Used 2005 Toyota Tacoma Double Cab Consumer Reviews
4WD 4 Door TRD TOY!
This is one awesome Taco! Been driving this now for 2 months, it is a perfect truck. I struggled with the decision of a full size truck vs midsize. The new Tacoma is a perfect blend of fullsize function and midsize fun. I didn't want a truck that drove like a truck (long brake distance, funky cornering, etc) This Truck stops quickly and is responsive in cornering, plus it fits in my garage! One thing important to note, with the Off Road package, it is a bit bumpy, but again this isn't a granny sedan! The truck is great, very powerful, excellent acceleration off the line. And finally I love the fact I won't have to worry about major problems.... it's a Toyota!
Solid truck
I would recommend this truck to anyone. Good power & handling , good fuel mileage. It's an excellent truck overall.

A head turner
When new, the truck got more than its share of attention. Good mileage and great ride are pluses. Cargo capacity when camping or hunting can't be beat. Also has gone places 4X4s wouldn't go. Air conditioner has been only problem with radiator and now A/C clutch needing to be changed.
Best truck pound for pound
Most reliable and fun to drive pickup in it's class, impressive exterior and interior features, an eye catcher.
My First Toyota
I drove everything else. The Toyota drove bettter and handled better and had a bigger bed. Tons of power, smooth ride for a truck and great stance... The best part is the fact that with the TRD package I sit just as high as a stock 4x4 F-150! It took two weeks to find a blue 4x4 double cab with TRD in So Cal, but was worth the wait. First auto tranny I've owned.
