Do NOT buy a used A4 if you don't also purchase a full aftermarket warranty at the same time! My car was literally in the shop every month for the past year and has been in every week for the past 5 weeks. I am completely underwhelmed ....

This car will be in the shop more then a toyota, but there is a reason why you didn't want a toyota in the fist place, I love the styling and everything about this car.

I love my A4 but the reviews are true. My model year rec'd high marks for everything Xcpt suspension; these cars crush themselves under their own wght & wear down the assoc parts more quickly. It's a heavy car and it makes a difference in an accident; I was broadsided at 35mph; I lost my rear passenger door and some trim but wasn't hurt. Interior ergonomics second to none; 5-speed auto is silk. Get 30mpg on the highway with the 2.8L. It's prudent to get the timing belt changed much earlier than the rcmmndd mfgr mlge date. These are things that have to be done on any auto anyway.

Lead: Never Follow. Thats truly what Audi is all about. My lil' yellow rocket has so much in such a compact car. The 172HP V6 has plenty of get-up and go and has excellent handling and still a very smooth ride. Of course there is the fear of german cars, but I myself have not had many problems with mine. Other than basic maintenance, I've never had a problem. With 124,000 miles, this engine has plenty left too. And with the 1996 worth a measly $5-$6k, you can get style, comfort, and performance at a great price. And with Quattro, you can't co wrong. It adds versatility to the list as well. Overall, I would highly recommend this car to anyone, young or old.

This Audi is a gem to look at from every angle. Looks better than the 96' 3 series and the 02' A4. Quattro gives snow days a blast and you can do all sorts of tricks in the snow. Before purchasing this, I would find a friendly mechanic who can work on Audi's. Don't bother taking it to a dealer and only bring it there for only changes and minor work.

I loved this car the day I bought it. I purchased with 85K and have only had work on the rear brakes. Car is amazingly fast and handles like a sports car. Suspension is perfect for any driving situation and has an extremely comfortable ride. I would encourage any one to buy this vehicle.

This is a good all around car. It handles like a dream but lack a little power but is suffiecient. Interior and extierior design is wonderful yet simple. This car will last forever IF you take care of it. If you neglect it just a little the problems show up. Great car I love it!

I've been only owning this vehicle since Sep 2003. 2 months after I bought it, the thermostat broke down and it made the coolant temp boiling. Luckily I got it fixed at a minimal cost at $147Cdn at a friend's garage. I hope it keep away from problems.

I'm telling you the Audi A4 Quattro has won me over all the cars i have ever driven in my life. I had a Mustang V6 and its no comparation to the Audi A4 Quattro. I bought my Audi with 124,000 miles and it's unbelivable how good it feels with all those miles, when i first test drove the car i though it had much less. Let me tell you I believe that if you purchase an Audi A4 with alot of miles but with alot of repairs done you better off. The car looks great and runs great. The Quattro system is really nice in the rain and in any road condition. I really believe that its price is worth for this car!!! GREAT CAR!!!!

Never think of buying a 96 Audi A4.I have spent 10K for repairs of this car until now.Thanks God mostly paid off by extended warranty(feel sorry about them).Transmission/clutch very poor (replaced-still uncomfortable)Tie rod ends replaced and many other mechanical problems occured.Just the biggest pain I ever had in my entire life.
