A nice high profile for a smaller SUV type vehicle. I don't usually like larger cars and when I needed a new car, I was looking for a corolla type vehicle. This allows me much more cargo space without being a BIG car. Mileage is good at about 28.

Absolutely thrilled with the 2003 Matrix. It is very comfortable to drive, excellent versatility with the large cargo space, and has more bang for the buck as compared to other 4wd models. Also very impressed with the high quality.

I been looking for a new vehicle for a while. I needed room for kids, great gas mileage, a sporty drive, & reliability. The Matrix has it all. I've only had the vehicle for 4 days, but I'm really impressed! I do a lot of highway driving & so far I'm managing 42.6 mpg with the 5-speed. All my friends think the car looks great & it has room to haul all my kids stuff to boot! Also, I'm not worried about the reliability since it's a Toyota. A excellent car so far, I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a small, sporty SUV.

It's an optical illusion from the outside-it appears that the seating would be "low" --instead The seats are spring/cushy and sit high.(Before I had a Subaru Outback, the seats sit just as high.) Wonderful ride, handling and Fun to drive. The best part MPG. My first ank of gas was a combinaton of Houston traffic and highway miles 30.8 with my AUTOMATIC
