2005 Toyota Sequoia SR5 Rwd 4dr SUV (4.7L 8cyl 5A)

Review

Like it overall. the jury is still out on the transmission. I question the shift patterns. But the dealer says there's not a problem. But overall it is all i expected my first SUV to be.

Favorite Features

The size, I am 6'7" and it fits me.

Suggested Improvements

Would like to see the gear selector on the floor instead of the column. Also would like the option of not getting the third row of seats. Only two in the family and the third row was not necessary in my case.

2005 Toyota Sequoia Limited 4WD 4dr SUV (4.7L 8cyl 5A)

Review

The Sequoia is the best overall large SUV out there. It has a great engine, large cabin and the rear window that retracts all the way down is a huge plus for carrying long items. The mileage isn't great but it is better then expected for such a large vehicle. The Navigation and DVD system are not up to par with the Acura system. The DVD needs to be controlled with a remote control and you can only enter an address in the Nav system when in Park. Small complaints for an overall great truck.

Favorite Features

Great 4wd system. Very large and comfortable in all rows. Room behind 3rd row is decent and with the 3rd row flipped even more space. Easy to remove 3rd row seats. Strong engine.

Suggested Improvements

More intuitive Nav system. DVD should be able to be fully controlled by the in dash system. Mats are flimsy and don't protect the entire carpet - Catch-All mats are a good option for all rows and the rear.

2005 Toyota Sequoia SR5 Rwd 4dr SUV (4.7L 8cyl 5A)

Review

The vehicle is great, there some small things that I would change, but as far as perfomance and depandabilty it is great!!!!

Favorite Features

My rear window in it rolls down. I also like all the side airbags. THe seats are easy to manuever and remove.

Suggested Improvements

Put a chime for the headlights when they are left on. Also put a switch around the headlights controler where you can actually turn on all the interior light instead of having to reach on the headliner to find a light switch.

Review

The Sequoia has been great! It was bigger than I thought however drove much smaller very nimble. I did not like how the Tahoe and the GMC products steering felt (too loose), and the entrance to the back seats are much easier than the Navigator. The engine sounds deep when you step, otherwise fairly quiet. Gas mileage is not good but it's a V8. No problems with squeaks or rattles of any kind.

Suggested Improvements

Gas mileage, have not figured out how to turn off headlights when car is in drive....When you approach a military base you have to dim your lights and I can't seem to unless the car is in park.
