2004 Base 4WD RAV4 5 Speed
I bought the RAV4 for my wife because she liked the looks and we have had good experiences with Toyotas. I would have preferred an Element, but she hated the appearance. Anyway, now that we have it, it is growing on me. It is somewhat underpowered, even with the new 2.4L, so if you drive quickly, avoid the automatic, as it will be constantly downshifting, which is very noisy. With a 5 speed it is O.K. Handling is also O.K., it seems a little less precise than a 2003, although that is from memory. Steering and pedals all have a very light feel. But reasonably enjoyable to drive, especially for an SUV.
My little RAV
I love my RAV. It rides smooth for a small SUV. The sound system is great and the reliability is wonderful!!!!

Fun Car but it rattles!
This is my first SUV and I love it! It is tight on the road not matter what the weather and is just plain fun to drive. However, since Day 1 there is a constant rattle coming from the front. The dealer remove the front end - could find nothing loose and sprayed the entire area with foam. This took care of the problem but it came back after 2 weeks! Unfortunately I will have to make the time to bring it in again and I only have 1000 miles on the car! The service manager said this was the 2nd RAV4 with a mysterious rattle.
My Blue RAV 4
This SUV goes very excellent in the rain and the snow. NO problems at all with this vehicle.
RAVEN
Very comfortable and easy to drive and maneuver, however poor pick up due to low horespower. As well, can only get same color side stripe with the L pack. The RAV 4 looks better with the stripe the same color as truck...would sell better if had that option outside of L Pack.
great car
this car is fun to drive, easy to handle. the only downside is the seat is hard to adjust to the way I like it.
Rav 4 Review
So far the experience has been great! I would bye another one.
Amazing Vehicle
The toyota Rav 4 is a very reliable SUV. Not only is it fun to drive, but it handles extremely well in all weather. The RAV4 is my favorite SUV on the market because it is not a large vehicle, the inside has the same amount of room as a car, but the outside is big and off the ground. Being a college student, this is the perfect car for me because of its size and performance.
toyota rav4
So far its been a great vehicle, very economical, Usual Toyota fit and finish. I only wish that we didnt have a distributor here in the SouthEast region it was very hard to find the option or color combination we were looking for unless it was installed by this so called distributor which to me sounds like aftermarket. We had to be careful about the options like the remote entry on some vehicles were marked TDS which at first glance looks like a factory option but it isnt, it seems like it should be illegal to market these options unless the customers are told.
The Perfect Car
I love it. I have had it for a month now. 1,120 miles and I love it more everyday. I have th L pkg with Leather, moon roof the works it is awesome. I live in the Bay area and traffic is insane. The visabilty make changing lanes much easier. I no longer mind ( well not as much) sitting in endless traffic. I also travel out of town for work I use to enjoy renting cars. Now i just miss my car.,
