Used 2006 Chevrolet Cobalt Sedan Consumer Reviews
Consistency
Car drives great. Don't feel the bumps much but hear them like cracking noises. First few thousand miles were good but in the cold Vermont winters the car took so much gas. About 19 mpg mix of city and highway. It would make loud noises from the heater fan when cold. On ice would lose the car accelerator functionality for about 10 seconds. Even if just one wheel touches some ice - no gas pedal. The car feels sturdy even at high speeds and the steering gets stiffer as we go faster. Car is fast with good pickup and great sound system. The transmission is having trouble already in deciding what gear to take.
Best car I have ever owned
I drive this car at least an hour back and forth to work every day and it has never once broke down. I change my oil every 4000 miles and keep a clean air filter. I just hit 90,000 and going strong. my key has never once got stuck in the ignition and gas does not come gushing out when its full. Really don't understand why there are so many bad reviews.

My first Chevy
My commute is 135 miles per day, and the gas prices were eating me alive in my 22 mpg Ranger. We determined that if I could get about 32 mpg, the gas savings would make the car payment. The car felt good, the dealer wasn't pushy and although it was used it was a certified car. I have taken it to the dealer for two minor warrenty issues, and have been very happy. This is a great little comuter car, that for 2 avg size people could be a cross country car. The interior has a few issues with the cheap plastic, but for the price of this car, it's quite affordable with a good safety rating. For the same price, I could have got an older, high milage Corolla without as many features
Not a Porsche but not $40,000
I've had my Cobalt for 7 months and it is time to rate it. It's great. I'm really a big car fan but this is a fun car. I drive about 250 miles every 4 to 5 days and I enjoy. I got every option except the ashtray for $18,200, let's see Honda beat that. Okay it does have cheap plastic interior like thay say but for the money I think it is a fine car.
My new Cobalt
Purchased car 3 weeks ago. Only 900 miles on it. I get 32 miles per gallon city/highway combined, mostly highway The handing is average, the engine is quiet, the interior I find uncomfortable. Transmission shifts nicely and low interior noise. I have leather interior but being the car was on the lot already. I dont have the leather steering wheel which should be standard with this interior.
