Suspension & traction
My first trip to the beach brought a scary moment. This 2014 was on a slight incline in a sand parking lot & would not start. It has a traction system that requires equal weight distribution on all 4 tires. The car required being pushed to a flat hard-packed sand surface before it would start. I had owned it less than a week, having bought it used. This was a panic situation. The salesman read me a well documented history of this “ safety feature”, which, in fact, leaves the driver powerless. This same traction feature caused it to shutdown a second time, when pulled off the highway, when there was not even distribution on all 4 tires. My question is, do owners disable this feature? Is this something that needs owners to be made aware of? Why is this Prius known handling not made more known?

Best car you can own
I've owned two cars a year for 30 years. This one is the best all round.
