Used 2004 Volkswagen Touareg Consumer Reviews
The Touareg-fantastic car
This car IS all that it is cracked up to be. The drive is excellent and and so is the luxurious inside. The GPS is great and really comes in handy. It is a a fantastic car due to its versatility. It is a fantastic luxury SUV as well as an excellent offroad car (I've taken it offroad). The car has a very smooth drive and a lot of power. 310 horse! When you shift it into Sport mode (S) it really can fly. I think this car beats the FX's and the RX330 due to its versatility and price. You get a lot more for the money. The major downside of this car is the fuel efficiency.
What a Truck!
This is by far the greatest SUV on the market. Customer service is wonderful too!

Toureg Disappointment
I saw the Toureg at the auto show and loved the looks. But overall, very disappointing. Mileage has been less than expected. Multiple problems with the electrical system-tire pressure warning light won't go out and sometimes the left side head and tail lights won't go out without turning the car on and off several times. I agree completely with the Edmunds review about the peculiar acceleration of the car and handling. I've always had Toyota products before and I wish I had stuck with them.
Good Egg
The Touareg has been a wonder addition to our family. Given the competition this vehicle does most of everything you can ask for when compared to it's peers. The interior is timeless, it rides better than most luxury cars on the highway, and has been thoughfully designed in almost every way. We've not seen another SUV, foreign or domestic, that compares to the VW in terms of quality and design.
Best of SUVs
The craftmanship and quality of superior engeneering placed on a conservative but savage SUV like the TReg.
