Used 2004 Toyota Highlander SUV Consumer Reviews
Just got it
I just picked up my Highlander today. I traded in a 1999 4Runner with high mileage. So far, so good. I really had my heart set on another 4Runner, but, I really enjoyed the test drive. Its got great pickup a smooth ride and great handling. I'm going to ease into it adjusting for the 4Runner- but I'm sure it will be a breeze
Love My Highlander
We bought a 2002 and upgraded to a 2004 4WD this year. Simply love this car and didn't give a thought to any other SUV on the market. It rides and handles beautifully. It's very easy to get in and out of and is quite comfortable for my bad back [had several surgeries]. We can't believe how much cargo it can carry. And, it's a very classy vehicle to go out in. Couldn't recommend it enough.

Highlander - Best Buy
It took a while to pick a good mid-size AWD. Final choices were Subaru Forester XT Turbo, Legacy Outback V6 or Highlander V6. Forester has a comparable power, similar price and has about the same, above-average fuel consuption. Then, why not go with the "Best Buy" Highlander instead of "Recommended" Forester? Highlander has been very helpful in the first 6 - 8 inch snowfall. There were no problems getting around or getting the car parked on snowy parking lots. Every hard turn on a slippery road was handled by VSC and traction control without any problems. Very reliable, confident driving. Has a lot of useful hi-tech features plus full-time AWD!
Love this car
Best car I have owned in years
Toyota Fun
The vehicle is built great and right the first time. There are NO problems with anything in or out of this vehicle. Body panels fit tight and equal in all area of the car. Fit and finish of the interior are better than most other cars on the road today
Pumped about the New Highlander
We just purchased one of these cars. We could not be happier with our decision. We were looking for a 2002 or 2003 used Highlander, but they were scarce. That alone should say something about the quality. We are looking forward to many years with our new ride.
Toyota Higlander - best of 48 SUV's
Excellent cornering and car-like diveability. Great emmergency speed and MPG.
Great Buy
We just bought this vehicle, but we love it already. It is such a smooth ride and feels solid. We don't even worry about reliability. Safety was also important so this was a great choice for us. The out the door price was $25,000 which was 1% over invoice, not too bad. The sticker was 25,817 plus we added about 350 to that cost in extras. Glad we stepped up in size from the CRV, Rav 4 class of vehicle.
Love this SUV!!!
I am so impressed with the way the Highlander handles and rides like a car. The AWD is definitely the way to go. I feel very secure in the Highlander.
Typical Toyota, awesome!
Taught chasis, quiet engine with a nice v6 growl under full throttle, nimble handling, smooth powertrain you'd never guess it was AWD. Flawless build quality, very nice cloth seating fabric and excellent color selections. The center console is oddly designed and frustrating to use its underside storage shelf while driving.
