Used 2017 Toyota Prius Prime Hatchback Consumer Reviews
It's a near perfect car
I love my new Prius Prime and have found it the perfect car for me. I feel I'm in full control of the car, which is ver responsive to my actions. I especially like the blind spot indicator, which gives me a sense of security in highways. The seats are super comfortable. The one flaw in the design is the short sun visor that when placed to the side to block the sun on the driver's side does not cover sufficient space on the window.

Even better than expected
This car is even better than expected. I bought the plug-in because I anticipated that we don’t drive a lot every day, and in fact, that is true. Almost every day we do not exceed the miles we get after the 5+ hour plus-in. Those miles now are over 30 per day. And while in electric it is a sprightly car around town. We rarely need it but it has great acceleration available. it is comfortable with lots of electronic aids, both safety (blind spot, lane departure, adjusted cruise control) and comfort (e.g., heated steering wheel, rain sensitive wipers. I don’t find the lack of a rear wiper that problematic unless it is raining hard and I am in traffic. Further, the car is solid and quiet. The 2010-2016 Priuses were neither: we owned both a 2010 and 2015. I recommend the car highly.

Best value for money
Combine the resale value with the tax rebate and the combination is unbeatable. Bought at end of 2017 in case they change the tax laws. My second Prius. Look at it like a Tesla 3 that is reliable and won't break. I still trust Toyota more than Tesla. Reliability convinced me in the end.

Love the Prime
Plug-In Hybrid is the BEST Design. Much better than Electric-only, which requires long recharging stops for trips farther than the battery-miles. With the 25-30 mile Battery capacity, the 2017 Prius Prime is perfect for my 15 mile drive to work, where I can also plug-in. I only use Gas when I drive the 20 miles to the City, don't plug-in and run out of Battery on the trip home. Then the efficiency of the Prius ICE allows it to get 55-60 mpg.

My Prius Prime Space Vehicle
The Prius Prime Premium is the best Prius ever. It comes with most of the features I want. The safety is fantastic. The auto braking system, and radar speed control system have saved me from several accidents. Charging the battery results in 30 miles EV range, and mpg averages 70mpg in winter and 90 mpg in summer. Only needs gas once every 6 weeks.
