comfortable to ride in. Prefer over my Honda Accord to drive.I must like it...I still have it! 17 and 25-30 mpg, not bad for 3.1 v6.
Truly a FABULOUS FABULOUS car
The Chevy Lumina was one of the best cars ive ever owned. So much in that i purchased 3 of them, 1990 sedan, 1990 Euro 3.1 and 1994 Z34 cpe. None brokedown, no issues whatsoever, very reliable. Loved the exhaust note (todays cars are too damn quiet), plenty of room (im 6ft), good sized trunk, great design, built tough and spirited driving experience.

30 years & over 3014 K miles - Running Strong!
Love this car. Great visibility. Enjoyable to drive. Nice styling. Very reliable. Very economical. I've owned mine for about 23 years. Original engine. I've replaced a lot over the years, but it's always been manageable. Everything works on my car and it's reliable transportation. It will probably last longer than I will. 314,000 miles and still running strong!
