Except some idiot totaled out my 2014Prius C. I am an independent contract medical courier and dive 60-70,000 miles a year. My 2014 had 266,000 trouble free miles on it and the auto shop said it was in perfect condition for another 150,000 miles. So.......I replaced it with a comparable 2018 Prius C. I feel like I have my old friend back.....better styling, certainly. Better rear visibility as well as a back up camera. Perhaps maybe a tad better gas mileage, though it is too soon to tell. Reviews by driver editors aren’t driving their vehicles 10 hours a day, 5 days a week in Las Vegas traffic and heading out of town or to the mountains on their days off. Yes, it is a little underpowered driving up to 12,000 feet to go skiing. My Jeep would have more power, getting 12 MPG doing it. Cheap plastic interior? Sure, and a bazillion little holding spots for coffee cups, water bottles, garage door opener, change holders, cell phone, scanner and hand help GPS, sunglasses, spare sunglasses, etc. And huge door pockets and glove box. Ideal vehicle for someone that drives distances loves economy and does all preventive maintenance. Looking forward to half a million mile club.

This is third one we’ve owned. All base models. Head and shoulders above each successive models. 55 mpg with good handling and safety features. Wagonlike space with leftback design. Battery life seems to have been no problem. Gas/electric combo rules out any concerns on long trips. Great car for teen/ first time drivers as they like the Golf Cart like noiseless performance and great sight lines. Safety features abound on base model. Where else can you get a new car for around $23k and save the planet!
